Hi! I've asked about that too and most law school admission counselors that I have spoken to have said that they prefer academic references. You should definitely consider talking to one about your situation though. Good luck!
@austin.brumbaugh it doesn't really matter. A lot of deans and admissions counselors will tell you that it's a good idea to have most of your stuff in but it isn't imperative. February is the scholarship deadline
You can mention that you sent an earlier and that you wanted to follow up to confirm on your interview date. It's not something you should stress out too much over as follow up emails are common, as with admission counselors being busy
