I picked the right answer. But I wanna extract as much as possible from this question.

I noticed a nuance in the question stem "an element of". But how this is different from the ordinary question stem which simply ask what the author's attitude is best expressed?

I feel the correct answer would still be credit nicely even tho the question stem has no "an element of". But, given the sneakiness of the test maker, I believe there is something I missed.

Any insights? Thanks for your time.

Hi Everyone!

The past few weeks, I have gotten into the habit of taking two practice tests a weekend because I work full time, and it's draining to do practice tests after work. I then spend the time in between (weekdays, mostly) completing the BR. This seemed to be working okay until this last weekend where I realized I got way too overconfident on LR and bombed all four sections I took. Do you guys think it's best to take one test and fully complete the BR before taking the next one? Or do you think the way I am doing it now makes sense?

Thanks for your input and for being a great group of supportive people!

Loophole LR

I learned two main things I learned from Loophole that I thought I would share with everyone here.

  • Paraphrase every stimulus do it for a week or two if necessary until you feel comfortable. (summarize stimulus in your own words from memory)
  • What if test. Challenging the conclusion. Do not negate the premise and the conclusion yet find a way to destroy the argument. Do it for every. You will get better at Necessary Assumptions which is opposite of the answer. Also, will help weakness and strengthening types of questions.

Hi, everyone. I love RC, and I would love to help y'all with it. I will be having an RC session on Zoom at 10:30am PST today. Feel free to join me! I will be posting the Zoom links when it gets closer to the time. See you soon!

    Edit: Finished

Hi guys I'm going to take the Janurary LSAT and I have a question about setting requirement in my room. I got many pop star posters on the background wall in my room and I don't know if it's ok to keep them while I take the online LSAT. I currently live in my NYC apartment and there's no other room for me to take the test. Should I take the posters off? (It will be huge work for me to take all 30+ posters down and I really don't want to ruin the decorations because I put lots of effort in it). Thank you very much for help guys!

Hey y'all. I was wondering if it is realistic to hope for a full ride and maybe a housing stipend? I'm looking to go to UCLA or USC, applying as an URM with a 3.9 GPA and 177 LSAT. I couldn't apply for any of their ED scholarship programs, is that the only way those are given out or is there still a chance for me? Thank you in advance!

    Hi everyone,

Im currently scoring -15 on RC and -9 on LR but -2 on games and I really feel lost becuase when I read RC I feel confident in my answer choices but im still ending up with low scores. On my first diagnostic and 2 PT's I was at -10 but now im -15 and -16 which is not where I want to be. Im looking to be in the -5 to 8 and LR - 5 to 8. If anyone has been in similar situation and can help me out id greatly appreciate it. Going a bit crazy

    Advice for Jan LSAT

    Hi everyone,

I need some advice on the upcoming Jan LSAT. I constantly read stories on here of people scoring 170+ and I feel like such a failure because I am barely scoring within the 160's. I started off with a diagnostic of 145 and have improved a bit since then but my scores fluctuate between a 154-160. (This is very embarrassing to even admit on here). Im only missing 1-2 questions on my logic games, but I am having a hard time with LR and RC. I think the best chance of me getting my score up would probably be to focus on LR because its the most learnable. I dont want to burn myself out by the day I actually take my exam, but does anyone have any tips that I could use to get my LR score up? I don't know if its lawgic I should focus on or what, because I really am just missing a wide range of LR questions. Any advice would be super helpful and much appreciated. (Its probably important to note I struggle a lot with timing. I have bad test anxiety)

Before I started any courses, I took a diagnostic and got a 154. I got powerscore, studied for two weeks, and got a 166. I was thrilled! If I went up 12 points in two weeks, surely I’d be scoring mid-170s and have my pick of schools - next stop Yale!

Months later reality has set in. I’ve finished powerscore, moved on to 7sage, but keep scoring low to mid 160s on PTs. Has anyone dealt with something like this? And if so, how did you break through to the next level?

    Thank you so much.

Heyo! Looking for a group of 2-3 people who are interested in forming a study group. I'm in WA, so Pacific Time Zone people who be preferred. The purpose of the group would be to meet once a week, probably on the weekends for about an hour to go over LR questions, LG games, or RC passages that we had trouble with and would benefit from talking it out with someone.

I work FT and my weekdays are pretty busy with work, so Friday nights, Saturdays, & Sundays would be preferred days to meet. I've gone through the CC and am currently drilling practice sets untimed. Goal would be to be as efficient and effective as possible, so an intense small group one hour session would be ideal.

Comment or message me if you're interested!

    Misc Games

While fool-proofing games from PT1-35, have heard JY often say Misc Games from the earlier tests are very rare now - is that still true? I always tend to trip up on those kinds of games. How much should I worry about these keeping recent tests in mind?

    Tutors available?

Hey y'all, is there any high scorer out there who would be willing to hone their teaching skills by tutoring me? I'm defining 'high' as 170.

I'm having trouble figuring out what AC B from PT90 S4 Q11 is saying. I watched JY's explanation so I now know what it means to say, but I'm not sure how I would have figured this out on my own? Usually punctuation marks would be on my side to help parse it out, but I find it peculiar that there weren't any because I really think this sentence could be read two ways?

    The original AC says:

"Infants who consume cow’s milk that has not been boiled frequently contract potentially fatal gastrointestinal infections"

  • The way I read it was: Infants who [consume cow’s milk that has not been boiled frequently] contract potentially fatal gastrointestinal infections.
  • In this circumstance I'm reading the frequently as referring to the milk
  • OR

  • Infants who [consume cow's milk that has not been boiled] frequently contract potentially fatal gastrointestinal infections
  • In this one however, I'm reading the frequently as referentially phrasing the infants rather than the milk.
  • Let me know if that makes sense and what sort of queues I could look out for to read this sentence right! I just find it difficult because there is no punctuation swaying you either way?

Greetings everyone, just wanted some pointers on an upcoming application. During my last application cycle, I was waitlisted at my #1 school, I sent a letter of continued interest, and ended up not getting admitted. I applied really really late in the admissions cycle which is the main reason as to why I was not admitted (2 weeks before deadline in May). Now for this upcoming cycle I'd like to apply in the next few weeks, I have everything in order (revised PS, resume, letters, etc) but I will be taking the January LSAT in hopes of scoring higher. My current LSAT score is about the 25th percentile at the school. I'd like to apply as soon as possible and just let them know I have a pending LSAT in a few weeks. What should I do? #help
