I think that you can keep a lot of the elements that you like (good spacing, easy to read) while toning it down a bit to match the standard format. Yourrésumé isn't the place to get fancy in a law school app.
I think it depends! If yourrésumé is well-formatted and tasteful, great! If it's loud, you might want to dial down the design elements so that the content takes precedence.

As far as my knowledge is concerned, only the raw number matters. Admission committees may take your relative ranking into consideration though (especially if you note it on yourrésumé, your undergraduate institution is infamous for rigor, etc).
