for the second principle/condtional, is it okay to just kick up EDP and RLC into the domain so you don't have to worry about tackling the embedded conditional?

I was able to immeidately cite the line about the lawyers' belief in the first paragraph when I read the qs stem but I had a difficult time parsing out the meaning of answer choice D so I picked A. But after careful grammatical analysis of D, it is a paraphrase of that line from the first paragraph smh.

the issue with answer choice D is exposed when you think of the logical application of the answer choice or visualize it in terms of sets and superset. to translate the answer choice it becomes music jackie prefers to listen→rock music . So in this case the superset is Rock Music (big circle) and the subset is music jacie prefers to listen to (circle inside of the big circle). Notice how I did not attrubute a SIZE of the circle to the subset. We really do not know HOW MUCH rock music Jackie listens to. For all we know, all she listens to is one rock band exlusively and nothing else. Or it's possible that she listens to a lot of rock artists/bands. We cannot say for sure. I still don't think answer choice A is a "strong"/good answer choice but D does have some holes in it.

this is an awesome lesson, the explanations for B and C provided some great clarification on S.A. vs N.A. For a second I even tricked myself into thinking B was a necc. assumption but it isn't as was explained. In fact, answer choice B itself requires a handful of assumptions to be true which defies the purpose of being a necc. assumption.

it's probabably best if you do most of your pratice via the online interface. After all, the more you simulate real test day conditions, the better your results and improvement will be

I think the real A and E Bias is from how often we eliminate answer choice A and how often we select answer choice E. I feel like there have been times where I cross out A because it doesn't match my prephrase or theres a word i don't like in it and then after eliminating everything I just think "it's gotta be E right?" (panic mode). It's best to pick or eliminate an answer based on how wrong or not wrong it is from its content and not its placement.

I'd be interested for sure! I also have the goal of taking the LSAT in June 2025.

my issue with answer choice C, is that how are we sure that the person BELIEVES that it could bring them harm. Sure, playing the joke could bring harm, but does the person believe it could bring that harm?

would like to hear any clarifications on this

can someone give me examples of how the critic would hypothetically provide "evidence against the professor’s premises"?

i looked at the stim as sort of a rule + application stim. The first half of the stim is the "rule" or potentially a generalization and the second half of the stim is the application, specifically applying it in the context of hisory books. Typically, the application portion is what the author is trying to drive home, and thus is the main point of the argument. There is analogical reasoning in action in this stim, which is also used to drive the point home.

holy cow, didn't even notice that switch in the last sentence where it says "rich in oxygen and lean in nitrogen" and I autmatically read it as rich in hydrogen and lean in oxygen

LMAO dude I thought answer choice A said "decreases the amount of LACTOSE". It actually says LACTASE. whoops

tho it does beg the question, if answer choice A actually did say LACTOSE instead of lactase, would it be a correct answer choice?

I feel answer choice D is trying to assumption bait you into interpreting it as "well since the other products are booming, then there is no need to save/salvage our failing product". But of course, that is NOT what D is saying

one way to think of it is to ask yourself "if the conclusin is true, must this answer choice be true?" think of the N.A. as what the argument needs to prevent it from flatlining. Often, this can be presented in 2 forms: a necessary assumption that links two ideas in the stimulus (look out for brand new concepts and terms as the argument goes from premise to conclusion) or a n.a. that protects the argument from a possible objection.

hey, lately i've been scoring in the mid 160s and hit a BR of 170 just the other day. I would be interested to join this group to break into the 170s range, if there's still space for me.

it's good to understand what the sentences and words are saying, but I think it's important that after you read a paragraph you have a decent understanding of the paragraph. In other words, you can boil down the paragraph to its gist; why was the paragraph written or what is it that is trying to be said?

I think answer choice B would actually weaken the argument. On my second read through it says the consutruction of the temple at didyma began over a century AFTER the parthenon. If the construction at didyma happened AFTER the parthenon, how would they have used the scale drawing from didyma to make thebulging columns? I misread B and thought it said "before" but i'm not sure if that actually makes the answer choice any better tho it does sound better relative to C. POE is ideal here for sure, I narrowed it down to B and C and just glossed over the word "after" in B.

I would be down for this. I finished the loophole 3-4 months ago and it has helped my approach in tackling questions in general

don't think of your study time as "wasting time". It's an investment! part of doing well on the test can depend on the mindset that you have when studying. As a pessimist, I will say that I have seen some improvement from just going into pts and drills with a positive mindset. You are at least in a decent scoring range and your score would suggest that you do have a grasp the foundational concepts of the LSAT. I think at this point for you, you need to really scrutinize your mistakes. Are you getting certain question types wrong consistently? are you losing the most points towards the end of a section? How often are you changing correct answers to wrong answers? These are some of the things to consider to really weed out your weaknesses. It's easy to get lost in the score sauce, so it's critical that you trust the process and make note of the small wins you make each time you study. Hope this helps a little!

when i read the first sentence of the stim, after the last phrase about the impossible scenario, I presumed that it would imply the previous estimates were wrong. However, JY stated that the sentence would mean either the Universe is older than we tought or the stars gotta be younger than the universe. How did you guys interpret this sentence??
