I am really burning out and it's especially hard for me to get away and do things I enjoy because of quarantine. (Don't mean to sound like a first world snob.. but here we are). Anyways since quarantine, I have tried to go for runs, write, go for walks etc. to have some sort of alternative outlets but it really has not felt the same.

I have been studying on and off for almost a year or more but burnt out TWICE in quarantine. I have also never studied like I have during quarantine so it makes sense. Since I am now unemployed and have no responsibilities, you would think this is a good thing, for studying but it also took away my balance, hobbies, structure...etc

I have reached most of my study goals but have some areas to improve. My plan was to sharpen areas for improvement and simulataneously complete a certain amount of PT's + review them before July's test.

This burn out is causing me even more stress since I may not have time to take all PT's as planned or go over all material.. and I don't want to delay the test.

I am feeling really hopeless and upset that my brain keeps crashing on me and I am not doing a good enough job at having a balance. And I am stressed that this burnout is "wasting my time". and even more stressed of the cycle of burnout repeating itself.

Any tips on how i can pull myself out of this negative place I have sunk into?

TDLR: experiencing a second burnout and it's killing my motivation especially because quarantine has kept me confined..

Thanks for joining my pity party.

Lost my course

Hey, I don't know if this happened to anyone else looking for #help. Was doing my course and then the database crashed and now it says I do not have access to my course. Anyone know what to do?

Hey everyone, I'm just wondering if the digital LSAT more closely resembles the 7Sage format for practice sets/tests or if it resembles LSAC's "prep plus" interface more closely?

I'm taking the June flex and I'd prefer to be PTing on whichever interface is closer to the real thing.

Thanks.

Hi all,

I’ve officially finished the curriculum (the instructional video portion) and have started the next phase of taking PTs and blind reviewing. My score has improved since starting the 7Sage course and learning from the videos, but is not where I want it to be. How much did you all see your score improve once you started taking regularly practice tests and applying what you’ve learned as opposed to when you had only had the instruction and done the practice problem sets?

Hi everyone,

I just made the transition from the curriculum to taking practice test. I have taken two so far: Feb. 1997 and PT36 Dec. 2001. I am aiming to sit for the actual test November 14th of this year, but I want to make sure I am using my time wisely.

Does anyone have a strategy with the practice test? Should I take about 10 or so test from PT36-58 Group then take about 10 from the 59+ group?

I’m open to discussion.

I started the core curriculum April 5th. I am scheduled to finish the lessons around the first week of June, at which point I will have just the practice tests to do. I am taking the August 29 test. I took a practice test 3/4 weeks ago and I got a 161 (my target score is 165/166/167) When should I take my next practice test? How often should I be taking one?

Is there any roadmap to be able to take practice tests on 7sage in an lsat flex format? I've been taking my tests with skipping the 2nd LR section, but the 0 in the 2nd LR section is skewing my analytics page. Would love it it was possible to exempt the 2nd LR section for scoring / analytics purposes.

Hi everyone. I have just started studying the core curriculum. I wanted to ask if we are supposed to be marking the Logical Reasoning questions like JY does during his explanations. Also, can we cross out answer choices? Are these features available on the digital version of the test? Thanks for the help.

Hi guys! I hope you and your loved ones are doing well!

I am in the process of finding a tutor, and I was wondering if those who utilized tutoring services during their LSAT studying could share their experiences (positive or negative).

I have some general questions:

  • How did you go about finding your tutor?
  • What did you look for in a tutor?
  • How often did you meet with them, did you find that effective?
  • What is the typical amount per session (if you don't mind sharing)?
  • How long did you utilize their services?
  • When did you start with a tutor (for reference- I am about to start the LG part of the CC, so still foundational)?
  • Did you see a score improvement, and if so, was it substantial?
  • What are some good things to ask during a consultation, to see if a tutor is the best fit for you?
  • And any other general insight/ advice.
  • Thanks so much in advance!

    Hello,

I am a rising junior and plan to take the LSAT my senior year. I am also extremely new to the world of LSAT so I have basically no idea how to formulate a study plan or how my diagnostic should be viewed (if any help I would obviously like to score 170+).

I took the diagnostic on Khan academy and got a 159 (-4 on first Logic Reasoning, -14 on logic games, -7 on Reading Comprehension, and -5 on last Logic Reasoning) -- not sure if that should be converted to -9 on logic reasoning, -14 on logic games, -7 on reading comprehension.

I recognize that I am begining to study seemingly absurdly early but I have a few reasons for this

1 - an abudance of time this summer for obvious reasons

2 - not sure I can devote much time during the academic year.

With all of this said, what should my long-term study guide be. I have no ideas what I am doing right now or how to generally go about this, so any and all feedback is much appreciated!

(Also sorry if these types of questions are redundant or are not welcome here)

    Thanks!

    Hi,

For LSAT Flex takers, does anyone know if you are allowed to have Advil or Ibuprofen on your desk? Not a whole can but just one pill in case of headache etc. I can't find anything about medications on either the list of allowed items or the list of prohibited items.

    Thank you!!

TLDR: Can 7sage please create 3 Section LSAT Prep Tests for students who are currently now prepping for the LSAT-Flex?

Since the format of the new exam is different in that we do 3 back-to-back sections, rather than 2 sections, break, 2 sections, I am sure many of us are trying to adjust our practice test setup to mimic actual testing conditions.

Currently, our options to do so are either to

  • create our own problem sets out of prep test sections, which means we don't get score conversions and data about our performance doesn't show up in the analytics tool, or
  • we take a 4-section LSAT and skip the 2nd Logical Reasoning, which means that in the analytics tool our scores are WAY lower because we get 0/26 on one section.
  • 3 Section LSATs would be really, really helpful. Thank you!

So i am taking the lsat in june, and am right now getting perfect on the games and roughly -3-5 on Logical Reasoning. I just started studying reading comprehension now and did 4 sections in the last 4 days, every section i got -6-7 on. Is there any legit advice to get this into the -2-4 range before June? Just a lot of repetition and doing a reading comp section everyday? Any advice would be greatly appreciated!!

I put in a twelve week window with 20 hours and it reverts back to 68.44 hours per week. That's mind-boggling. I can't study for that long every week, I have a job. How can you make it so gives you a twelve week plan @ 20 hours per week? If someone could guide me that would be great. I want to upgrade to the Ultimate+ version but this is holding me back. If that doesn't work could someone email me a screenshot of their 12week 20hour plan? Thanks.

    Hi everyone,

Sorry for the heavy topic while most of you are stressed, but if anyone has advice for me, I would appreciate it. If you feel uncomfortable with mental health, I would stop reading here :) Thank you for clicking on the post anyways.

I have struggled with depression for a few years. A couple of weeks before COVID, I discovered a study routine that works for me (for university and LSAT) after months of figuring things out. Then, the pandemic hit and I was confined to a tiny apartment with my family. I am having such a hard time focusing, let alone motivating myself to study. I don't even have my own desk here (I used to live in a dorm). Who knew not being able to go to a cafe or library would be this devastating?? Plus, I'm always tired and I just feel... burnt out. The last two weeks have consisted of me playing Stardew Valley while internally stressing about the LSAT, telling myself that I was just giving myself a break. This week, the pressure hit hard and I have tried to study, but I just... don't want to?

I took the LSAT last year and did miserably because my mental health was not great and I did not study much. However, this year, I WAS motivated and now... I'm just not. I'm signed for the July test, but honestly, I just feel so unprepared (hitting high 150s, when my goal is 165+) and the stress is getting to me. I feel like I can't even explain to my parents that I want to reschedule because I "used my depression card" last year to explain my score and I feel like I can't use the same "excuse" this time because they'll think I haven't learned from my past mistakes. So, I know some people will say to reschedule, but that's just not an option for me.

I know COVID is impacting a lot of people right now, with some losing their jobs and family members... it's hard on anyone. So if you are struggling, I feel for you.

Any tips, even if you don't struggle with depression, with motivation, concentrating, etc. would be appreciated.

Hope everyone stays healthy and happy.

Thanks for reading this long post :)
