Hi, I recently started taking my wrong answer journaling much more seriously since my last PT rather than just doing a somewhat brief and quick BR of the questions on the site due to the anticipation of my PT score. I think I have a good grasp on my LR incorrect answer journal based on what a previous tutor told me on a post of mine a few weeks ago, writing in my explanations for new or kept answers during a BR, so I can then evaluate my thinking when I see whether I was right or not, and what other inferences/tidbits of info I may have missed even if I was right, based on JY's explanations. Though for RC I am not really sure what to do, as I find it harder to remember what my reasoning was typically, due to it being more intuitive rather than cookie cutter in contrast to LR due to the nature of reading longer texts and passages, I find for my self at least. Maybe this shows a glaring flaw in how I approach RC.

P.S: Are there any recommendations for a good and free screen recording software that I can use during PTs?

Just received my November LSAT score and definitely did not do as well as I hoped. I scored about 10 points under what I as PTing which is extremely frustrating. Some of the schools I was looking at are a bit out of reach now. I plan on retaking in January but is it worth it to try applying to some schools if I am over their median/75th percentile GPA but now barely making the 25th percentile on their LSAT scores? Or should I just wait until I retake in January?

My November Lsat score was 157 (did not expect to get this). This would put me at 65 percentile.

What do you guys think my chances for Ontario schools are? Given the smaller applicant pool this year.

Ive applied to Windsor dual, Queens, Western, Osgoode, Ryerson(TMU), Ottawa.

Personally I think id be good for Windsor and Western maybe.

Looking for advice on whether I should send GRE or LSAT. If I send GRE, I would cancel my LSAT score.

Me: I attended an Ivy League school and graduated magna cum laude. I work in a gov. job with name recognition. I have been out of school for five years. I think I have a compelling story and am a POC. Standardized testing has never been my strong suit, but I think my GPA/awards show I can succeed in a demanding academic environment. I also took a law course at the T-14 law school during my undergrad. Hoping to pursue a public interest law career.

LSAT: 158

GRE: Verbal (164, 94th), Quant (154, 47th), Writing: 5 (91st)

I'm open to retesting in January, but because I'm working full-time I want to be realistic about how much I can improve.

My read of recent news is that schools are starting to move away from weighing standardized test scores as highly as they have in the past. Seems like there is interest in recruiting more diverse candidates interested in public service. Wondering if these factors might also sway my calculus.

What would you do?

Why is it that for MBT questions we do not try all scenarios before picking an AC? For example, question 3 reads, “If K sits directly between L & P, then M must sit between..” for this in the live commentary, she writes PKL but doesn’t try for LKP. I understand that both scenarios lead to the same AC. However, shouldn’t we try all scenarios before selecting an AC? A MBT AC should apply to all scenarios, not just one. Just trying to figure out what’s best practice. #help

These numbers are hardly moving. Granted, I have been on here for less than two months, but for some reason each time I log in and see this I feel discouraged and hopeless. Any suggestions?

ps. I plan to take July 23 test

I recently did and canceled the score for my Nov. LSAT, which I did with only 2 1/2, 3ish months of rather haphazard studying. The lowest PT score I got was 145, highest was 154, and I averaged out at 149. I was disappointed, but given my trajectory, I was not entirely surprised. I do the worst at LG, followed by LR, RC is my strongest. I've been distracted by the holidays and am restarting this week. I'm trying to figure out what I should do to move forward.

I am thinking mainly of doubling down on LG hard and making them the focus of five-day study weeks. Two-four hours a day. As well as approaching my LR problem children. Is it realistic to see my scores breaking into the 160s by Feb?

Is it bad to have multiple score cancellations/ worse than scoring lower on your second test? I cancelled my first score in August of 2021, scored a 155 in November 2022, and now scored worse than a 155 (151) and do not know if I should cancel this score because of the decrease, or not worry because will the schools only care about my 155? I have only 24 hours left to decide to cancel or not and am so so so confused as to what to do... PLEASE HELP! Any advice GREATLY appreciated!!!!

I took the LSAT in October 2022 and didn't do nearly as well as I was hoping. I have made the conscious decision to take the LSAT at a later date so I am not only fully prepared but also have many options to apply to more competitive schools. If anyone is interested, I would love to create a study group. Anyone interested?

Hi all,

Any advice on how to incorporate the live classes into the CC? I just purchased the Monthy+Live plan and am planning to take the lsat in about 9 months. I am wondering at what point I should start seriously utilizing the live classes. I noticed the live classes include questions from prep tests beyond the 30 old ones saved for drilling in the CC. That made me weary of joining any of them before I have taken a fair share of the newer practice tests.

Hey guys,

Looking for another (or multiple) 7sager(s) who can help me keep on a disciplined and rigorous study track. Like many of you I'm sure, LSAT studying requires a lot of discipline and forgoing things that I would much rather be doing.

If I have to choose between taking a practice exam, and basically anything else in the universe, it requires a serious effort of the will to take that darned exam.

If you are in a similar spot, message me and we can exchange numbers to create an accountability web and word together to get that 180 :)

I did not chose D because it has the word 'interest'. But to me this sounded superficial as oppose to beneficial. I chose E because it shows the exact correlation between the two, but i did think it was a strong statement. Can somebody help?

Recently a school reached out to me and requested transcripts for a Paralegal certification course I took after college. The course is two separate 7-week classes. However due to finals and my legal internship I did not take them back-to-back which is why I correctly put 05/21 to 10/21 on my resume. I have two pieces of evidence to prove this. The transcript shows 05/21 to 08/21 because I guess they just count it as two consecutive courses.

I'm conflicted about if I should reach out to admissions or not. On one hand I feel like it might not be a huge deal but on the other hand I feel like if they admissions committee thinks I'm just outright lying on my resume for no reason it can jeopardize my acceptance chances.

I'm taking the January LSAT but already applied to all my schools, indicating on the apps that I'll be taking the future January LSAT (so presumably they're holding my application until the Jan. score comes in).

But in the hopefully avoidable event that my January LSAT score is lower than my present score and I decide to cancel it with score preview, will law schools automatically know that I cancelled my Jan. score and proceed with review or will they still hold my application, expecting Jan scores to come in? Am I supposed to update them that I cancelled my score or does LSAC send a report?
