@Kevin_Lin In this case, yes. I would be implying that there may be some dogs that don't like to be pet. How can I guarantee that all dogs like to be pet? Please explain.

@ManjotSingh How long have you been studying and what was your diagnostic? I'm supposed to write in June, but I am considering moving it due to my low diagnostic.

I find this quite confusing. I still seem to be confusing sufficient and necessary:

eg. The students who mastered logic saw improvements in their PrepTest scores.

To master logic it is necessary to see improvements on your test score

Master logic -> See improvements

Couldn't it also be that in order to see improvements its necessary to master logic?

See improvements -> Master logic

---------------------------------------------------------

eg. An engaging plot will guarantee a novel's commercial success.

I see an engaging plot as necessary to guarantee commercial success.

success -> engaging plot

But the answer is the opposite.

---------------------------------------------------------

eg. Some amount of memorizing conditional indicators is required to master conditional logic.

In my mind, the memorization aspect is necessary to master conditional logic.

Master conditional logic -> Memorization

@Kevin_Lin I'm having a similar issue in which I see it both ways and get very confused which goes where. In the example:

eg. The students who mastered logic saw improvements in their PrepTest scores.

To master logic it is necessary to see improvements on your test score

Master logic -> See improvements

Couldn't it also be that in order to see improvements its necessary to master logic?

See improvements -> Master logic

Does anyone have any tips for remembering which terms belong to each group?

eg. Group 1 (sufficient): if, when, where, all, the only, every, any

Question 2:

Please explain why this is incorrect.

No holiday falls within the month of August.

/ holiday -> fall in aug

/ fall in aug -> holiday

@Kevin_Lin Is it the word "either" that makes it exclusionary? Because it's stated that the meaning of the first sentence would remain the same with or without the word "either".

eg. You must sit at (either) one end of the table or the other.

I'm not understanding the difference between that sentence and this one:

eg. Jon must enroll in Economics 101 or Political Science 101 this semester.

@J.Y.Ping Do we need to BR if we get the answer correct but took long to choose? And how do we use the BR function correctly? Is it as simple as try the question again?

Although I chose the correct answer, I do not understand the explanation for why "B" is wrong. By my reasoning, it was wrong for a completely different reason.

I notice in the explanations he reads the questions first then moves to the paragraphs. Should we do it in this order when responding to questions?

Do all sentences need to be a premise or a conclusion for it to be an argument? What if 2/4 are premises and 1/4 is a conclusion but the other 1 is neither?
