I like the questions with less words
5/5 Medium and about 10-20 seconds slower than target on each question. I was just trying to ask myself why each one was right or wrong.
Those stims were just so long it took me a while to read and diagnose them. I don't fully understand the short target times.
If C, instead of "sleeping in comfort" said just "Comfort" wouldn't that be a way to weaken it?
I looked at B and ruled it out because it didn't say anything about traffic congestion decreasing. My thought was that even if the cost of living decreases that does not entail profits will increase based on the fact that we don't know if traffic congestion will decrease. Because traffic congestion is necessary for profits to increase and it didn't say anything, I just X'd it out, but I somewhat understand how it is right.
Took an L on the 50/50 of B and D
I am confused on how Sklar's objection means that he/she means chess shouldn't be taught. He/she doesn't explicitly say, "I object to chess being taught." Sklar just points out one of the reasons why it potentially shouldn't be taught. It's like me saying, "My one objection with teaching children to play basketball is that the children could be studying instead of playing basketball." This does not entail the claim that basketball shouldn't be taught altogether, but instead an issue with teaching children to play basketball. Perhaps I think that children should focus on their studies more than basketball, but it doesn't mean that I altogether reject the teaching of basketball.
Let me know if you can help clear this confusion. Thank you
