Any good routines to get warmed up before the test?
Thanks :)
I'm a 6+ year writing tutor who used to work with a nonprofit for almost two (admission) years helping students with their personal and diversity statements. I'm willing to fully assist the first 3 people to join with either a personal statement or diversity statement for free and with a personalized approach. If you are interested, comment below or DM me and I'll add you to my own personal Discord group. edit: I now have the 3 people for free extensive help. But I am willing to meet with 7 other people for about 10 minutes each for general advice/questions. Comment below and DM me for the link along with your discord name! expired
i really need to keep myself on point with the lsat, i know cool libraries we can hold group study sessions at, print pts and go over them in person and stuff like that. lmk thanks
I wrote this in the discussions around 4-5 months ago but then my laptop broke and I couldn't access 7sage but I'm back and want to actually get on track with doing this. add me on discord or IG if you guys are willing to join!

Hi Everyone,
Looking for advice or tips on how to improve my RC score. I'm currently getting 6 wrong on LR and 10-13 wrong on RC which is decreasing my score drastically. I've watched the 7sage core curriculum, and I am working with a tutor but we haven't gotten to RC yet. I read nonfiction and fiction daily to improve my reading comprehension skills, but I have such a hard time with RC passages because of the structure and convoluted language, also with the questions I find myself struggling to choose between 1-2 answer choices and i usually always end up choosing the wrong answer. Any tips or tricks would be greatly appreciated!
Hi All—Should I study and review the experimental sections in addition to the scored sections? Or is it unnecessary and too time-consuming? While taking a pretest with an experimental section might help boost stamina, I'm not sure how wise it is to study and review them. Most of you would likely say I should study and review them. But why exactly? Could you please share insights on the importance of reviewing experimental sections? Thank you.
Hi all future law students among me,
Anyone interested in joining a study group in Houston for the upcoming LSAT dates? Personally I am taking the January exam but am interested in joining or creating a group to help and encourage each other for LR, RC, and applications!
Let me know if interested and I can create a groupchat!
I finished PT 38 and its only showing how many i got wrong, but not the actual scaled score which is confusing. The circles where the score should show is completely empty.
So I'm taking the LSAT in about a month now, so I really want to buckle down and squeeze the last few extra points I can out of it. The only problem is that I work full time and find it difficult to come home and take a full length test, so I limit the amount of test I take to one a day on Saturday and Sunday. I just feel that, after a long day of work, I wouldn't be able to preform like I should, and wind up getting frustrated. Should I focus most of my weeknights into drills, or is there a different strategy I should be looking at?
I was struggling with timed tests because I felt like my anxiety about my performance made me forget everything I learned beforehand. I started taking a few breaths during the beginning of my exam and pretending it was untimed practice, and it worked! I went from 165 last week to 173 today!!!!
Is there a way to just take timed sections of previous LSAT, instead of the whole exam? Please helppp
Hey guys! I’m starting an online small study group and trying to host as often as I can! Please comment if you’re interested and I’ll add you. It will be on this discord server: https://discord.com/invite/lsat
Does the virtual tutor choose question type that you tend to get wrong or are the question types randomly chosen? I just would like to know if it is effective for drilling.
Hi All, I am currently working on writing my diversity statement. I want to write about my experience living in poverty. I recently read the nonfiction book, "Poverty, by America" by Matthew Desmond and it articulates a lot about poverty that I want to reference in my essay. I am wondering if it is appropriate to use quotes from the book such as, "Poverty reduces people born for better things" or "Poverty is diminished life and personhood. It changes how you think and prevents you from realizing your full potential". I want to use quotes like above to try to define/explain the ways in which poverty has affected my life while also referencing an intellectual source not only to substantiate my experience but also exemplify my academic ability to analyze a piece of work in my own experience. Any advice would be greatly appreciated! TIA
Help! I've been scoring within the same low-160s range (within 3 points) over the last 5 PTs! I know practicing consistently is key, but i don't want to keep wasting limited PT resources either.
I know many people experience a similar plateau at least once in their study journey, so I would appreciate any specific tips on how you managed to break through (beyond the vague 'just keep studying,' lol). Thanks! (3(/p)
Hi!
New member here and I just got my subscription to 7sage but now it's telling me I also have to get a LawHub Advantage subscription.
I am very confused, can I use 7sage without it?
I'm taking my LSAT in January, don't have time to give the course its due time. What are your suggestions?
Making a new post since there were so many comments on the last one! Please comment your discord username to be added to our study group! We have LR game nights and study together all the time! Link to join is below. Comment or dm if you have questions!
Hey 7Sagers,
LSAC has recently unveiled their new writing section, Argumentative Writing. This is the first major change to the writing section since 1982!
How does the new Argumentative Writing section differ from the old writing section, and how should you update your approach? Instructor Alex Jacobs will be leading a session later today to help you hone your LSAT writing skills with an in-class practice prompt.
This class is free to all users! You can register for the session here.
I'm having a hard time wrapping my head around some of these public interest essays (like Root-Tilden, Berk Public Interest Scholars, and general supplemental essays). I can't find a single example anywhere. Has anyone managed to find some?
Does anyone have suggestions on how to approach this? I am not sure if it needs to be a personal story or if I can just talk about my work experience. I'm running out of creative juice.
Does anyone know if I took the LSAT in Oct 2023 and I submitted a writing sample then, do I have to submit a new one everytime I retake? I retook the test last week so im wondering how it works.
TY!!
Is anyone else not able to start their October lsat because of proctor U tech difficulties? They keep telling me to come back in 30 mins, but when I do they tell me to log out again.
if each section of the lsat is 35mins, why are my prep tests 52:30 Mins?
I was able to request accomodations due to ADHD for November LSAT. They allowed me to take 5 minute breaks between sections, sit and stand, allow me to walk and or stretch, and best of all NO EXPERIMENTAL SECTION!! YAYY
I've heard differing things- can you take your own earplugs into the lsat testing center? Thanks!!
I noticed, just by fluke, a written explanation detailing why answers were wrong beneath a video explainer but I can't seem to replicate it on other questions and explanations. Is there only writing on some explanations? I prefer the writing to the video on some questions. Thanks! Example: https://classic.7sage.com/lsat_explanations/lsat-130-section-4-question-16/
