Can anyone give me a rundown as to why the answer for this one is "D- A political interest group can become ineffective by expanding to include as wide a membership as possible" and not "A-political interest groups are generally less influential when their membership is expanding than when it is numerically stable?" Thanks!

I am just so confused about the answer choices provided and why A is the correct answer. Nowhere did the paragraph say that it is premature to talk about the critics' concerns.

Can someone help me with this question? I understand why AC B is correct but I'm having a hard time understanding why AC E is incorrect.

Hi all,

I have hit a score plateau recently. I am scoring 167-169 consistently with BR in the 170s (which I am glad about considering I started in the high 140 range). I have focused on drilling problem areas and working on timing between PTs and I see improvement in those areas of focus, but it seems like every time I fix one problem something else comes up in the next PT. What helped you break into the 170s, and how have you maintained improvements into PTs? What made the biggest difference score wise once you reached this phase in your studies?

Thanks!

Tutor vs. 7Sage

Hi all,

I am studying for the September 2022 LSAT, aiming for the 173+ range (currently PTing around 165/166). I have always been on the fence regarding tutoring, but I am especially confused now. I have recently been utilizing 7Sage and their package with full explanations, but wonder if a tutor would be more effective. I frequently see people scoring in the 99th percentile saying tutors helped a lot and they wish they would've used one sooner, but I can't help but wonder how using 7Sage's package with their detailed analytics is much different or any less effective. I understand tutoring is "tailored" to each student, however, by using 7Sage's analytics, I can easily see where I am having trouble and where I need to concentrate more of my efforts and time, which would essentially be what a tutor would do to tailor their lessons. Also, I feel like working a problem with a tutor just watching might be a little bit of a waste of time; I'm not sure what they could add that JY doesn't in his explanations.

Any thoughts would be appreciated and best of luck to everyone studying!

RC Help

Hi! I am planning on taking the LSAT in November, and I am struggling on RC. I keep coming up short by 3 questions every time I practice RC. I've tried different alternatives; can anyone give me advice on how to get more questions right? One thing I never understood why it can be important to indicate if a question is Global, specific, or concept references.

I started using 7sage with a 2 month study timeline since I'm taking the August 2022 test. It's way too much information crammed into each day/week and I've already covered much of this information with other programs as I've been studying for about a year. Any tips on how to cut down on some of the 7sage lessons and minimize the course to better fit a 2 month plan???

Hello! I hope everyone’s June LSAT went well. I am writing because I had to cancel my score for the June LSAT because the proctor bothered me so many times during the first two sections I practically had no focus and was stressed the whole exam. Did this happen to anybody else? I was interrupted many times because apparently I was “out of the camera frame” when I was using my scratch paper or when I came close to the laptop screen and my forehead was cut out. This was really frustrating because I can’t see myself on the camera during the test and I just don’t want to worry about this on the next exam. Does anyone have any advice on how to avoid this? A special camera that people used or a certain distance they kept themselves from the laptop?

Thank you!

GPA addendum

When I was in the military I took two community college classes basically for fun and did not think about grades. After getting my academic transcript back it brought my overall GPA down a little. Is this a situation that is worth writing an Addendum for?

I've recently been completing the Preptests with the 'Stimulate Modern' button on, was just wondering if there's a way to complete these skipped sections in the same format, as I found out that the current LSAT has an experimental section and I want to get used to doing 4 sections.

Basically, is there a way for my score to still reflect the 3 sections I'm completing but for me to do the skipped sections in the same timed conditions? Not sure where to find these without having to delete the record for the current preptest.

Hey everyone!

I noticed that I have been scoring around 18-19 marks out of each LR section I do.

I usually get around 18/24 on each LR section that is untimed.

But when it is timed I always get less than 18 questions right.

Is there any suggestions anyone can give me? How would I improve myself under timed conditions

Thank you!

Sometimes I have to take a breath and remind myself of why all this studying, hours, tears and heartburn is worth it. For me, the drive comes from envisioning myself helping employers and their employees stay aligned with the proper Labor and employment laws (a passion of mine) and having a lucrative career that can take care of my family for generations. What is your motivation for studying? Why do you want to be a lawyer?

RC Help

I have been studying for the LSAT for nearly a year now, and I have managed to get to the point where I am consistently scoring -0/-1 on LR and LG. However, for RC I am still scoring between -3/-5 consistently (this has never improved from when I started to study). Is there anything I can do to score more consistently? I really want to be in the -2/-3 range before the august LSAT. What have you mid to high 170's scorers done to raise your RC?

Thanks

Stimulus or Question Type First?

hi all! Happy Friday!!

Ellen Cassidy (EC) from Loophole is a strong proponent of the former but some disagree.

I have been studying for about 11 months and during the first few months, I liked reading question types first but decided to try stim-first approach after reading Loophole which I found to be helpful. At 10th month I got a much better handle on LR, scoring -3 to -5 untimed and I'm kind of tempted to switch back to see if it improves my timing.

EC argues that if you read questions first it will distract you when reading the stimulus.

Has anyone experienced anything similar??

Thanks for sharing!
