I'm taking the August test on August 31st, so one week from now. I have been PTing multiple times a week for almost two months. I have beaten the score I want, but have also had some duds underneath it.

Only issue is right now I am so burnt. I never wanna see LSAT stuff again. I don't know if I should take a break or push through and keep studying. I feel like taking a break is not good right now, but believe me that I am so tired of doing LSAT stuff every day.

Is it good to take a break so close to the test?

Hi everyone,

So I just took PT 70 and scored a PB of 158- which is above my target score. I've taken 10 PTs now and generally average in the mid 150s.

I am torn on whether to take a couple more or to just thoroughly BR PT 70 and do full sections until my test on September 2nd. My reasoning for not taking more is that I am kind of riding a high right now, and I'm worried if I take another and perform worse that that could seriously hinder my confidence going into the exam.

On the other side, I've only taken a few of the newer PTs...

I'd appreciate any advice!

Probably something odd to be concerned about...but can we go to the bathroom during LSAT flex? I have a GI condition and I need to go when I need to go. So since we don’t get any breaks, Does anyone know how that is going to work?

Hi! I do significantly better on timed full sections and drills than I do on full exam LR. I really feel like I choke under the pressure and find myself second-guessing questions which I should not be. Does anyone have advice for dealing with the pressure of a full exam?

Hey so I realize your courses are not finalized and this is why they are not availible. However, I'm sure that many of us, myself included, would like to purchase access to get a head start on our courses. I wouldn't mind paying upfront for what's been currently completed even if its not 100% complete.

let us know if this is viable. Thank you for making taking the LSAT & law school supplements so accessible and affordable.

Hello,

I am looking for a study buddy who lives within 1-2 hours of my time zone. I am MT and live in Denver. I am looking for a study buddy who would like to go through PT's with me where we would go over our answers and discuss why an answer choice is right or wrong. Furthermore, keep one another accountable. I am currently signed up for the August and October exam. Will be possibly signing up for November as well in case these exams do not go well. I score between 160-165 on PT's and would like to consistently reach 165 and over. On LG I am scoring between 0 and -2. LR I struggle with anywhere from -5 to -10. RC -5 to -10.

Please message me if you are interested in being my study buddy.

Thank you!

LSAT Flex Scores Lower

I've recently began simulating the LSAT Flex during my practice tests and have noticed that my scores are quite a bit lower than my regular practice test scores. Is there a reason why this might be?

Hi all (especially those who've taken the LSAT already):

I find myself really relying on the highlighter tool in the 7Sage interface during RC. I tried w/o highlighting and it just seemed a lot harder. Is there a similar functionality in the actual LSAT interface? Or will I have to get used to not being able to highlight?

I am planning on taking the LSAT in April and/or June of 2021. My goal is to complete the core curriculum by December and then spend the months leading up to the test brushing up on skills and drilling a Practice Tests. Is this a realistic time frame? My ultimate goal is to get at the very least a 160 but willing to put in all the work I need to get a 165-170. I started this course on August 10, but started reading the PowerScore Bibles over quarantine in April, May, and June.

Any advice would be much appreciated. Good luck everyone!

This is a bit of a personal question but I wonder if anyone has any thoughts or has been in a similar situation.

My cold diagnostic LSAT test written end of May was 148 –my strongest to weakest sections were RC, LR, LG respectively. My goal score is anywhere in the low 160s. I have been studying with 7Sage since then and am about 80% through the course (just finishing LG but in need of some serious fool proofing time even after I finish). I have not done any timed section practices, or PTs as I was waiting until I was done with the CC.

I signed up for the August-Flex but now am reconsidering, as I really don't feel ready to write yet (not having finished the CC and haven't taken a PT since my diagnostic). I am wondering if I should:

  • Take the August-Flex anyways just to see how it goes and then if it goes poorly (under 160), register for the November test.
  • Request a coupon (which you can still do until August 21st), and re-schedule my test for November (I don't think I would reschedule for October as its only a month from the August date and if I'm rescheduling I may as well give myself a little extra time - I'm also doing full-time remote school in the fall and preparing my Law schools apps DUE in November).
  • Maybe I should take a day before the 21st to write a PT and see how I score to help make this decision? I had friends last summer who only took a month to three months for the LSAT and scored well enough for me, its making me feel like I should write it to get it over with? Or should I be patient and wait until I feel more ready? If I reschedule to November it could not be a flex anymore and no score preview but not sure if that is worth it?

Not sure if anyone's been in this situation. I feel like the 7Sage community is so helpful so it couldn't hurt to reach out.

    Thank you for any thoughts!!

We will now allow test takers to use a regular or mechanical pencil, or a pen, while taking the LSAT-Flex. You will still need to show your writing utensil(s) to the proctor during the check-in period.

In addition, test takers may use soft, non-electronic, non-corded/banded, generic foam ear plugs, which will need to be shown to and approved by your LSAT-Flex proctor.

    I like it!!

I just took my first prep test (Jun 1991). I scored a 162 before BR and a 171 after BR (did well in LG and did the worst in CR). I am aiming to break 170 in October, but am not sure what tests to focus on now. Should I take 1-35 in the drill material? Or skip to PT 36 and continue on from there?

I am planning on taking one almost every day until September 7. After that, I will at least take 3-4 a week until the test.

    Any advice would really help!!!

    LSAT writing

So, I just did the LSAT writing. I used up all of the time just for review of what I wrote. I did not click submit or anything. However, it took me to another page that lets me see what I wrote with some extra information at the top that says I've submitted. But, no confirmation email yet. Am I slowly floating up poop creek or am I safe? I would like to think that the program is not that inept, but I would not be surprised because it is LSAC that we are all dealing with. Lots of horror stories.

Today I PT'ed a 172... something I thought I would never ever see. My diagnostic was a 157. I'm taking the August LSAT and this really gives me hope that I can actually do this and that Prep Test 63 wasn't an abnormally easy one... fingers crossed!! I am so happy

I am registered for the August 30th LSAT FLEX, but I'm not quite where I want to be and want to withdraw from the exam. However, it says I can't withdraw from the exam so I am considering just not taking it and it being marked as an "absence." Would this mean that I would lose my option to use the first-time score report cancel option on the October LSAT? #help.

Hey quick question guys, I took my first prep test and it says 163 average score. I am asking because i have never gotten over 153 in the past so how is this graded and is this representative of your actual lsat score?

Are there any major differences between the format of the exam we will take on test day versus the Prep Tests done on the 7sage website? For example, will test takers be able to grey out answer choices the same way we can on the 7sage PTs? Also, will test takers be able to view question numbers at the bottom of the screen, seeing which ones are unanswered or starred?

I don't know if I'm going insane, but I would love some help.

I have the LSAC 10 official preptest books. I'm scoring WAY higher (10 points) using the books than I am on the Kahn academy online tests....

My best guess is on the physical book, I can cross out answers I know are wrong & I can't do that online. Maybe I'm getting the correct letter confused because I can't remove it from my view.

Does any one else have this issue?

Hey everybody! So I planned on taking the writing section last Saturday so I booted up the writing simulation to familiarize myself with the program. When I got to the ID verification section, I couldn't get a clear picture of my ID on my webcam after trying to do so for half an hour. Since I didn't want to risk getting my writing sample canceled on the real writing test due to my ID being blurry, I waited until today to call LSAC's technical support line.

The representative told me to get a new webcam if I wanted to take the writing section which shocked me a bit as I was hoping they would have alternatives for issues like this. I asked if I could talk to a supervisor to see if I could escalate this issue but he told me that he will forward my request and told me to wait for a call back.

Has anyone encountered a problem similar to this? Will I have to just bite the bullet and spend money on a better webcam?

    September 2nd Flex Exam

    Dear 7Sagers,

I hope to keep this very brief. I took the July LSAT Flex and received a 150, however I was only able to successfully complete two of the games during the exam. I seem to truly struggle with finishing logic games in the time allowed. I have the August LSAT flex on September 2nd, my goal score is 155+. My highest PT was a 161, I would say I'm average in LR and RC, during LR I usually complete most if not all the questions rather confidently then realize there's a fine line between the correct answer and the wrong one that I chose. Where should I direct my studies before my exam, would completing all 4 games successfully help me achieve my score. Are there any tips in developing consistency? I do devote time to studying but I feel like there is no gradual improvement and with my test coming up in nine days I am truly starting to feel burnt out and under pressure. I understand the scores above may not be as high as people usually hope to achieve but understanding my needs and my realistic expectations this is what I am trying to accomplish.

Thank you all in advance and best of luck to everyone.
