    DC will always be a long shot from these schools so I would recommend going to UC Davis to get the better chance at California with lower debt. I imagine(though this is not researched) that there should be a fair number of California government legal jobs that could provide the basis for a future lateral to something in DC.

    Yeah, I second what @"Seeking Perfection" said. Also Davis being so close to Sacramento gives you a lot of options for government work. And if you have no desire to work in biglaw, I would highly advise to not take out nearly $200k at pretty much any school.

    Thanks everyone! I was hoping to get out of California for a few years, but the added debt is definitely something to consider.

    I like them both. I hear ND students go to Chicago and New York sometimes for work opportunities.
