I practiced a lot of LG questions and I got a huge improvement on it. However, my timing is terrible.

Hi all - I'm in about month 8 of studying with various breaks and hiatuses along the way. My last section to master is Reading Comp. I can go anywhere from a -1 to a -9, but it's very dependent on timing. How have you all mastered timing for the reading comp section and balanced that with accuracy? It takes me 3-4 minutes to get through the passage. It would be great if I could get through in 2-3 minutes, but even if I tell myself that's my goal it usually doesn't happen and I end up running out of time on the last passage. Any tips would be helpful and thank you in advance!

Does anyone happen to have a list of LR questions that include conditional logic flaw in the stimulus? I'm trying to get better with recognizing when the main flaw has to do with conditional logic. I ran into question 18 from section 3 of PT 31, and the stimulus includes conditional logic. I was able to make a conditional logic chain and I was forcing myself to look for a flaw in the conditional logic. It turned out that the flaw had nothing to do with conditional logic. Instead the flaw in the stimulus dealt with a part to whole error. This isn't the first time that I try to force the conditional logic flaw, so I'm planning on drilling this weakness. However, I would greatly appreciate having a list of questions with conditional flaw. Thanks in advance!

I need help with trying to answer the questions that ask something along the lines of "Which of following could substitute the condition (insert rule here)"? I don't know how to approach these at all.

I was wondering if you could share your tips on getting better at RC. I used to have consistent -6 and started moving downwards to -10 and now scored -14 on PT 65. I was pretty confident with reading when I started LSAT but now I am a bit short on time and really concerned about getting more than half of the questions wrong.

I do timed PT then read all the passages again during BR to come up with a better LR, HR. And clearly it seems like it's not working and I'd greatly appreciate any help. :)

This question took me a while to understand why A was not the answer. Anson concludes that Dr. Ladlow isn't a responsible psychologist. The question stem asks: "Anson bases his conclusion about Dr. Ladlow based on which of the following?"

A ) If anything, the attack on his character would be the conclusion, not the support for the conclusion. Furthermore, from what I understand a personal attack would be more along the lines of: "Dr. Ladlow smokes cigarettes; we shouldn't believe anything he says"; not a professional criticism.

B ) Is correct because it takes the general principle within the stimulus of that responsible psychologists need to consider the potential of evidence that could refute their own findings, which Dr. Ladlow fails to do. Thus by failing to adhere to a general principle, Anson states that Dr. Ladlow's incorrect.

C ) There's no ambiguous term within this stimulus.

D ) Anson doesn't dispute Dr. Ladlow's facts (i.e. that the Dr.'s theory about rats isn't correct, its just that Anson adds to the notion that he must also consider the possibly that it might NOT be correct)

E ) Anson doesn't reject the Dr.'s theoretical explanation.

I'm pretty strong in LR and RC but could use some fine-tuning.

My highest score on a PT was 174, but I've only crossed the 170 barrier once thus far. My average score is a 162.4.

I've found that the games I struggle with most consistently involve conditional logic. I don't have any trouble understanding the logical relations themselves, but the complexity of the rules gets me very confused. For example, when a rule says something like, if A is before B, then C is before D. Does anyone have any advice on how to approach these games?

I dont know how to get faster. I've been doing RC practice for so long and I cant get faster. I easily do LG and LR on time but not RC, any tips on how to get faster that you did that worked for you? Skipping words made me do worse.

I was reviewing JY's video about approaching parallel flaw reasoning questions in the core curriculum. My favorite commenter @"Accounts Playable" made a comment that I thought would be interesting to answer and/or discuss here.

For parallel reasoning questions, sometimes the stem says that their is a flaw in the argument while others don’t. For the ones that do, obviously there is a flaw. For the ones that don’t is this evidence that the argument is valid? Or could these have flaws as well?

If my understanding is correct, a question stem that asks us to identity the parallel reasoning does not have a flawed argument in the stimulus whereas a question stem that asks us to identify the parallel flaw reasoning does have a flawed argument in the stimulus.

I am taking the Jan LSAT and scoring well on LG and LR but RC keeps dragging me down. What is the best way to boost my RC score with just over two weeks until test day?

Does anyone consistently approach weakening questions like RRE and see consistent results?

I just took PT 85 S3 and on Q24 JY shows how to resolve the question using an RRE method. I see exactly why this question is right now and have a great understanding for RRE questions (it's my favourite question type as I can often get them right even if I have no idea what's going on lol).

So I was wondering if it might be good to leverage my strengths and try it out , but thought I would ask to see if anyone else does this. :)

Hi, I'm new to studying so I'm having trouble with making an inference. The stimulus states that "none of the responses among terminal cancer patients to various therapeutic measures has been more positive than the response among those who consumed shark cartilage". The powerscore bible states that we can infer "(consuming) shark cartilage has received a more positive response than any other therapy". First, how would we diagram this or is it even diagrammable? Second, what fundamental is this testing? Is it logical opposites? Thanks in advance and happy new year!

Can anyone explain to me why E is the correct answer? The stimulus does not even mention 1980, and it does not explain how locating sharks equates to there being more of them. Please help, thanks!

I've been really trying to study LG for the Jan LSAT. The problem I'm having is that I understand the rules but I diagram the rules/inferences different then JY, thus I get questions wrong or questions take me forever to do. For example on Preptest 5 Game, I wrote the classes down and distributed the grades. While JY in his video did the opposite. If I use JY's diagram, every question goes by extremely fast. How can I get better at diagramming games that I am seeing for the very first time?

During my blind-review sections or untimed sections I average -3, yet on timed sections I average -7/-8 which on a bad day can be -10. I don't understand how to close the gap. I've read Loophole and am trying to find patterns but sometimes the questions just throw me for a loop or have subtle distinctions from the right answer choice. Any successful methods of closing this gap and improving speed?

Taking the flex in 2 weeks, and LR is crushing me. I do sections and get around a -8, then in BR I check my flagged questions and usually end up at a -5 (my goal). Whenever I look over the questions I think "of course the answer isn't this" and end up picking the correct answer. I guess my issue is the time and pressure, but how do I overcome this? Any tips would be appreciated!

help This might be a dumb question.

I get the correct answer (emphasize the degree of unpredictability in S and O model) However, I was hesitant to pick it because I somehow interpreted it to mean that the model itself is unpredictable, not that the ideas in the model are unpredictable. I think it's because I interpreted it to mention degree of unpredictability of the model not in the model. Is there a difference in these 2? How do I differentiate whether they are discusses the model itself or elements of it.
