Seton Hall Law Vs Brooklyn Law

Got a $90k scholarship from Brooklyn law, and $75k from Seton Hall Law. Seton hall has a better ranking, but from what I’ve heard, Brooklyn law is better suited for the NYC market. Any views? TIA

I improved from 157 to 161 in 6 weeks, so if you can identify your weaknesses and tackle them, I believe there's definitely improvement to be had in a month.

Law schools only look at the highest scores. Since you will have taken the LSAT only twice with the March administration, shouldn't matter much even if you get a lower score.

Soft factors matter, but they are called "soft" for a reason. LSAT would be a far better bet.

I hear you! Any advice on how to go about it? Thank you!

@ , that’s awesome! Do you mind sharing the resources used and your study schedule? I tried doing I prep test I had done way back in October, but I kinda remember the LR answers, and RC, too. Doesn’t paint a true picture, so I’m worried I might improve.

Retake?

#Help

Cold diagnostic- 143

January score- 159

Still debating if I should retake in March because I scored more or less around my PT score, and I don’t know if I can improve in a month’s time. Can give only the March one, none else. Skeptic in as to scoring lower the second time around. I don’t have a great resume or softs, so I was wondering if I should use this time between now and June to work on that instead. I’m an international student and my grad score is in %age. I topped in my college, though. Advice appreciated.

TIA

Admission advice!

#Help

Hello, everyone.

I'm an international student, and I scored a 159, 77 percentile on the LSAT. Can't retake due to lack of time and resources. I really don't know what to do next and anxiety is getting the best of me. The country I am from doesn't issue grad score as GPA, they give out percentages. I scored 74%, and topped in my class. Any suggestion is appreciated. What should I do next for scholarships, and can I even get into a good College with this score?

TIA

Filling the admission ticket

Might come across as a stupid question. I just want to make sure about one thing, can we hand write in the space provided for “print name”, while doing the signature or do we need to edit the pdf and make changes via that. TIA

In answer choice B, it seemed like "none of the films were based on novels other than books" also includes the total 100, and not just 25, that confused me a bit.

lol - best answer

For some practical reasons. I think law is a discipline that just works really well with the way I think and what I enjoy. I love reading and language and dissecting it for precise meaning.

I also am fascinated with the way that the law really affects so many aspects of our daily lives. From how your employer treats you, to the way you drive, the cleanliness of your drinking water, the availability of healthcare and the efficacy of education. Law undergirds all of it. There are so many different aspects to choose from in law and they call can have a profound impact on society.

Awesome! Good luck!

Personally I want to pursue environmental law because I have a great affinity for our natural world and our public spaces. The need conserving in order for us to enjoy them their fullest. Also the fact that we as a race depend upon nature, and doing our best to use it responsibly requires laws and regulations that unfortunately many people try to dismantle. While environmental law doesn't necessarily promise the big pay check other fields of law do, I find that it is growing in importance and so that is where I want to make my impact.

My fiance is going to become a teacher, so it seems we are ardently following the path of Marshall and Lily from "How I Met Your Mother".

That's really thoughtful! Awesome! I hope you achieve everything you want to. Good luck!

Some law firms give free donuts on Fridays.

And the firm I worked for had a bar, juices, sodas and snacks. So there's that. :)

gotta get at it

To put it as succinctly as possible, I enjoy always questioning the reasoning behind the way things are. The second we start just going through the motions is the second we stop growing.

I resonate!

I want to study law, because I think the law helps to ensure that society functions effectively.

(Imagine a country without laws... I personally don't think it would be that great of a country.)

Studying something you think of as valuable is cool.

I want to be a lawyer, because lawyers play a big part in making sure laws, and the legal system, works.

Plus, a mans gotta make a living :)

Ah! amazing. Good luck!

Like most things, I think Winston Churchill said it best:

“What is the use of living, if it be not to strive for noble causes and to make this muddled world a better place for those who will live in it after we are gone? How else can we put ourselves in harmonious relation with the great verities and consolations of the infinite and the eternal? And I avow my faith that we are marching towards better days. Humanity will not be cast down. We are going on swinging bravely forward along the grand high road and already behind the distant mountains is the promise of the sun.”

Profound!

Why law?

Hello, everyone! I hope the LSAT prep is going as intended.

So, here's a question just out of curiosity. Why law? Why do we want to study law, and become lawyers?

Parsing a sentence

Hello, all! Can you suggest how to effectively parse sentences? I understand that every sentence is unique in its structure, but is there a universal, generic application or set of steps that can help in parsing ? Thanks.
