One interesting approach I have heard is to take the PTs outoforder. For example, 51, 61, 71, 52, 62, 72, etc, etc. That will give you exposure to the newer tests and their differences without burning through them.

You can begin from PT 1, but if you're food proofing games by game type then you have to go outoforder. I personally think that fool proofing by game type is better, but doing it by PT can help too.
