When my writing sample time was up, I looked over my submission again and realized I freaking left a draft paragraph in there!! There are basically two iterations of a paragraph, but they make slightly different points. I'm irritated with myself for such a small yet confusing mistake (it's not clear which is the one to be deleted). What should I do now? Can I schedule a retake for this? I doubt it but want to ask y'all anyway. I'm planning to retake the LSAT and rewrite the essay, but are both samples going to be sent with my score? Thoughts on how I can rectify? TIA!

Hi everyone,

We are rolling out an update tonight at roughly 9pm PDT, 12am midnight ET that will log everyone out. After the logout, you should be able to login immediately.

Because of the logout, please avoid doing a PrepTest or Problem Set during this time so that your work is not interrupted.

If you are in the middle of a PrepTest or Problem Set at the time of the update, the tester should detect the logout and ask you to refresh the page. However, you may lose your last minute of work.

Sorry for the trouble!

Hey everyone. I'm gearing up to begin studying for my second LSAT and this time around I'm planning on using 7sage. Last summer I took a TestMasters Course, but after speaking to others I believe that 7sage will be a much better resource. I have two concerns about this switch though. One, I'm worried that I might be wasting a lost of time retouching on core curriculum. I certainly need a refresher on the content, but I don't know how much time is worth relearning strategies when I could be PT'ing. Second, I'm unsure of which practice tests I took in the past, and if it's worth retaking them. Let me know if you have any input or similar experiences.

Hi all,

I'm new to 7sage. I've been looking at the section on Blind Review and I can't seem to find an answer to this (in the forum either) but maybe it's just because I haven't yet taken a PT via 7sage, only through the LSAC Lawhub.

With LSAC, once you complete a PT your score and right/wrong answers show up automatically. If you go back through to circle (or in this case "flag") your unsure answers, it will show the correct answer in a box. I gather from the videos that this will bias me towards those answer and will therefore be unhelpful.

When you take PTs via the 7sage interface, is here an extra step between finishing your test and actually revealing all the answers? Is this built in so you can do that blind review step?

Thanks in advance!

Giulia

So, when I Blind Review right now, I BR every single question, even the ones that I don’t flag. I take note of the answers that I change that I didn’t flag, but I just started timed tests and to me it doesn’t make any sense not to do an in-depth analysis of the entire test. I mean, I guess I could go through the step of just flagging every question, but it kind of feels silly to do that just so I can give myself permission to go over the entire test. Plus, I genuinely want to know which questions I had doubts about in the moment and if I flag everything then I probably won’t remember.

I get that the whole point is to test the accuracy of your confidence, but to me at this stage it feels more valuable to be analyzing every question. I figure at some point after I’ve gained enough experience, I’ll stop BRing questions I feel confident in, and that’s where the method of just reviewing flagged questions will kick in.

I’d love to hear other people’s thoughts on this. Am I putting myself at a disadvantage, or does it not matter at this stage? I think there’s stuff to be learned from every question, even from the super easy questions I probably got right. Why not take the opportunity to look at those as well?

SMU or retake LSAT?

I average around a 151 ... got really lucky getting into SMU ... made my tuition deposit ... ... what worries me is the COA ($245 k including undergrads loans) ... don’t know if I can get a better deal by reapplying .... SMU gives out very little money ... all the other Texas schools I saw even A&M gave out little money ....

I feel like this admission cycle was

  • Very competitive compared to previous years
  • Not a lot of full rides w/ stipends were given out
  • I feel like next year will be more competitive... and we will definitely see more people scoring 170+ than this year

I’m seriously trying to practice in the state of Texas ... but don’t know if reapplying to even a NY school here that is free ... would give me any shot at practicing in Texas in the future

If I were to take on that debt at SMU ... the REPAYE payment plan would be an option if I don’t end up making enough for a 10/20 year repayment plan

    Open to all opinions

    ... the pro R&R’s and anti R&R’s

I know that the LSAT will be changing after June and making it a 4 section test with a break in between. Do you think the people taking the 4 sections will have a disadvantage compared to the LSAT Flex? I am wondering whether the break we get in between outweighs the cons of adding another section to the test. What do you think? I want someone to convince me that the 4-sections LSAT is not all that bad!

I am feeling unbelievably low right now and I would appreciate some advice on how to move forward.

I've been using the CC since January 2021, but overall I've been studying full time since September 2020. At the moment, I'm a little over 50% completed with the CC. I have not taken a PT since December (150) so I just took PT 36 to see where I would be scoring.

I scored a 147. I feel so fucking dumb. My LG improved significantly (from -14 to -7), but I am still bombing RC (-14) and LR (-15). I thought with at least completing a little over half of the CC I would have some type of increase in score.

I know I should restrategize how I'm studying because its clearly not efficient. I'm thinking I should continue foolproofing LG and drill LR and RC sets with in depth review instead of doing the CC for it. I've been doing CC in order and have been focusing way too much time strictly on LG. I think I need to force myself to rotate sections.

Any advice and words of encouragement would be greatly appreciated.

I subscribed to 7Sage monthly and have already paid for this last month (I'm about 2 weeks away from the next charge). If I stop my plan now (I took the April LSAT), will I still have access to my account/core curriculum for the rest of the "month"?

Additionally, if I plan to retake the LSAT and need to sign up for the monthly plan again, will my account be retained if I sign up using the same email?

    Timing Anxiety

My PTs typically range 155-157. Per section based on the flex option: LR (-8), RC (-9), and LG (-7). I believe that I have made significant progress in understanding the question types and how to successfully implement strategies. However, this implementation does not go so well when I am actually taking a timed PT. I have a nearly 100% accuracy rate throughout each section but run out of time, thus resulting in many guesses. On average -- on a 3 section test -- it looks like I am having to guess on 15 questions cumulatively. Now, it is important to note that I do not have this timing issue when doing sections alone and not PTs. I think it may have to do with the anxiety associated with taking the full test. On BR, I rarely miss any questions, so it is certainly a timing issue. Is there any advice in overcoming the anxiety aspect of taking PTs and the official exam?

Hey everyone! I was wondering what everybody's opinion was on this question. I actually studied for about 3 weeks in Jan because I thought I was going to take the April LSAT, then had a really long break in between because of school + work and switched to the June LSAT. My diagnostic had a 151, and I am aiming big (175)- I would be a super splitter (3.15) so it's a need for the schools I am going for. I have the LSAT Trainer book, the Powerscore books, and am supplementing Khan Academy (currently doing 1-2 hours a day for the past week or so when I started back up).

Hey everyone, my course just expired. With this in mind, I have a few questions regarding an expired course. The first question is, do I still have access to the course materials/videos other than the prep tests. Does access to the course materials ever expire? Additionally, I would like to know if I need to buy Prep Plus to access the practice tests again. Or, alternatively, do I need to buy the course over again to have access to all the materials. Please answer if you can. Thank you!

Hey all! I'm curious for anyone who would know the best: is it better to do some LR core curriculum sets one day, then some LR sets the next day, then RC sets the next day (etc.), or is it better to just go in chronological order and just do all the LR sets, then the LG, sets, then the RC sets?

I am leaning more towards jumping between sets because I'm worried that by the time I get to the RC section I may have forgotten some of the LR or even LG material.

Thank you in advance to anyone who has any suggestions/advice!
