Yes it is possible, I am a little over a month in and have raised my score a solid 10 points. I am going to put in 6 hours a day from here until the Octobertest date and see what happens.
From what I understand (after being on a waitlist for a seat for the Octobertest), you are guaranteed a seat for the November test. The only thing that is not certain is which test center you'll be placed at.

For me the key to a lot of the unusual logic games on the Octobertest was running the numbers. Keeping track of what the various numerical possibilities could be, helped in games 1 and 3 which had pretty vague gameboards in my opinion.
JY, any chance we can talk about a good way to set-up a "shelving game" similar to the one that stumped everyone on the Octobertest? Possibly as a quick aside on Saturday.
