From my understanding answer choice E helps us conclude the application because without E all we know is that Healy's labeled the vase is from the 18th century which Healy’s could have stated that because of an error by the art museum’s authenticator or some other reason. Answer choice E needed to specifically state that Healy misrepresented the vase in a deliberate attempt to mislead bidders. The part about "without consulting..." is not really the main takeaway from the answer. in comparison with the other answers E is the most accurate in explaining the "deliberately misleading bidders" which was what was missing in the application of the principle.
I ran through this question very quickly and overlooked B because I took a section of the context and reasoned B into being relevant in evaluating the argument. The part where it says "...a fact that the government and the home lighting industry are eager to change." I made the mistake of taking this to be a good motive and source of support in a sense for answer B. I noticed my misjudgment during BR, as the lighting industry eagerness to gain more clients and make more money doesn't do much for evaluating why everyone should use low-wattage bulbs. I mean you can argue that it is relevant, but with the given stimulus and in comparison to the other 4 answer choices B really does not do much which is why it is the correct answer.
"Goddamn it you had a chance" - me with every wrong answer I had full confidence in
From my understanding, it doesn't help explain the discrepancy because it tells us that the experimental design of the 12-year study was solid and reliable. Our goal is to find 4 answers that resolve the issue and the correct answer is the one that does not and D says that the 12 yr study is reliable which is kind of useless which is why it's the correct answer. idk if that helps but yea... in an except question I try to look for answer choices that seem pointless

an ungoverned man... an entitled prick that apparently needs 2.08 mins of our lives
In a must be true question you have to follow the chain and the chain says fish and NO birds = gerbils. If the independently owned pet stores sell both fish and birds we know nothing about gerbils according to the rule because the rule is about the stores that sell fish and DON'T sell birds. Answer choice B flips stuff around in an attractive and confusing way, but it is still wrong.
Lawgic or diagraming should be a tool used if it helps clarify the text. It is more like a stepping stone to eventually understand the content intuitively and quickly, so if you already feel like you can get it without drawing it out, you shouldn't draw it out. But I would recommend going over the sufficient vs necessary mess because regardless if you draw out the chain you have to know the difference.
the simplest way of thinking about it is;
'if....then'
if = sufficient
then = necessary
example: if you study, you will get an A
study --> A
studying is sufficient enough to get you an A, but just because you got an A doesn't mean you studied i.e you could have cheated or maybe you are naturally gifted idk.
from my understanding you cannot draw a conclusion from Kumar being 17 mins late because so what he is 17 mins late that doesn't mean we know he was cited by the teacher we are assuming he was cited late because of our outside knowledge
P1) Late -> 5+
P2) k5+
--------
C) ? we cannot just flip the arrow to satisfy our assumption
for it to be formally valid it should read
P1) Late-> 5+
P2) kLate
--------
C) k5+
another thing that helped me was adding another clause just because ;
P1) cited late-> 5+
P2) 5+-> No recess
P3) k5+
--------------
C) k No recess
From my understanding so far the arrow only goes one way;
if A then B does not mean if B then A
hope this helped !!!
My thought process
A. No support : the info provided did not give us an exhaustive list of what constitutes as a work of art only some examples of art i.e poem, novel, symphony is it said ONLY in the stimulus then maybe this choice would be okay
B. No support : Blank verse??? not in stimulus red flag I zoomed through this choice, but a more clear explanation of why it is more wrong is that the stimulus lists some of the MCL that a poem exploits it doesn't say it has to have all.
C. Correct : I gaslit myself into marking this off because I thought Novel = no MCL but the stimulus clearly says usually not MCL + meter & rhyme= MCL = Poem this choice is the only choice that is valid by referring back to the facts stated in the stimulus we have proof that this answer is supported.
D. No support : I picked this wrong answer but I recognize how wrong my assumption was the stimulus says nothing about non-artistic poems it was a pretty choice because it has familiar elements but it rearranged them in a way that makes the statement unsupported.
E. No support : This one was a bit tricky for me the stimulus says symphony maybe a work of art that exploit some MCS it doesn't say is a work of art (like it does for poem) so I originally thought it was an okay AC but if we read closely we know from the first sentence that work of art = MCL not MCS so that makes this AC unsupported
Note to self : READ CAUTIOUSLY
knowing you had the right answer and changing it during blind review is so frustrating. I don't know how I convince myself to changing the right answers, but double down on the wrong answers. I got have got to start taking more time on the blind review sections and read the choices more carefully. If anyone has some tips that can help with this pls reply!!
Hi- I have a similar problem I purchased LawHub through 7sage but I am unable to access my LawHub advantage subscription. Every time I log into my LawHub account it it asks me to upgrade. Please let me know how I can solve this issue!
