For those of you who have taken the LSAT and joined the coveted 170+ club, I have a few questions:
1) What was your initial diagnostic?
2) What was your PT average the week before the LSAT?
3) What did you do your last week?
What logic game is the most common ? Which type if any should one focus on the most?
For those of you who have sat for an official LSAT already, what was the biggest difference between actual game day and practice PTs?
I currently have the Starter package but at some point would like to upgrade to the Ultimate.
But, to get as much time as possible, I don't want to do the upgrade until I need to.
Does anyone know at what stage I should upgrade? IE - I have built a study schedule under the Starter package. If I was to build one under the Ultimate, is there a certain point at which that content comes into play? I don't want to upgrade now if I won't be encountering any of the Ultimate content for a while.
Any guidance appreciated. Thanks!
Hello,
I have what I feel is a silly question. I'm about a month into my 7Sage course; I'm on the Logic curriculum and I finished MSS questions last night. I'm prepping for a retake, so I know MSS questions have been a problem in the past. One thing I love about 7Sage is they get straight to the point. Thanks to the simplicity, I'm more accurate on MSS questions than I was. However, I'm not where I want to be in terms of accuracy or timing. And I feel like a similar pattern will emerge with other question types as I move along. I need more problem sets and drills. I have the premium course but I am planning on upgrading to Ultimate today. I have PTs 36-74. But to get more drills I've either got to delve into more PTs or the Cambridge packets. I've learned that is cheaper to purchase the books with the sets of PTs from LSAC/Amazon than it is get a Cambridge bundle for all LR question types. I guess what I am getting at is what are the benefits of question type training? Are there any other benefits to using Cambridge? I could probably to a certain extent classify the questions myself if I went with the PTs but I'm worried of the daunting task that would be. Any other advice would be greatly appreciated.
I currently have every available PT book from LSAC, but am able to return them if I need to.
If I upgrade to the 'Ultimate' package, is there any need for these PT books, or does that package contain the same tests? If the PT books contain tests that the Ultimate package doesn't I'll keep them - but there's no point in me doubling up!
Thanks in advance,
J.
Does 7Sage or anyone taking the course keep track of the hardest logic games that have ever appeared on the LSAT? It would be helpful to focus on this these games. Presumably if you can understand these games, then all the other ones would be easier.
I've noticed that working on the problem sets at the end of each section is very time consuming. 15 mins for each problem set is fine but 15 mins to review the answers is not okay lol. & after blind review that may take an additional 30 mins.-1 hr. and reviewing the videos for each problem set takes way over 15 mins. Am I the only one that has noticed this? I feel like I'm 10 hours behind on the the core curriculum :( because of the additional time devoted to BR & trying to watch every video explanation.
I see in the items you're allowed to bring, that a highlighter is included. I wasn't aware you could use one. Anyone can clarify?
Thanks
I have a couple of questions regarding the generic study schedule provided by 7Sage. When I first started the curriculum, it went without a hitch. As I have moved through, I am getting more and more behind. I just arrived at the first block of logic games and fool proofing everything has really bogged me down. I'm understanding the games after going through the method, but it seems to be taking forever. Has anyone else ever bogged down on one section or gotten really behind? If so, how did you deal with it? Did you strive to catch up, move your test up, or what? I have found that it is nearly impossible to carve out the required amount of time to stay up with the schedule. Also, this brings up another question. I know the importance of going in order of the syllabus. However, I've been working LG exclusively for about a week. When things get bogged down, I find myself losing sight of the principles that I learned in previous sections when it had been a while since touching on them. How do others using the site deal with this? Should I be hitting LG, LR, and RC everyday, or a few days between them or what? It is important to note that I am planning on taking the December 2015 test and I've been attempting to study while working 40-50 hours a week. Been at the program since early December. Thanks for any input I might receive.
I keep reading posts where people say "figure out what type of logic game question is giving you difficulty and practice on that." But I can't figure out a particular question type I'm having difficulties with. I have improved a lot in logic games (it's my favorite lsat section) but it's usually the last question that gives me a really hard time. I feel like lsat writers have designed the last question to be the most time consuming... does anyone have a technique for the last logic game question? Should I put it aside and do other games first then come back to the last question on each game?
Hi everyone,
I need your advice. I am going to take Feb LSAT. About a month ago, my scores on PTs were 158-162. However, I took 3 PTs in last 2 weeks and got about 150. I am getting lower scores on all sections. All of a sudden just before the Feb LSAT, getting lower score is very frustrating for me. Any advice will be greatly appreciated.
JY or other admin personnel in charge please help me here.
JY mentioned in the training video that we have to practice logic game on the real-test-like sheets in order to train ourselves to write small and fast.
However, the logic game question sets I downloaded from this class all have spacious room to write on compared to 2007 PT ( the only PT I took so far). Shall I not practice with so much room on the paper?

I've been having trouble writing the logic out for this. I don't know why I can't make it come together. Can someone help me out?
How does that translate into the logic argument form?
never mind
Hey 7Sagers! One of our users is having a bit of trouble with this game and I thought you could help me out! Here's the game:

And here's the discussion:
7Sager: (Posted over a year ago) J.Y, When I wrote the rule that “If males are assigned to Veblen South, then Wisteria North is assigned males”, I rewrote the contrapositive as “If Wisteria North isn’t assigned males as in if they are assigned females, then Veblen South is not assigned males, as in they are assigned females.” This got me in a lot of trouble with question 5. I have never heard of conditionals being irrelevant. How can you tell, especially from this game?
J.Y.: (Posted over a year ago) Vs M –> Wn M contraposes to Wn F –> Vs F
How did that get you into trouble? It’s the correct contrapositive.
Different 7Sager: (Posted 2 days ago) because it forces F into Wn so for question five Ws is an M thereby making answer choice D incorrect. in fact none of the other answer choices actually work either as far as i can see. i would really like this answered as well please! i have been struggling with it forever!!! ARGH
Reading Comprehension is one of my worst sections (-7 to -9 wrong all the time per 35 minute section).
I really wanted to put in some work (before October 2015 exam). I have purchased the LSAT Trainer, as I've heard some really great things about it. I'm also going to be purchasing some Cambridge packages to drill later on. I've also..... taken up reading a variety of books so that I can enhance my reading ability.
In terms of practice, because I've already been through this once already, should I be focusing on timing? I really want to focus on effectiveness of my method. I know I should be looking at the structure and not the content. Marking MP, Author's opinion, Opposing Opinion, Background, ect. Should I focus, at least on the first sections, on really attempting to identify structure, and then introduce the timing later on?
Advice would be appreciated! :) Thanks.
Hey guys! For those taking the test in February, we have 2 WEEKS LEFT! How do you guys feel? And how are you planning on studying until D-DAY?
If Feb LSAT is undisclosed, how is it that the test creators know their questions are not flawed? Should I be troubled by this? lol
Hey everyone,
I'm studying for the June 2015 LSAT and wanted to know if there was anyone out there willing to study with me? I am located in Northern Maryland! Thanks.
Is anyone else having any problem with using the note function?
I've been taking notes on the note section at the bottom fine until today. But it doesn't show the cursor on it and still doesn't work even after I refreshed the page and restarted my laptop.
Help?
Is it normal to take 9-12 minutes on a passage that has 7-8 questions? This time is also spent annotating, underlining, and etc. I usually only get 1 wrong though, which I guess is a good thing? I'm not sure if I should pick it up more or stay around this range.
I have completed about 10 PTs and during my blind review I've noticed that 90% of my wrong answers come from making the same silly mistakes or misreading something. I've tried drilling and reviewing the course material. Any one else work through this? How did you power through? How do I confirm I really "got it" and won't repeat that mistake again?
Hi! I wanted to get a feel of everyone's study schedule for the last 2 weeks before the test (especially the full time working people). How many PTs? etc.
