Firstly, thank you thank you thank you 7Sage! I scored above my expectations and even beat my PT average which I was already happy with. This was my first time taking the LSAT so I busted my back with 7Sage every day for 8 months and it was worth it. So everyone dragging their feet through this preparation process, keep going and don't give up. You're with the best.
Secondly, does anyone know when LSAC officially releases scores? I've been getting emails from schools I've applied to saying they're still waiting on LSAC to release December scores before they can review, even though I got my score back last night.
@bwetmore91 yeah I had 2 LG sections too so I'm just trying to figure out how kennedybj is sure that XWYZ was the experimental one.
@kennedybj959 ahh i'm blanking. What other questions were in that section??
@cahunt5221780 which one are you guys talking about?! I'm trying to figure out which one of my LGs was experimental
But I'm thinking one of my LGs was an experimental- are we allowed to talk about this?
@bethflanders40 The stimulus starts out by stating the object was found in a tomb. The argument is saying that rather than the object being a weapon, it is a communal object that was passed around to indicate who has the right to speak. Answer B destroys that argument by saying that communal objects would be passed down to subsequent generations, meaning it would still be used today, and not in a tomb. Therefore, it weakens the argument by eliminating the possibility that it is a communal object.
@rbrog975 yep. And not touching LSAT stuff for more than 12 hours gets me antsy but I think you and @2543.hopkins are right. Did your October score end up more or less within your PT avg though?
Yeah I think I'm going to stop freaking myself out this late in the game. I thought it would help to keep my brain "LSAT ready" by taking PTs up until test day but at this point I'm not sure that's helping.
So the test I took today (scored 154) was PT 73. On Sunday I took PT 71 and scored a 158. Obviously that worries me because it's more recent and I'm concerned the December test will reflect this level of difficulty. But PTs 65-70 were the tests where I was scoring between 160-163 consistently.
Hi all, so I'm taking the test Saturday. In the past 5 PTs I've done, I've scored in the 160-163 range which I'm not thrilled about but I'm not hating it either because an LSAT score in that range plus my GPA would get me into my target schools. BUT Sunday and today I PTd again and scored a 158 and 154 respectively. 154!!!! Someone please tell me this is just my nerves getting to me.
@nordeend22
For the record, this is completely different from how I approach RC (typically only have 2-3 minutes left) and LG (typically have 1 minutes left).
Do you mind sharing how you approach RC? Having 2-3 minutes left to spare would be my DREAM. I run out of time in RC sections with 4-5 questions unanswered almost without fail.
Oh okay that's not too bad. I think I'll manage without the diapers haha
Thanks for bringing this up @5648. I've been meaning to ask about test day as well. Apart from the 15 minute break (after section 3?) do we get any sort of bathroom breaks or water breaks throughout the test? Or am I basically going to have to hold it for ~3 hours..? lol
On the subject of BR, is it bad that I keep having circled questions and that I only get RC passages 100% right after BR reviewing?? I can't help but think that under real testing conditions, I won't have the chance to BR and what answers I put down the first time will be what I'm stuck with. I also seem to finish the questions just under the recommended time, so I don't think I would have much time for review either..
Hey guys, just wondering if I should start doing preptests AS I'm going through the syllabus to keep track of my improvements? Or if I should finish the syllabus then start the PTs? Curious to see what you guys do.
Congrats @7sagestudentservices! That's awesome! What was your diagnostic score if you don't mind me asking??
@jyang72422 @giannamurabito729 how did you guys set it up? i went with a chart
