Dear all,

I came across this article on avg URM LSAT and GPA by school but it is from 2017 and was wondering how accurate it is. I have not been able to find anything more recent:

https://blog.powerscore.com/lsat/do-underrepresented-minority-urm-applicants-have-a-law-school-admissions-advantage/

It basically goes through a dataset of admitted/rejected applicants and shows which schools have lower LSAT/GPA medians for URMs versus their overall medians.

Thanks,

-5 to -7 on LR and RC, -11, -14 on LG. I've been doing games for over a month and my test is in 2 days pretty much. Really thought I was gonna be able to have these click but it just didn't. I thought this was supposed to be the most "learnable" part of this test? What is wrong with me

Any tips to increase speed on LR. I get up to question 19-20 with around 2-4 wrong but the last 5 I tend to have an average of 5 minutes to complete. Should I attack it in a different way maybe going with the lsat 5 Questions first then solving the rest any tips would be great!

Not trying to get into T14 or 25. Middle-of-the-pack schools with medians in the low 160s. Is it worth applying in April? I'm not waiting for another cycle, so it's a matter of applying now or in April. Is it even worth trying?

Is the main conclusion for main conclusion questions always explicitly stated in the stimulus? I was wondering if there was ever a case where the main conclusion turned out not to be in the stimulus but an answer choice that happened to be supported by all the premises in the stimulus. Or would this be a MSS thing instead?

Thanks.

I'm planning to take the August 2024 test and using the new testing feature on 7Sage. I am trying to make sure the tests I take in the future are untouched by drilling. But I'm confused whether material from beyond 36 is being used. I did some drilling earlier and it looks like there are some tests after 36 that have been used. Thanks for your help in advance.

Hello! New here and aiming for the June 2024 test. I am following the curriculum based on that date and so far it has only asked me to take one practice test. Is the idea to take the rest after I am done with the material?

Hi all,

I'm struggling a little with understanding how some of the conditional indicators (if, when, etc.) imply the exclusion of other conditions.

For example, the below makes sense to me:

If you are in New York, then you are in the United States.

Maybe because the content is familiar? Of course not being in the United States means you're not in New York, so /USA -> /NY

But, in the following example question:

A teacher earns respect if she fosters a love of learning.

Must we assume that if means if and only if, in this case meaning the only way she can earn respect is by fostering a love of learning? Couldn't she be a Nobel Prize winner that does not foster a love of learning, but is still respected?

If I am getting -10 consistently on reading comp and i am taking jan lsat, should I just cut out an entire passage, and try to do my best on 3 passages?

Hey, I'm a second time LSAT test taker. I just started studying again this week (Tuesday) and have been consistently studying for 2-3 hours a day up until this point. I am trying to build up my endurance so I can eventually study for long hours and I have been taking it slow to avoid burnout. I looked at my study schedule and I am about 19 hours behind on my schedule for Monday (which already has me starting an entirely new plan for the week). It is currently 8:00 PM where I live and I don't think I can crank out 19 hours of studying until Monday without major burnout. I really don't want to fall behind on my study schedule, but I also need to be able to sleep and function.

What should I do?

Edit: For context, I plan on re-taking in April but I'm flexible and could take it in June.

We want to improve our notes features and we need your input!

What format do you take your study notes in? Handwritten, Word doc, spreadsheet, etc?

Roughly how many notes do you have altogether, in any format? Approximately how many do you add each week (or month, or whatever)?

What do you takes on? E.g., lessons, live classes, PrepTests, drills, questions, explanations, or anything else? If you take notes on more than one kind of thing, roughly what percent of your notes fall into each category?

Please respond in the comments. Thank you for your help!

I was originally scheduled to take the January lsat next week with hopes to go to law school this 2024 cycle. I have now changed my lsat date to June 2024 with intentions to going to law school in the 2025 cycle. My goal is to get in the 160-165 range. I am locked in these next 6 months.

I'm having so much trouble with finding flaws in LR. I feel like my NA and Flaw questions are suffering because of it. Can anyone explain to me their process when trying to find flaws?

Who reviews the explanations for LR questions that you get correct? I'd like to do it. I've read that it helps cement good reasoning. But there's just so many that it takes up tons of time. I always review the explanations for the questions that I get incorrect.

I applied for a fee waiver through the LSAC for my applications but was instantly denied since I disclosed my parents' income information on the form. I have to pay for my applications myself and plan to send them out by the end of the month (I am taking the Jan LSAT) but don't know how I will be able to pay for them myself since I won't have help from my parents. Has anyone had any experience with emailing admissions offices asking them directly for fee waivers? Does it look bad to ask? Is it too late to ask? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

Hey What can I do? I bought the LIVE 7Sage subscription but I can't do anything with it because I do not have the upgraded Law Hub account. I'm registered for the Feb LSAT and I'm losing time. I applied for the Fee waiver and was denied. I do not know what else to do.

7Sage's drill-builder only lets you see the answers to questions after you finish the drill. We're thinking of letting you choose whether to see the answers at the end (as in the current setup) or to see the answers—and possibly an explanation—after each question of the drill.

I'd love to hear from you in the comments about whether, when, and how often you might choose to see answers after each question.
