lost it on the "we used to hunt mammoths now we have to eat squirrels" part hhh
I'm blind reviewing and noticed that I found it so hard the first time because I did not see the word "reject" in the question stem, probably because I was out of time. Note to self, read the question stem thoroughly, do not assume.
I like this question so much it is a classic probability question, still, I didn't get it right in PT...
so as JY has explained, even if the chance for the astronauts getting killed in each stage is very low, say 1/25 or 4%, that means the probability for them to survive that stage is 96%. Quite high right? However, if they have to go through 100 stages, then the total probability for them to still be alive at the end would be astonishingly lower. To be precise, their chances of being dead would be 1 (the total chance for them to be alive plus the chance that they don't survive) - (96%)^100 (meaning that at stage 1, 2, 3,...100 they all managed to be alive) = 98.31%, and the chance of surviving, is, of course, 0.96^100 = 1.69%. That is the power of exponents, kind of counterintuitive but it would make sense if you just assume that there would be a lot of trials and sure mistakes would happen. Here we can change 100 to almost any number greater than 10 and the conclusion will stand...
Interested! I’m in Montreal but would love to join u guys! Feel free to DM me.
I got quite emotional reading this.Hard work will payoff! Congrats to you Jonah! Good luck with your application!
I don't see any meaningful disadvantages in telling them this career path, as long as you can make the connection of working for the Korean foreign ministry and choosing a US legal education.
Had 3 LRs(1st, 3rd and 4th), the 1st one had 26 questions. So the second one( sperm whales, a sing zebra with b/w camouflage) and the last one (haunted house) which one was experimental guys?
@ @ I'd like to have the link as well please! Thanks a lot!
Another October test taker. I am willing to pay.
Question 13, the theory wasn't that having been exposed to musicals before is a necessary condition for it to be accepted as "realistic", it is more like just a sufficient condition. So why is C correct, as surely when a sufficient condition fails people can still accept it as reality can't they?
Which question exactly?
@ same boat here. I went -4 on BR for RC which is the same I got on the exam. And to be honest I found some of the questions quite tricky. As for LG and LR it was like -0 or -1 so not too tough.
@-4 I guess for now you have to wait until 7sage uploads it.
Can't wait to pull out my iPad and try this, thank you!
