Hi! I've done it three times. The first time was last year when lots of people were still doing it remotely, and I had a proctor who didn't mind my messy room. The second time, they took issue with it and had me move to another room which threw me off. For my latest take in August (I speak out loud, so I also test remote still) I made sure to completely empty my room aside from my scratch paper, pencil, and computer. Literally just piled everything outside of my room in a big mess, and the proctors let me start without any issues.
Note that there is a second-camera requirement now too, so make sure that you are able to keep your phone plugged in and charging during the duration of the test. Even with mine plugged in, I went down from 100% to 70% as it drained my battery so bad. Best of luck!
@arjaydeocampo Thanks so much for sharing! Do you know if I would have to download any software or do anything prior to my laptop to testing? I know I had to download guardian and proctorU for the argumentative writing section, and I'm wondering if it's anything similar to that. I'm a bit worried because I did get interrupted once during my exam by a proctor telling me to shift my macbook to an uncomfortable angle (so that they could see me better) and it threw me off a bit.
I do have a very cleared out room currently (besides my bed) and two desks (With cabinets mainly used for storage of old items) and a closed closet, so hopefully that's fine with the proctors. I also ended up buying a phone stand because of the second camera thing and ordered a usb mouse that's silent so I could click faster (rather than using trackpad) and some foam ear plugs (as I noticed clearing out my room has made outside sound feel so much louder).
@ryumi Yes, I believe you have to download ProProctor! There are remote testing instructions that you should receive via email after signing up. It should give you a link to download, and let you run a system check. It even lets you check that the second camera setup works with your phone, which I was glad for. As part of the instructions, make sure to turn off your VPN so that your remote testing location will match what you submit to LSAC!

@arjaydeocampo do you know what would be the protocol if the wifi goes out? I read that we can't use hotspot or anything, and ever since the most recent wifi outage, I am terrified of one happening during my test (in October).
