I called LSAC and was told that using the July freebie for September may or may not be an option. She said “I don’t know if that will even be an option at this point. You can call back closer to the test date to check again.”

It will also still take three weeks to release the September test score.

What a mess!!

[closed] LG

LG section tripped me up for some reason. Seemed pretty standard maybe I was just today?

#help

The "unless what grimes or the company president said is incorrect" really threw me off. If they removed that portion of the stimulus and just said "Thus, the contract was violated" I would've picked AC C immediately. Am I wrong in thinking that the stimulus introduced a scenario that can never be true based on the fact that we are to believe everything said in the stimulus as true? Is there ever a time in a SA question like this where I can assume that maybe the company president or grimes was actually incorrect?

Ohno,

Thanks for the response. This is exactly the type of answer I was looking for. I often wonder if there is a strict formula for each and every school when deciding on how much scholarship money to give to an applicant. Also, if factors like geographic location and ethnicity of the applicant play a role as well.

Congratulations! May I ask how long have you been practicing to get the perfect LR score? I am trying to improve from my diagnostic of 145 and LR is also the most difficult part for me. Thank you in advance!

Hey @, sorry for the late response. I have been studying for about 6 months now but only 4 of those months with 7sage. My post was about the Logic Games section of the test (LG), not Logical Reasoning (LR). Not sure if you mistakenly wrote LR but I'll give some advice either way. Just keep at it! I have had so many moments where I've wanted to give up because I felt like I wasn't making any progress. Just as someone below me responded, I would suggest studying without a timer until you really feel like you're in a comfortable position with the material. In the end, there is no substitute for hard work when it comes to this test. Keep your head down and stay after it. Best of luck!!

#help can someone explain why JY did not diagram the first sentence using "without" as a group 3 indicator

I’m going to post this because I’ve seen 3 different answers so far. LR (26) LG LR (25) LR (25) RC

For those with only two LR’s - did either have 26 questions?

Question #27 is absolute garbage.

Accommodations may be essential for some. However, disclosure of accommodations should be mandatory. The most difficult part of the LSAT is the 35 minute time restriction placed on each section. Any test without these 35 minute restrictions is simply not the LSAT. Also, how on earth is it possible to decide exactly how much extra time is appropriate? In some cases, people may not be given the appropriate amount of extra time. In other cases, the extra time awarded will be much more than what is appropriate. An extra 5 minutes on each section would increase my score by more than 10 points, I have tested this multiple times. My problem here is not with the accommodations, it is that a law school has no way to differentiate between myself and someone who had twice as long as I did to take the "same" test.

Was stuck between C and D for question #14 and went with C because the passage talks about scientific rigor. Although I can see why C is wrong I hate why D is right.

Here is my problem with D - the passage states "...subscribe to the to the long standing view, now recognized as unrealistic, that effective data gathering can and must be conducted from a position of complete detachment (objectivity)." In other words, the view that objectivity is essential for effective data gathering is no longer held.

D states - "They were incorrect in assuming that researchers in social sciences are able to gather data in an entirely objective manner." In other words, the view that researchers in social sciences are able to gather data in an entirely objective manner is false. But the researchers don't assume this at all in the passage. They are just saying that objectivity is not required for effective data gathering, not that you can't be objective whatsoever and still gather data effectively.

I am pretty sure I messed something up here and will have a AHA moment soon, but I already typed this all out so I might as well post it now. If anyone can clear this up for me I would seriously appreciate it. #help #help #help

Studying for the LSAT is so brutal that when you hit a goal like this it is important to take a deep breath and appreciate the work you have put in thus far. My diagnostic was a 144 for some perspective here. For anyone that is currently struggling with LG - trust the process. Keep grinding and you will see the results.

Back to the books!

I think I may do the same with questions I am not sure about. I will pay closer attention to the time individually for each question and definitely try to give myself at least half the time for the last two passages, maybe this will help! Thanks for the response!!

Hello all,

I should make it clear that I am not looking to get a perfect score in the RC section but rather maximize efficiency. In LG, by skipping the substitution and equivalence questions and coming back if I had time I was able to boost my average a few points. In LR, I skip any PF questions after question #10 and come back if I have time. This has also boosted my average for LR. I was wondering if i can employ a similar strategy for RC. I find that the rated difficulty of the passage really has no bearing on my score for that passage. Some 2 star passages I bomb because I struggle to understand the content. Some 5 star passages I ace because I understand the content. My average score for an RC section is -10 and with that I am still scoring in the 160's. Also it is important to note my BR for RC sections is ALWAYS -1 or -2. I can provide more context if needed, any response is appreciated!

I was able to eliminate D because it really changes nothing in relation the argument. So what if you can score big on a grand prize? This does not guarantee a change the average

B seems like such a reach to me. Based on the passage, there is just no way we can infer that a cities population/economy size will have any effect on the outcome. With that being said, the other answer choices are poor and POE led me to reluctantly select B during BR.
