Hey 7Sagers, I'm leading BR calls for PT 87 (June 2019 LSAT).
There will be twelve sessions total.
All sessions will be from 9 - 11pm ET. Please see detailed schedule below.
What happens in these sessions?
For RC, we'll read the passage together, paragraph by paragraph. I'll ask you to make low resolution summaries of each paragraph. We'll use those low res summaries to build higher resolution summaries. Then, we'll answer the questions together. For LR, I'll ask you to state which questions were circled for BR. We'll work through the questions the group nominates.
How should I prepare?
Have a clean, unmarked copy of the PT ready in front of you so we can read and answer the questions together. Please wear headphones and try to be in a quiet place.
Please join my meeting from your computer, tablet or smartphone.

Comments
PT87? I really really like these BR sessions but can we perhaps do an earlier PT I was keeping the latest PTs for the last couple of weeks? I know most people are doing the same.
This is great. Thank you!
This is Fantastic! Thank you J.Y.
Thank you J.Y.!
Awesome, thank you!
Will they be recorded and uploaded ?
Thank you very much!! J. Y.!!
BR sessions are not recorded.
I haven’t done one of the BR calls before but I would like to do so. Should I take that portion of the test first, and then circle questions I am not sure of the answer on and would want to blind review before the call?
Thank you JY! For LR, should we solve the questions in advance, or are we doing a timed session together?
@for_since_because Please do the questions yourself first. We'll jump right into BR.
@FindingSage Yes, that's right. Please do the test yourself first. We can BR together.
Thank you for taking your time to BR with us JY. I can't thank you enough
Hi everyone, unfortunately, I'm postponing these calls by two days. I'm getting over a cold. New schedule posted above!
Talk to you guys in a few days!
Feel better!!!
Get better soon, JY!
Do you not cover the logic games during these sessions?
Thanks JY! The first session was great!
Does anyone know when the explanation will be posted under PT87? I only see LG available now, and I know the expiration day is ended soon ( end of August )
JY, very very grateful that you do this, however sometimes I feel as if these aren’t as helpful. I think going in order with answer choices and pointing out quick flaws helps more. Feels like we spend 45 mins on one question. Very grateful for your guidance though!
I think doing a recent PT helps, given that not everyone have access to the explanations to the most recent ones.
@karlamteachout I don't because LG explanations are up already.
@SCLawbae Some of them will be up in the coming weeks, but I can't say for sure when they'll all be ready.
@Snoopy123 Sorry, I didn't set the right expectations. In these BR call, for RC we always spend a big chunk of time upfront on passage analysis. Then we do the questions slowly, addressing all concerns that come up. Answers often turn out to be more subtle than one had originally realized. For LR, we also proceed very slowly spending a lot of time on each question.
For the next call:
Wednesday July 31
9 - 11pm ET
LR Section 2
Questions 16 - 26
We will be looking at only the second half of Section 2, LR. Questions 16 - 26 only.
Thank you! Take care! get some rest!
I hope you get better! Take care!
jy's explanations help a lot and we even go overtime to address everyone's issues
Only two sessions left! Note that the next session will be on Sunday night.
JY are you going to do anymore BR Calls before the September test?
@"tanika.s" No, the next BR calls will be in late October / early November.
okay thank you!
Thank you for organizing these sessions for us! Thank you for using your own free time to help us! They were very helpful! I very appreciate you that you told me where my weakness was; what I should do; where/how I need to improve.... I am so lucky to have this instructor to teach me and also take your CC! Thank you, JY!!!
@Alice003 You're welcome!
Hi everyone, I just posted my own live commentary videos and timing report videos (new) on the Syllabus for both sections of LR. (Will do RC and LG for future PTs.)
https://7sage.com/lesson/preptest-87-s2-lr-timing-report
If you want me to look at your timing report, please send a study buddy request to the student service account (either "studentservice" or "studentservices") . I’ll pick two that I think are instructive and make timing report videos out of them for everyone’s benefit.

Thanks JY! I know this was probably asked before, but can we have a video of you actually doing the test on the tablet? Thank you!
@username_hello You mean like this?

@J.Y. Yes that’s it. Thank you!
