Am I allowed to use notes during the planning period to answer the questions? I'm thinking that possibly for some of the questions it might be helpful to look at some of my planned answers during the the 30 second planning period before actually answering.

how did you guys study using the core curriculum/practice tests? did you go through the entire core curriculum as is (ex: doing several of the weaken question problem sets in a row) or did you not do all and go back to them? I'm just confused as to what I would use for drilling after I go through the entire core curriculum in order? (also, the core curriculum is just considered everything before you reach the practice tests correct? or is it everything before diagnostic?)

Does anyone know if there's a filter to look for sets vs. supersets type questions? Or is there a place in the core curriculum that deals with these issues? I'm not talking about just the valid vs. invalid inferences from existential relationships, but more like the more recent PT questions that have stimuli like "most mammal species of ... are not, but most individual mammals are ..."

Does anyone have any advice on how to systematically (with a process) attack these problems? I usually do them based on my intuition, but I find that can just be very nerve-wracking. Sometimes, I draw circles/Venn diagrams, too, but I never quite know what to do with them/it's hard for me to infer anything from them.

I understand that [All] statements negate to a [Some, Not] statement

(All cats are pretentious) negates to (Some cats are not pretentious)

Following this, [Some] statements negate to [None]

(Some cats are pretentious) negates to (No cats are pretentious)

The question I am seeking clarification on is for negating [Some, Not] statements; does [Some, Not] negate back to [All]?

(Some dogs are not brave) negates to (All dogs are brave)?

I am taking the October Flex and I have a question about the LSAT writing. I took the LSAT last July, when it first became digital and cancelled my score after being able to see it. I have an LSAT writing on record on the lsac website from 7/15/19, which I am able to read. It also gives me an option to "launch lsat writing" for this October test....do I need to do a new lsat writing section or can the one I already have on file be used?

I am post-CC right now and so far I've only done Pt 36 along with some timed sections. Regarding timed sections, would it make sense to superscore each section as a practice test and input the data into analytics? I'm quite confused on this front because I would like to boost the analytics data to see my weak areas. Additionally, how often would most recommend completing these sections throughout, the week, as I don't want to burn through too many pts too soon?

Has anyone applied, what score got you in, how are scholarships, anyone on campus? What is the culture like?

Hi guys are we supposed to be taking all the practice sets at the end of LR or taking one and saving them to come back to. I did the first two and i was going to finish it but then i read discussion posts saying not to do that.

I have spent the past 10 days focusing mostly on RC. I am having a great deal of trouble with this section. JY's low-res summary has not helped me one bit. I am having great troubles understanding the passage before moving into the questions. I have started looking into possible tutors to help develop strategies that will help me. I had a call with a company called "Varsity Tutors" today, they gave me a quote of $1200 for 12 hours of 1 on 1 instruction time. The price seems absolutely ludicrous given the amount of supervision.

I'm feeling defeated at this point, and any help would be greatly appreciated

Let’s say “The more A, the more B” is given as a Premise, not Conclusion

Does this mean that the Only contributing factor to B is the A, regardless of any other factors?

Since it literally means the more A, the more B, if A goes up, then B should go up, right?

Then as long as A is more, then other factors doesn’t matter?

OR is the proposition imply that “if all other factors are equal”? So even if A rises, if the other factors are not equal and offset the proportional relationship between A and B?

I'm wondering if applying in February after the January test would significantly lower my scholarship money offered at mid tier schools? Like if I get a 160 on the November test, and my top school has a median LSAT of 157, do you think I'd get more money at the normal deadline, or would retaking and getting a 163 in January put me in a better position to get more money at the same school? I probably won't retake if the majority of money is used by most programs by February. Thank you for your help.

Does anyone know how to go about getting an LSAT tutor/how an tutor would help you? I haven't done all the 7Sage curriculum or done many practice test, but the ones I have taken I have averaged 152. Would I be better off saving money and doing all the curriculum and doing more PTs, or would a tutor be even more beneficial? It's not that I don't understand the material it's just that I don't have a lot of practice I think. Also does anyone know how much a tutor would be for about 3 months? TIA

Hello everyone, I'm still going through the core curriculum and currently on the sufficient assumption section. I wanted ti improve my studying techniques and I was wondering how you were all effectively taking notes on the specific questions. By that I mean the questions in the problem sets and the questions that occur individually before the problem sets. Is it more useful to write out notes or to use the note taking feature provided for us? What exactly do you all find useful to write down?
