Could someone explain what I’m not seeing here? While I get why C is right, A is supported as well. The video explanation just ruled it out without offering an explanation.

The question is about what the author will be more like to agree with. A is basically saying that we are unlikely to assemble a jury capable of rendering an impartial decision due to the flaws in voir dire.

The author should agree with this because:

He claims the way the questions are phrased by the judges are problematic

Jurors don’t answer truthfully because they don’t want to participate in jury duty

There are those who overestimate their ignorance of a case.

The entire paragraph is about a judge’ favorite that is flawed-thus making the selection of a jury that will render an impartial decision a daunting task

These are valid reasons to draw such a conclusion-voir dire is flawed in a way that it is unlikely to select a jury that is capable of rendering an impartial decision.

So this is a bizarre question but I'm so serious - how many jackets are you allowed to have within your reach during the exam? I get really cold, and often will wear like two pairs of socks and three jackets inside, but I don't want to end up too hot (stress) or too cold (I have no heat). Is there a rule against...changing jackets?

I was just wondering what things I could use on test date. For example, how many pieces of paper, and what type, if I can consume food/drink, etc.

Also, when it comes to Proctor U, do I just go on the website and the test is available? Basically, is there anything special I need to do before tomorrow for the test?

Thank You

I've been scoring between 157-159 the past few tests, in the hopes of hitting the 160s before my flex on Tuesday.

Just took PT 89, which was probably a mistake lol. Although I could definitely feel that I wasn't into it (ie: tired, wasn't reading as clearly) I got a 151 which is what I scored last February... ouch.

I know this probably isn't indicative of my progress or how things will go next week, just looking for some reassurance I guess. Or thoughts from anyone else who may have experienced something similar.

I had heard 89 was difficult but I didn't think it would be difficult enough to bring me back to where I was a year ago when I joined 7 Sage lol. For the record it was mainly my RC score, but still...scary this close to my test.

I had planned on taking the May Flex as my last PT before my test on Tuesday? Do you guys think that I should? (ie: is it more or less likely that I will get a confidence boost from it lol) Otherwise I will just take the timed sections separately rather than a timed exam.

Side note: how on earth did I get ONE question right on the first arts passage, but FIVE right on the peptides passage???? What even is my life? ?@ 2be2ui

Hi everyone!

I signed up a bit later for my time slot for the Jan LSAT, and I am kicking myself because I have an early morning time slot. I am somewhat worried of my ability to be awake and mentally prepared at that time of the morning, especially considering most of my practice has been during the early and late afternoon each day. There are currently no other additional time slots available for the 16th and 17th.

Do you all know if I am late to my Procter scheduling time, if I am unable to start the exam? I'm obviously going to try my best to be up and ready at the time in the morning, but I wanted to see if you all knew.

Additionally, does anyone have any advice (perhaps, if you've taken an early morning LSAT exam) as to getting mentally prepared at an early hour for such a stressful exam?

Hi All!!

I'm taking the January Flex on Tuesday and with only a few days till test day, I'm second guessing my chances!! My ugpa is 3.95, but I averaged 156 (scared this might be lower on test day) on the last three preptests. Will my higher gpa help make up for my score not being as high as some of my preferred schools' averages? I realize not applying until February also decreases my chances, but what are my chances of getting accepted AND decent scholarships from schools like Michigan State, Wayne State, Richmond, and Villanova? My goal is be to accepted to Wayne State with a really good scholarship!! Is this a far-fetched dream with how late I'm applying??

ALSO, if anyone has school recommendations for me please let me know!! Good luck to everyone taking the Flex this week :)

Last LSAT I took was a nightmare with my proctor. I made sure to tell my proctor that I am home alone, that I left my turned-ff phone in another room, and kindly requested I not get interrupted during the exam. I basically wanted to do what I could to avoid a horror story.

My proctor only chatted with me–I did not think anything of it.

During LG, she couldn't see my chin so she messaged me. I had a flashing box on the lower-right hand corner of my screen and had to click on it to open it. I adjusted my face and continued writing on my scrap paper. A second later I got another flashing and her message was a thank you. Again, I got interrupted and had to X-out of the chat box. At this point I got annoyed but contained myself and continued working. Then I got a smiley face! I shouted, "please stop interrupting me!" I might have been rude but at that point she threw me off focus for silly things and I made sure I was clear at the start to avoid interruptions.

I apologized at the end of the exam but I did not need 'thank you's' and smiley faces during my LSAT.

If I get another proctor who wants to just 'chat', can I request a different proctor? Maybe I am being a bit over but I really do not want to get thrown off my game again. Then again I heard of proctor's that forgot to mute themselves. >.((/p)

Any advice would be appreciated.

My takeaway: Keep your chin up.

I am hoping to submit apps sometime in the next week. I haven't spent a minute thinking about my resume until now because it's relatively inconsequential when compared to other factors. Also, I'm a few years out of college and have switched jobs so I already have one drafted. The problem I am running into with my "law school resume" is that I have what I believe to be relevant experiences from undergrad and I'm not sure how to include them such that it is 1) easy to follow and 2) recent work experience and older college community involvement both shine. Can someone look at my resume and critique my organization (and provide any other general feedback/criticism that you may have)?

Thanks!

My scores in each section have been:

LG: -3

LR: -12 - (-8) (-10 average)

RC: -12 - (-8) (-10 average)

Consistently my performance in LG has been -3, By coincidence, I typically guess 3 questions on each of them. So I have horrible luck at guessing and my error is from lack of speed.

I did notice if I take longer time per question, it's typically at grouping questions, especially grouping w/ repeated items.

I also run out of time at LR and RC, where I guess 3-5 questions in each. I usually get -12 - (-8) (average of -10) in each section, where very rarely my guesses are correct.

I need a score in the 160s to be admitted to the law schools I applied to . This seems within reach if I just solve my lack of time issue, turning my scores in each section to roughly -1, -7, -7, respectively.

With only 5 days left until my LSAT write, what are the best ways to improve?

Wanted to get some opinions on how you all approach MSS questions. I feel like I am getting these wrong often because I am struggling to piece together all the information in such a short period of time (especially on the science ones/things I am not familiar with). How do you all approach these questions to ensure quick reading comprehension? Do you always draw a diagram? Also, any general tips on quick elimination would be helpful.

I am taking the LSAT- Flex next Tuesday. Though I have scored a 165 on PTs, since then I have been scoring dramatically low for my standards (150s). I think this is because of my anxiety and overthinking. I have been approved for accommodations, but my brain still isn't making this easy. In other words, I know I can do well, but am I getting in my own way/ how do I stop that?? Please help :( I am very stressed

I completed all Core Curriculum including and up to "Main Point and Conclusion." When I tried to go back and rewatch the videos from "Main Point and Conclusion," I can no longer access them or even see them in my syllabus. Is it normal that once you complete a section it disappears? Please let me know if you have the same issue or if I am missing something.

I already took the LSAT twice in the past year, once in June (162) and once again in August (164). I was scheduled to take it again In November but decided to post-pone it until January. Admittedly, Master's applications and end-of-term finals got the best of me, so I only started up studying again in January. I am a Canadian school applicant, so my cGPA and B3 is 3.80.

I have already been accepted to a law school, however my dream school has a LSAT 25th percentile of 163, a median lsat of 166 and a 75th percentile of 167, and a GPA 25th percentile of 3.77, median of 3.86, and a 75th percentile of 3.91, which is why I have been considering retaking the LSAT so many times as I do recognize that I am in their lower percentile. However, I do not want to have a third attempt on file without a significant increase (as in 167+) since I have heard this does not look good for this score and would want to save a third and final-ish attempt in the case that I decide to defer going to law school for another year, which would give me more time to study for a third attempt.

I have been pt-ing on average around 164-166 with a consistent average BR of 172-176. Though my two last pt’s were 163 and 159 (May 2020 and PT88 killed me! What was that LR and what was that RC???). Considering the January LSAT is next week for me and today’s the last day to withdraw, do you think it is worth retaking? I don’t want to risk having a lower or similar score as my last attempt.

my BR is showing me that there is a very likely potential to score in the high 160s, low 170s range if I just recognize the support a little better in the allotted time. but obviously I am not sure whether I can reasonably expect myself to suddenly improve that in a couple of days. though I can try, I suppose. this would be my last attempt to improve my score for the 2021 cycle. so that’s why I think an attempt would not be worth it if it’s not at least 3 points higher.

any insight would be much appreciated! Thanks!!
