What up y'all,

Looking for a study partner in the low 170's who can study after 5pm EST and BR PT's together! I work during the day so that's the only ideal time I can study. Was thinking we take timed RC/LR sections and review those and find gaps in our reasoning when we get questions wrong. I'm free after 5pm everyday and I take PT's sat morning. hmu if interested!

Hi all,

I'm considering adding some daytime study session to my schedule and want to find some other people currently PTing in the 170+ zone to review with.

The other groups I'm involved in are focusing on recent PTs, so we'll probably be BRing older tests and/or international administrations (i.e. LSAT India).

Shoot me a message with your name, weekday availability, and your recent pre- and post-BR scores if you're interested.

Thanks!

Best,

Jordan

October 2021 LSAT 170+

Hey guys! I just decided to push my LSAT date to October cause school really got the better of me. Is there anyone studying for October LSAT want to form a study group. I am just starting out so it would be great to work with people. I can make a discord when people message!

Hello all, I have been studying for the LSAT since last summer, and am currently PTing in the low 160s and looking to bump that to at least the mid-160s for June. I would love to work together one-on-one at least once per week to go over PTs or sections to crystalize my understanding and hopefully help you do the same. I have a pretty good process, but in my experience, going over BR with a partner is incredibly helpful. If interested, please PM me. Thanks in advance and happy studying!

Hi all! I'm taking the June test in the hopes of getting off 2 waitlists, and I really want a 174. I got a 170 last June, 166 in late August, and my weakness was pretty clearly overconfidence on LG: I'd do well on games at home, but shut down completely on test day when the questions didn't look exactly like I expected. Looking for a few people at a similar level to keep each other accountable these last few weeks and help each other shave off those last stubborn minutes on games!

Hi all!

I'm looking for a study buddy to take and keep accountable through the next month into June. I've been averaging ~173 over all the tests (according to 7sage) and am mostly just trying to get my consistency up so I can score around this range next month. My main focus will be on RC/LR, but will be drilling some LG throughout as well.

I work during the days, so am planning to study every weekday between 7:30-9:30AM EST, and once on the weekend. We can discuss specifics about how to tackle this in a DM. Generally, the primary goals will be to keep each other accountable, study together (likely over videochat) to get used to the online proctoring format, and talk through BR and questions that we miss.

Comment or message me directly if interested!

Hi 7sagers,

I'm looking for a study buddy to meet with b/w once and up to 3x/week to drill RC detail retention. We'd time each other when reading a passage, but not impose a time limit--it would be based on your own normal, individual pacing. After reading, one person asks the other about key information from the passage, including the main point, lo-res, and hi-res summaries, a quick structural and tonal analysis, OPAs if they're there, etc. The person who read the passage would then be asked about randomly selected details from the passage, including where the details were located and purpose of the detail. Then the role alternates. This should be helpful for people who have already done most passages and are looking to increase RC retention. This should take about 1-1.5 hours per session.

Some background info: I'm EST from now until close to the end of August and have registered for the June LSAT, likely will do the same for August just to relieve some anxiety. Targeting 175+. I'm available in the early mornings on most days or evenings from 7 p.m. most days.

If you're interested in serious studying and have similar goals and trying out this RC drill, please feel free to pm me. I'll get back to you as soon as I can. I have also tried this exact method out with a 170-scoring study buddy before, and it was extremely helpful for both of us. My study buddy has since "graduated" and taken her next LSAT.

Ps: In my experience, this has worked well in a 1:1 setting. What we can do, however, is form a Discord group and pair off from there if several people are interested.

Best of luck to everyone!

Hello 7Sage neighborhood,

I didn't have any luck with the 'Study Buddies' tool so I am reaching out here.

I'll try to be really detailed in what I'm looking for in a Study Buddy so we have the best chance of being a good match.

  • While I am starting on the lower end of the spectrum (upper 140s), I am highly motivated and will not quit until I either have 170+ or am out of takes. I'm looking for a study buddy who is a kindred spirit in this sense. I presently intend on taking the October exam.
  • The way I envision our sessions is this:
  • From present until late June/early July we link up 1x per week for 1-1.5hrs/wk (preferably toward the end of the week/Thurs-Sat) and review questions we have from the Core Curriculum. These can be any questions at all - concepts, specific LR/LG/RC questions, strategy - with the goal that we help each other gain new insights. I do not believe there's such a thing as a "stupid question" nor should there be any pressure on either of us to try to sound smart or be right about everything. Our goal is to help each other see with a clear view or different perspective, and I believe something as simple as riffing about a question we're having trouble with is extremely beneficial.

From early July through October we link up 1x per week to review PTs. I'd like to build a PT schedule together, and then we can use these sessions in a variety of ways - BRing sections as a team, deep diving individual questions to really get behind the psychology of the LSAT writers, doing question transformations where we take the questions and create new questions out of them, and more.

  • General outlook: I am one of the most easy going people around, but I have a really low tolerance for negativity. I feel extremely lucky to be able to study for this test and enjoy every moment I spend on it. I am looking for someone who is a staunch optimist and who sees this test as an incredible opportunity, rather than someone who views it with disdain or resentment. I'm not saying emotions aren't a thing. In fact, I want a Study Buddy who will pick me up when I'm down and who I can do the same for. What I'm saying is if your view is that the LSAT sucks, and/or when you talk to people about it you mention how much it sucks, and/or if you've encountered questions on this test where you maintain that your view of a wrong answer choice is right over the test writers, then I am not the Study Buddy for you!
  • If you'd like to team up, feel free to send me a message and we can chat further!

    Happy studying.

Hi everyone! I am looking for an LSAT study partner. I spent about 9 months studying last year and then took a break. I was previously scoring in the mid to high 160's and am looking for someone to study with to break 170. I anticipate meeting a couple of times per week over Zoom to study. Let me know if you're interested!I am looking to take the test this summer.

    Hey y'all!

This Thursday we will be reviewing PT 38.

I've had some folks who want to do one on one meetings, and that's fine--I can meet on Wednesdays and Thursdays, but I'll be reviewing PT 38 prior to and up to Thursday night. Happy to do a BR 1 or 2 with someone one on one if you can't make it to Thursday.

I've been so happy with how these are working out, and I'm so glad to have met those who have come so far!

    Hello!

I am a 170+ test scorer. Gave the April test and hoping for the same result. However, my end goal is to get a 175+ for which I would be attempting the June test too. Now at this stage where I feel I have kinda understood the test, I believe my knowledge and experience could benefit others through tutoring sessions and help me stay focussed too.

I am organising a boot camp for the June test for which I am finding 5 serious individuals who could devote 1-2 hours, five days a week. Sessions would be held in a group and through discord. Interested peeps could send me a private message.

Hi, y'all! I am looking to tutor 1-2 people at no cost for a couple of sessions. I would love to focus on LR/RC (though LG is fine too). My asks are that you've finished the CC and are taking sections/PTs (and that you have patience with me since I'm new to tutoring!)

For background, 174/180BR across my last 5 PTs. I am also located in Mountain Time. Feel free to send me a DM!

    Hello,

I'm looking for someone to study with. I scored 174 on the February test, and am prepping to crack 175. I'd like to work with someone who is at an earlier stage of prep, and wants to do sessions where they come to me with questions. I'm down to work with anybody though. Shoot me a message if you're interested.

    Hey guys,

I'm looking to find one study partner that is PT'ing 160+ grinding to hit 170. Ideally we would take the same PT's and timed sections together and then hop on a zoom call after and discuss the one's we got wrong to strengthen our thought processes towards the question and help reframe our erroneous thoughts. Also, I think it adds some accountability towards improving.

I'm a 24 yr. old American male living in China. I normally start studying at 7pm EST but also study from 8 am - 12pm EST if that's more convenient for you. I study 5 days a week MTWTF in china (so SMTWT in America).

If you're interested then PM me, but also consider commenting below so others can reach out to people looking for a study partner, because i'm only looking for one.
