If you press the period or comma key on your keyboard it speeds up or slows down the video speed! Period to speed up, comma to slow down! it works for every video and you don't need to have the playback speed option on the screen
Me too... but after watching the video it makes sense now! Plus realistically if this question showed up on the test I most likely would've kept my original answer and would have been right anyway
I don't think this works for every weakening question but for ones like this, this is how I solved it correctly the first time around:
I took the "therefore" and plugged in the answer choices until I decided on E because it made the most sense logically that gave an alternative explanation.
If you plug in A, B, C, or D, after "therefore", they either don't make sense or don't offer an alternative explanation. Like I said, I wouldn't do this for every weakening question but it works for one that is set up like this :) hopefully this helped someone!
that's how I went about this problem. I chose the wrong answer at first because I misread A but I chose it in the blind review using this thought process.
Same! I got it right the first time then over thought and chose C in the blind review
ughh I was doing great on all the other lessons and was getting everything right but for some reason I just cannot understand these lessons. Does anyone have a better solving process/way to simplify than the videos do for MBT?
How I think of it is "does this relate directly to the stimulus?" if my answer is no I go back real quick and "read between the lines" making sure the answer choice doesn't imply something from the passage that I might've missed. if my answer is still no I eliminate the answer. once I get down to my last 2 answer choices I go back and see which choice fits better based on the stimulus. keep going til you master the easy questions and then increase the difficulty :)
I am doing great on all of the questions and I have gotten each one correct so far, but I'm off of the target time by 15-30 seconds each time. Does anyone have tips on how to get faster? The first time I took the LSAT this was my biggest struggle.
In this case it really comes down to the answer choices on the test. It is good during the logical reasoning section to have an idea of what some assumptions could be because during the necessary or sufficient assumption questions you'll need to have somewhat of an idea of some before going into the answer choices so you have an idea of what to look for. Hope that helps!
I originally thought this too, but then I remembered persuasiveness. I think you have to think about if the author is trying to persuade you of something. There is no persuasion going on in this case
The way I think of it is that there is either more or less room for error. The Tiger argument is straight to the point and has little room for error/has few assumptions that really stick out. The cat argument has much more room for error and the assumptions can be extremely broad. I think the more assumptions you could make and how broad they could be makes it less reasonable. I hope that makes sense.
I was confused about this too, but after thinking about it for a minute, I believe that it is weaker because there simply just isn't enough evidence for it to be 100% definitive. The Disney argument provides all the "steps" leading up to why that conclusion can be seen as definitive, whereas the tiger argument just has a singular premise. You kinda have to take that premise at face value and really pay attention to specific words like the word "can" compared to words like "will" or "is". Hopefully that makes sense.
WHY do I always get the 4/5 stars right but never the 2/3 stars
