Something that helps me a lot is identifying the two concepts that exist within the statement. From there its just picking one of them and negating and making it the necessary condition. In this sense, it makes it all feel much more mechanical if you prefer learning it that way. Hope this helps.

For example:

Jordan cannot be the GOAT because Lebron exists.

Two concepts:

Jordan GOAT (JGOAT), Lebron Exists (LE)

LE --> /JGOAT: If Lebron exists, Jordan is not the GOAT.

JGOAT --> /LE: If Jordan is the GOAT, Lebron does not exist.

Lebron is of course the GOAT tho
