Can anyone explain why E is the correct answer?
Admin Note: Edited title. Please use the format: "PT#.S#.Q# - brief description of the question."
Working through the core curriculum and wondering if the problem sets use questions past PT 35. For some reason, the newer listed PT's in the 'practice' tab show me that I've already used up a few questions from each, even though I haven't done any prep tests yet. Could this be because of the problem sets or drills?
I want to keep the prep tests after 35 fresh and was wondering if there's a way to make sure I don't use questions from the newer test while doing problem sets/drills. Thanks
Hey! I need help (like really badly) on the whole grouping games concept of when a rule triggers/fails. I know in the lessons it says: rule only triggers when the sufficient is satisfied or the necessary is negated. On the other hand, rule fails when the sufficient fails or the necessary is satisfied. I am in desperate need of more information/explanation/a deeper dive on this. If any one knows what lessons in specific I should visit. PLEASE let me know. Anything would help!!!!!!
How can I see the explanation video for a drill question I got wrong?
Hello everyone,
I've been tackling LG for some time now, and it seems that practice is paying off. However, in/out LG games still seem to tank my score when I am doing PTs. Therefore, I've been trying to target in/out games specifically, showing me what I may not be fundamentally understanding.
My main problem with in/out is S/N rules, mainly, when do conditional relationships trigger. I will attach two links to help explain my issue.
https://classic.7sage.com/lsat_explanations/lsat-93-section-4-game-3/ (PT 93 S4 G3)
https://classic.7sage.com/lsat_explanations/lsat-61-section-3-game-1/ (PT61 S3 G1)
For example, in PT 93, JY explains that the first rule of the game is based on a conditional relationship. Though the presence of H or G (or both) being in means F is also in, it is suggested that F can be in by itself, meaning one (or both) of H and G can be out. Okay, that makes sense. That is the contrapositive of the rule. From now on, when faced with an in/out game, I will look at the relationship with even more skepticism.
However, this same skepticism created even more doubt when I would drill with other in/out games. In PT 61, I tried applying the same rules of conditional relationship to Q1. Normally, this question would have been easy, but since I was trying to gauge the relationship between rule #3, it came down to choosing either A or C. I picked C, despite knowing A would have been my usual answer. Of course, that was the only question I got wrong, because I didn't know how to apply the conditional relationship.
So far my intuition is telling me that such a conditional relationship similar to PT 93 is only when there is an "if"->"then" clause. I hope someone could let me know if that is the appropriate method of thinking when approaching conditional relationship, and if there are other methods to better clarify?
Approximately 9:40 into the video, J.Y. says that a game piece that is the sufficient condition cannot be the item that goes twice because it would set up the necessary condition twice, which cannot occur in the context of the game.
I am confused why G or J can’t be in paired in the last group and cannot be the item that goes twice.
I recall in another lesson J.Y. saying in logic games where items can be used more than once, if an item is already triggered and satisfied, then that item can be used and isn’t constrained by it’s conditional relationship.
Does this sounds familiar to anyone or am I confused?
Hi guys! I have done a lot of research but I wanted to make sure what I am doing regarding the writing sample is okay!
I am signed up for the LSAT next week (pray for me). I know the writing sample opened already, but I want to focus on studying for the test and wait to worry about the writing section until after. I know not completing the writing sample ASAP may release your score later (but in my particular situation I am not in any rush to get my score back). SO, is it okay to start studying for the writing sample, and then take the writing sample a week or two after my actual test? I am just a bit confused if there is an actual deadline for completing the sample. Does anyone know any information about this? Thanks so much!

I'm feeling a major loss of confidence right now. I completed the LR curriculum with 7 Sage, and I'm consistently scoring -5/-6 on Logical Reasoning. I seem to not be able to get to the last 5 questions every time. What would you suggest I do next?
After filing a complaint, I was presented with an option to retest this weekend. I was wondering if the score release date is different for people who retest than those who took the original exam at the start of the month?
On the LSAT, there can be 4 logic games. There are 4 general categories of logic games: Sequencing, Grouping, In-Out, and Miscellaneous.
Is it safe to assume there will be one game from each of these categories on the LSAT? Or could it be the case that you might have 2 sequencing games, 1 Grouping, 1 In-Out, 0 misc.? or something like that
PrepTest February 1997 - Section 1 - Question 17 -- why is there no video explanation ???
I was between D and E, and ended up choosing E. I can see why D is correct, but why is E wrong? I thought "directive" used in this context could be used as compelling the society to unite whereas "guiding" seemed a bit weak in comparison.
Can someone elaborate on this please?
Is this a good tactic to try? Has anyone found this to make a difference?
If I'm running out of time, and I have some Main Conclusions questions, is it wise to just find the MC, and then to stop reading the stimulus immediately, so that I can find the answer, or is it a better idea to at least skim the rest of the stimulus and then look for the right answer? I do the former, but something about that feels wrong, like if I just only read until the MC, I'm missing something.
Hi!
I've consistently been noticing that when I get near the end of an LR section I miss the last 5-6 questions. I'm not sure how to improve from here. Is anyone else having this issue? It may be because of the difficulty of the last few questions because I struggle with them even when I go back to review. Does anyone have any advice on how to approach the last few question in an LR section?
I got this question wrong on the first try and on the blind review by choosing C.
After a closer look, I understand why E is the correct answer. For those that selected E on the first try, can you help me understand why you eliminated C?

Hi all I'm searching specifically for some astronomy or geology related RC, does anyone know where I can filter RC by topics?
I need a detailed explanation. thank you

If I write my writing section after I take the LSAT next week will that delay me getting my scores back the day they says scores are released? (August 30th)? I need to see my score to see if I will be retaking in October and August 30th is the last day to register for October? I am trying to prioritize my studying this week and not focus on the writing.

Most of the claims I see have only 1 concept, not 2 main ideas/events. So, when it comes to "Step 2) Identify the two main concepts (or groups, categories, events or ideas)" in a claim, such as "Each and every member of the Q continuum is omnipotent", I don't see the 2 main concepts/ideas/events.
PLS HELP me understand: I don't see 2 main ideas/events, I see 1. So I'm thinking about step 2 wrong ---HOW can I think about step 2 so that no matter the claim I can see the 2 main ideas/events clearly? (especially one's that only resemble 1 idea, such as the one above or "The only monkeys are the one’s that live in trees")
Or is it still the 4 sections with 3 being scored?
Need help in explaining why (A) and (D) is wrong.
I understand that we need to strengthen the argument that the firm's need to reduce the tests on live animals and therefore use new tests: cultures of human cells.
However, (A) seems to infer that because there has been a move against live animal tests by social activists, cosmetics firm is motivated to reduce live animal test and use new test.
(D) also seems to implicate that if the number of the tests can be reduced by using human cultures, then the firm should use it instead of live animal test.
I chose (E) anyway but still doubtful. Is (E) the best answer because I don't need to make any inference at all?
"Astronomer: Mount Shalko is the perfect site for the proposed...."
Can someone please explain why C is the correct answer? I didn't like any of the answer choices but ended up picking E (even though I was so sure this was wrong, it seemed like the best choice at the time)
Started working through CC in January this year and have increased my score by 25 points since then. I took the June test and the night before that one I posted a similar discussion wishing everyone luck and reminding everyone that mentality is SO important going into this. When I took my June test I sadly had a medical condition flare up. I sat through the test anyway and sadly was not able to perform at my best. However, I am not letting that stop me from annihilating this test tomorrow. You heard it here first: I scored over a 173 and am confidently applying to my dream schools. Feel free to claim your scores here as well -- and remember -- you are ready and you got this!
Sending an anxiety free and dare I say... fun... test your way this weekend. Hope y'all enjoyed my commentary on the CC and the PTs, it's been lit.
Hello! I am new to 7Sage and am a little confused on the setup. I noticed there is an option to choose volume 1 or 2 and they each have different amounts of lessons and required hours. I did not realize there were two volumes of study material and have been going through logic games on volume 2, which has less material. Which one are we supposed to be choosing?
