Hi everyone,

So I’ve been studying for the LSAT since may. I’ve been studying through Powerscore but my LR is still stuck at -7 to -10. LG is my strongest section so I’m not too worried about that. And RC is my worst section. I wanted to ask, how long does it take to get through the CC? I haven’t done any of the 7Sage CC, I’ve only been doing PT’s and reviewing. I want to start working more efficiently and effectively so I can improve my score. Any tips to improve my LR & RC score will be really helpful! My goal score is 166, and I’m currently at mid 150’s.

Thank you so much for any help in advance!

I want to begin studying for RC & was wondering if you guys thought 7sage's RC lessons were very beneficial or if I should use the Powerscore RC book that I have. RC is my worst section, so if anyone could provide me with their opinions on 7sage's RC material for the Course Curriculum that would be great. Thank you!

Got an email about the LSAT writing sample and was a bit confused so I hope someone can help. They repeatedly say the writing sample will be available to complete 8 days before testing day, so Oct 1. But HOW LONG is it available to complete after testing day?

I'm definitely not wasting precious time and energy on the writing sample before test day, but will be much less stressed after, so was hoping to complete it in the week after testing. But nowhere does it say how long you can do this! Anyone have any idea for me?

Thanks!

After reading the stimulus, I was wondering why the overall number of collisions didn't decline even after using headlights was made mandatory and I thought E explained the discrepancy. If it is true that the jurisdictions that have mandatory headlight laws have naturally low visibility, wouldn't that explain why the overall number of collisions didn't decrease?

As for answer choice C, is it suggesting that the reason the collision rate is lower for drivers that use headlights is not because of the headlights but because they are more careful drivers? I read LSAC's official explanation and am still confused about these two choices.

Struggling with this one. The negation of E wrecks the argument and is what I picked, but I am having a really difficult time eliminating A. Any thoughts on how to justify getting rid of it? Thanks!

I don't feel too great about my understanding of each LR question type. Does anyone have any tips or other source of material that helped everything truly click for them? LG has been great through 7sage but it's challenging for me to stay locked in and focused during the videos for LR as he tends to either talk very fast, jumps from one thing to another, or makes a mistake and corrects himself. it all just makes the flow of retaining the information more challenging for me.

Long story short: I'm looking for a time friendly solution to physically printing either problem sets or whole practice tests. For example, do you know of any way I could print a whole practice test with a click of a button that will only print the questions (no extra banners, texts, or other misc things like website banners) ?

Hi, I cancelled my upcoming premium renewal. It said I would have access until Oct. 6. However, after confirming cancellation, it now says I have access until August 6th. Is this a glitch? I was charged and paid Sept. 6 and saw the policy says I keep access until the month I purchased expires, not when I cancel. Any clarification would be appreciated.

EDIT: Now I can't even view a preptest....really hope this is a glitch and not misleading...

Hey everyone,

First time LSAT taker here. I'm taking the October LSAT on 10/10 and am hoping to get some input on when I should take my final PT. I've sort of been slingshotting between the mid 160s and low 170s on my PTs and was hoping to be more consistently in the 170s for game day. However, with the time I have left, I'm just going to do the best I can to get my best possible score and retake if necessary.

I'm curious if any repeat takers should advise on how to spend my last week and a half. I intend to take a PT this Sunday at the same time as my actual test to simulate it as best as possible. However, I also kind of want to take a last, final PT on Tuesday or Wednesday of next week. That said, many people have advised not to take any PTs in the last week leading up to the actual test.

Hoping people can share what worked for them and advise me on any tips that might help me maximize my score.

Good luck to everyone else taking the October test!

I just feel like I'm at a wall with LGs, I've reviewed all the material, memorized the game types/boards, but whenever I do a timed section I always seem so miss an extra 3 or 4 questions and end up at -6 or -7 instead of -2 or -3, which is what I'm usually at when I take my time. A lot of my mistakes are just misreading part of the stimulus and then making a faulty assumption off of it. Any tips for keeping a level head?

So I took the LSAT in June for the first time and got a 165, CGPA is 3.76. I'm hoping to go to Boston College or Boston University. I slightly prefer BU, but would be perfectly happy with BC. I didn't plan on retaking because I was above both of BC's medians and not too far below BU's. However, the medians increased, so now BC is 165 instead of 164, and BU is 169 instead of 167. BU's GPA median actually lowered from 3.8 to 3.77 which is good for me, and I'm still above BC's GPA. I was hoping to apply by mid-late October but now am questioning if I should retake the LSAT in November. I think that I would still want to apply before then and tell them not to wait for my score, and then if I get a decision before then and get waitlisted I could send my new score (hopefully it's improved). I haven't studied at all since June but have plenty of clean PTs and I would have about 4 weeks to study. I know it also depends on if I think I can improve and all that, which I do think it's possible but obviously never know. I'd really appreciate any advice!

Hi everyone!

Thank you for how helpful you've all been during this process! So I finished the CC and now I have 45 days till the LSAT. I've gotten my score up a few points (from mid 150s diagnostic to high 150s low 160s now) and I know I won't be able to "maximize" my score since I've only committed a few months, but my goal score is low-mid 160s and my top choices are mid tier state schools that prioritize public interest work. So I was wondering, is 25 practice tests in 45ish days too many? I'd be committing roughly 4-5 hours to each test between the actual exam and review. I've been committing around 8 hours a day to preparation so I feel like it should be reasonable, but I am also very new to intense study and prep testing. I'd appreciate any advice you all could throw my way, thank you so much!

Hey everyone lately I have been scoring -2 on LR ,-1 LG and -7 on RC. Does anyone have tips I could use to help improve my RC score before the October test? I've found difficulty with the Authors Attitude and Analogy questions.

    Hi everyone,

So I have been studying since May of 2020 (yikes), and originally I scored a 132 on my diagnostic and now scoring a 166-167, but I am continuing to get the SAME types of questions wrong in LR; Strengthening and Flaw.

Any tips on how to successfully attack these questions?

I have a tutor but there's only so much one person can do to help.

Also, i have dyslexia, so i tend to read things backwards, so timing becomes an issue with these question types.

I am taking the November LSAT and I can't seem to get my score up on Reading Comprehension. I have improved on everything else but for some reason, Reading Comprehension is getting to me (probably the boring passages) any tips?

    Hey everyone!

I just wanted to brag a little since I'm self-studying and don't really have many people I can tell about this. I just got a 173 on PT 87 (BR 177)! I've been studying really hard and am super happy about my progress. Taking the October LSAT and hoping for a 171+. It's been a super inconsistent journey (I'd constantly backslide into the mid 160s). Just wanted to let everyone out there who may be struggling know that if you keep working at it and stay motivated, you should also be able to achieve your goal scores.

    Confidence is key.

Best of luck to everyone and stay motivated. To all my fellow October LSAT takers, good luck in the home stretch before game day.
