For 9.3, the first sentence does not support the second sentence. The truth of "Before the increase in fuel prices, people with average incomes could afford to drive their cars frequently for leisure activities." does not make "However, the rise in fuel prices has now made it costly for them to engage in such activities." more likely to be true. They're just two parallel and equal sentences. #feedback

I feel like The Tiger argument is also strong. If the premise is true, then it is definitely true that not all mammals are suitable to be kept as pets, because at least tigers are not.

Hi jay, sorry for the late reply, for some reason I did not receive any notifications for your message, Would you like to exchange contact? I also formed a WhatsApp study group for LSAT. Let me know if you would like to join the group.

Pretty sure we can also infer that B‑m→C

#help For question 11, is it possible that no kittens at all were adopted by families with children? It seems to me that "fewer than half of the kittens" would imply there is at least one kitten in daily language. So beside the "kitten —m→ /home-children", would it be reasonable to also add a "kitten ←s→ home-children"? Otherwise it would be a pretty strange way to say that no kitten at all were adopted by families with children.

For everyone confused in the comment, I wanna leave my understanding of necessary condition and sufficient condition here:

Assume N is a necessary condition for an event and S is a sufficient condition for the same event.

if N happens, the event might or might not happen.

if N does not happen, the event definitely will not happen.

if S happens, the event definitely will happen

if S does not happen, the event still may or may not happen. (because there could be other sufficient conditions.)

Something could be necessary and sufficient at the same time, lets call it NS

In this case:

if NS happens, the event definitely will happen.

if NS does not happen, the event definitely will not happen.

Please correct me if my understanding is wrong, but if not I hope this helps a bit.

I find it a bit tough to make my resume outstanding as an undergraduate student. There are not many work experiences I can write about.

B threw me off when it says "used in ways that no other people did at that time". It is not the same with "ate a wider variety of plants". I was thinking that maybe other people also use plants as food but just didn't discover the "wide variety of plants".

August LSAT study buddy

Hi everyone, I am an international applicant currently doing my bachelors at the university of Edinburgh (studying German&Philosophy). I am planning on taking the August 2024 LSAT. So far I’ve only done the old PT, scoring around 170. Would like to find someone to go through the new format PT together :) Feel free to drop me a message.

Also I have a small question. I am finishing my bachelors degree in June/July 2025 and hoping to attend the 2025 fall JD class. Is it too late/too early to take the August 2024 LSAT? Thanks for any information.

I didn't understand why we just assume that aliens are less intelligent than humans. I thought we were saying "unless" they are as intelligent as humans, which does not preclude the possibility that there are aliens that are as intelligent.

I got this question right by guessing between C and D. But I'm not satisfied with the explanation on C. C does address an important assumption made in the stimulus, namely that leisure travellers value their comfort as much as business travellers do. That is why airline companies should value leisure travellers comfort to make sure the 80% ticket sell don't fall. However, C addresses this concern by clarifying that comfort is not that important to leisure travellers, which in turns means even if the airline companies do not value leisure traveller's comfort, they would still purchase 80% of the tickets. This would weaken the argument, which says airline companies should value the comfort of leisure travellers because they make up 80% of ticket sell. In general, I am not quite sure why C is wrong.

I am massively behind on time... I only managed to do 3/5 questions when timed and only got 2 of them right. When untimed I got all five right. And it actually did not take me that much longer when untimed. I feel like a ticking clock disproportionally stresses me out. Anyone got any advices?

My logic for choosing A was imagining myself being the car thief lol. If I hold on to the car after the owner notices and calls the police, it is probably easier for the police to track me down because the owner can tell the police the colour of the car (and the number plate/brand etc.). So more thieves holding onto the car means more thieves get caught and convicted. Moral of the story, abandon the car as soon as possible after you stole it.
