Hey everyone,
So, I studied abroad twice, earning a total of roughly 30 credits. I studied abroad in two different countries with programs administered by two different (U.S. based) organizations The grades I earned studying abroad show up on my transcript and have been factored into my GPA, however, they are still noted to be off-campus programs.
Will my study abroad grades be factored into my LSAC GPA?
Thank you!
So I am learning Logical reasoning through the book "The Loophole". So it says that "Your loophole and resolution have to be powerful" and "Your inference and controversy have to be provable" But then when I got to the Provable question stem section it said that the question stems-- conclusion, NA, Method, Argument part, The flaws-- all used loophole. Can someone please explain this? I don't understand.. because the book initially said that loopholes have to be powerful.
My webcam showed up as mirrored when I test my equipment through proctorU, so when I hold up my ID it’s mirrored. Will this be an issue on test day/ can I fix this? Does anyone have experience with this?
Thanks!
I am currently studying for the November LSAT and I am looking for someone (or several people!) to study together in the NYC area, preferably Manhattan. If anyone is interested, let me know! We can work on the details together to make a schedule that our schedules and study needs!
So I've heard multiple people say that because of the economic state that this coming cycle (open in fall 2023) will be absolutely packed. Does anyone else agree/disagree?
Hi all,
I received another letter of recommendation on LSAC after I had already submitted my report with LSAC. I want to include this letter, but am unsure if LSAC will send it after the report was already sent. Does anyone know if LSAC will send the new letter to the schools I have already applied to? I have not received a decision from any of the schools as of yet.
I started my journey about a year ago, with about a 140 diagnostic. Went to 148, then 150, now 155 on the last April test. My average for the last 10 practice tests I had taken was from 158 - 163. After the 150 test, I made some serious shifts in my mindset, study habits, overall approach to review and drill etc. I was starting to feel so good, intuitive, confident. I seriously thought I was ready.
I need a 160 on the August test - 5 more points - it truly will be my last try for personal reasons I don't want to get into on here. This is 3 months worth. Is this doable?
If so, how? Drill each section for now, review? Or practice tests and then analytics from there and review? 76 75 84 85 91 69 is the ones I have left that I haven't taken or were taken long ago. Is it okay to retake tests already taken and see the comparative improvement? In terms of material, how do I use it to my advantage?
I feel so lost, confused, and this shook my confidence down by a lot. Figuring out technology for 30 min and starting late, starting at a much later time than most of my past tests, and during the third section feeling my brain already fall asleep - these are the factors that come to mind, if that is of any value. I don't mean to sound self - defeatist and I'm aware that my situation isn't necessarily unique, but I truly do feel disappointed and so low after seeing this. I really think I can do better, I'm just feeling down and confused and lost as to how I can specifically execute that.
Any specific study guidance (moving forward in my particular situation), words of wisdom, and genuine advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance for whoever chooses to respond.
Also, here are my analytics from my last 10 practice tests on here:
LR: -5.7 average
LG: -7 average
RC: - 7 average.
I don't understand how I got a 155 on test day and missed that many more points, like I'm truly so confused.
I haven't taken an official test yet or a proctored exam. I'm hoping someone can answer a few questions about what I can and cannot use on the exam.
1 - Can I have my laptop connected to an external monitor?
2 - Can I use a external mouse & keyboard?
Confirming:
Are there any other significant constraints that I need to be aware of?
Where in the stimulus do we find support for the fact that zebra mussels MUST be regarded as hazardous waste if they don't transform the waste products they filter and remove? Answer choices D and E seem really close here.

The "but" in the first section reveals the author's position on Midville: it is not as expensive as others perceive it to be. The following sentences provide support as to why they believe this is true.
Hello everyone. Both test 90 and 91 are from May 2020. What is the difference between them. They are totally different? I mean totally different questions?
I have been reading and hearing a lot that there are patterns to this. Can someone explain to me what that means? I can see how it relates to LG but confused on the patterns for LR.
An assumption I came up with was: "allowing eggs to decay makes it impossible to use them to analyze for pesticide-bird tests"
Would something along those lines be a viable answer for assumption questions?
Can someone show how to quickly translate/diagram this to make sense in the test? I was between B and C and chose c which is wrong. #help

How can you say what accounts for the best possible ice cream? Doesnt this stray too far from the passage? #help

I have 3.5 months to get score from (just over 12 weeks) to go from 150 to 157 - 160 range.
My incorrect answers are somewhat even on each section, but struggling most (conceptually speaking) on logic games, especially with the speed. I can set up most games but have a hard time attacking the questions.
Should I drill the LR question types I have most difficulty with?
Drill reading to improve efficiency / speed?
Is it better to drill drill drill, then take practice test and review and go from there?
Any specific advice would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you.
Hi! Recently started learning about formal logic and it's kicking my butt to be honest. I'm still a little confused on how you even identify a conditional statement (I was going through some of the exercises and was like seriously, this is a conditional statement?).
More importantly, I'm still a little confused about how to deduce sufficient vs necessary conditions. I don't want to rely solely on indicators as LSAT is a test about understanding. If you guys could share your tips/explain, I would appreciate that so much, thanks!!
I was wondering if anyone had a mnemonic they like to use to help remember which indicators belong to each group?
I'm doing some LR drilling right now, and I just wanted to make a discussion post and share my reasoning for a question (as prompted by 7Sage).
C: the glacier that melted to reveal the ancient body is at least 4,000 years old
Reasoning: Artifacts found on the man's body indicate that he lived at least 4,000 years ago, and that he died on the same spot where his body was discovered. Therefore, the glacier - the spot on which he died and was discovered - must be at least 4,000 years old. None of the other answer choices were even close to enticing and were easily eliminated.

I took the October 2022 LSAT and did my writing sample for it. I wanted to redo my writing for my January test but I got caught up in turning applications in by February 1st that I forgot to redo it. January scores are released tomorrow and applications are due, I wanted to know if I retook the writing tomorrow before submitting my apps if it would count?
Could someone please explain this one?

Free will is not applicable in determining responsibility for all situations (its not a one size fit all equation).
We hold criminals responsible bc they cause damage out of free will.
We do not hold drivers (driving while heart attack and cause damage) responsible, even though the heart attack could be prevented from diet (free will).
A. Itself is not a conclusion
BC. Not “Should”
D. Not true
E. Maybe, saying that we do not apply free will equally to all situations (i.e both criminals and drivers under heart attack both stem from free will but they have different outcome).
