Calling all international students or students currently studying abroad!

I am a student from the United States studying abroad in Morocco and I've been frustrated because most study groups meet at times which would be impossible for me to participate in. So, I thought I would try to form my own group. We would probably only be able to meet a few times since I'll be taking the October LSAT on the 18th, however I still think it could be really beneficial. We could use Zoom and meet any time from 7-11pm GMT+1 time. Please let me know if you or anyone you know is interested!

Hi all!

I hope you're doing well! Disclaimer: this will be a longer post, but I have a TL;DR at the end.

I'm planning on taking the October 14th, 2022 LSAT (and most likely the November 11th, 2022 LSAT as well). I am also aiming to have submitted my law school applications by September 30th, 2022.

With that in mind, I am looking to form a virtual study group that would serve the following purposes:

a) prepping for the test and studying together;

b) creating a space where we can be held accountable for our study time (since I personally have been having a hard time staying on track);

c) providing peer support throughout the application process (ideally, but not required to join!); and,

d) perhaps making a few friends along the way!

Just a few notes before I get into the details:

a) This group is open to everyone, regardless of where you are in your LSAT prep journey and/or your score goals. Put simply, it will be a kind, supportive, and inclusive space for anyone that wishes to join.

b) Everyone has different schedules and so there is no need to commit to studying with the group every day/for the entire duration of the study sessions to be a part of this group.

c) To keep this a judgement-free and safe space, practice test scores and score goals will be kept private from one another, especially since again, we may all be at different places in our prep journey.

d) This will be a virtual study group and we will meet via Zoom/Microsoft Teams (depending on our preference). A proposed study plan/schedule is as follows:

Proposed study plan:

a) Monday to Friday: Silent study arrangement where we can individually go through our own LSAT prep, with the exception of 5 minutes at the beginning and end to settle in and wind down, as well as a break in the middle. We can also decide as a group if we would like to set aside some time (~15-20 minutes) sometime during the week to go over difficult concepts and questions we are reviewing.

b) Saturday: Practice test day! Again, we can decide as a group how we could like to set this up (ideally I'd like to stimulate an actual proctored test), and we can also interchange PTs with drilling and/or other exercises and activities.

c) Sunday: Open discussion and blind review. Sundays will be dedicated to blind review, as well as for the group to discuss and go over any problems, questions, or breakthroughs from the week.

Proposed study schedule (all times in EST):

a) Monday to Friday: 7:00 AM to 8:30 AM; 7:30 PM to 9:30 PM.

b) Saturday: 2:30 PM to 6:30 PM.

c) Sunday: 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM.

Again, the proposed study plan/schedule is just that: proposed. This can always be adjusted to better meet the needs of group members and to be more accommodating.

If you are interested, please comment down below or send me a message and I will send you a call/chat invite. I'd hope to have an informal call before we get straight to studying to meet and get to know one another (date TBD). As a quick reminder, however, please don't post any personal information (i.e., phone numbers, email addresses, social media handles, etc.) in the comments.

Thank you so much for reading my post and I'm looking forward to hopefully studying with some of you!

TL;DR - proposing a virtual study group for the October and November LSAT test dates, with a tentative schedule and plan detailed above.

Hi all,

I'm normally not one to reach out for help and put myself out there like this, but I think I need to for this kind of test. Originally, I thought I was going to set a schedule and get through this course and take the test all on my own, but life happens. I've been on and off trying to get through this course, and I've been working full time for almost a year trying to study at the same time. It's been challenging trying to stay on track, and I don't want to put off this test any longer. To be honest, I worry about the pace I'm going at and get nervous about taking PTs. I'm not sure how to tell how I'm doing or keep track of my improvements.

I'm looking for anyone who would be willing to have study sessions together and meet online to talk about lessons or share any tips on how you measure your improvements as you go along your studying. Since I work full time, I would only be able to meet after 5pm PT on weekdays and we can work something out on the weekends.

I feel like I am not using 7sage to its full potential, so I'm also trying to send out some Study Buddy invites! I'm not sure how this works, but please let me know if you're interested and I hope we can study together and tackle this LSAT!!

Hello,

Looking to build a small group. Aiming for January here. No rush. This group will have a shared google docs where we will upload our scores. We will track and target each other's weaknesses. I've designed a format that will evaluate the effectiveness of this strategy. We will also work on writing our own LSAT questions on reading comp. Lawd knows I hate that section to the bloodstream. We will also take full PTs virtually together. I'm no LSAT expert. I bombed my first test 150. I want to master consistency and discipline.

Study group

Hi everyone, I am having a hard time staying on track and improving my scores. I would love to have a small group of study partners to keep each other accountable. Taking the OCT 2022 test and most likely Nov as well. Let me know if you would like to join!

Hi, I’m taking the October LSAT and I’m looking for a study partner to review LR and RC sections together several times a week. The plan would be that we each do a section before meeting, and then we can go through the section together to discuss any tricky topics or nuances so that we’re able to more effectively solve such problems in the future.

I’m available mornings (8-9AM) and nights (6-9PM) in PT on weekdays, and am flexible on weekends.

I’m currently averaging -1 to -2 on LR and RC and -0 on LG, and aiming to better be able to tackle the really hard problems and be able to more effectively justify and choose between “last two answers”.

Let me know if you’re interested and we can set up a time to go through a section together.

Are you a 7Sage user looking for an easy way to find people to study with? Or do you just want a break from reviewing questions on your own?

You're in luck! Join us for our next "Study Group Breakout" on Tuesday, September 27th from 9:00-10:30pm ET.

Here's how it works:

  • Register for the Breakout no later than Monday, September 26th.
  • Take PT50 Section 1 (based on 7Sage's numbering - should be an RC section) and blind review it, but DON'T look at the answers (I suggest you take it as a "Drill" rather than as a PrepTest)!
  • Log in to the Breakout Session at the appointed time. We will automatically place you in a group of 3-5 students with similar scores so you can review the section together.
  • At the end of the session, you can exchange emails and keep meeting if you enjoyed the group.
  • Hope to see you there! Register for the event using this link: https://us06web.zoom.us/meeting/register/tZMpdOipqT8tG9wMZgCdqduvAGlUnTf5cAEK

Looking for nightly study partners via zoom. RC heavy. Over the past couple months, I have had zoom sessions with peers where we talk through passages and complete blind reviews and it has helped so much! I would like to do one tonight at around 7:30 central. Message me on 7 sage if you are interested.

    Study buddy

I’m looking for a study buddy to hold each other accountable! I’m planning to study 30+ hours a week mainly evenings (7-10ish) on weekdays and all day during the weekends. My time zone is pst. My first diagnostic was a 161 and aiming for a 172-175 eventually.

Im looking for someone who can just work in silent with over discord calls, but also maybe chat and be friendly with when we want to take a break. (The presence helps a lot).

Add me on discord if interested! xtt#8183

    Hello,

My name is Ken Kim. We are a group of Koreans and Korean-Americans planning to take the LSAT either this October or in a couple of years. We have members scoring from 160-175 either on the official test or practice tests. Some of us are committed full-time to the test while some of us are working at a company, law firm, etc. We meet on the following date at the Gangnam station Exit 9 Wing Study Cafe.

    2:00 pm-5:00 pm, Sunday

We usually meet and do questions from LR and RC. We match our answers and discuss why each one of us have chosen an answer we chose. The fee for joining the study is free other than paying for the studying cafe fee which is 1,900 KRW per person for each hour (5,700 KRW total).

If you are interested, please send me a message to my inbox. I will direct you further. Thanks!

Are you a 7Sage user looking for people to study with? Wish there was an easy way to get paired up?
