UNC is my dream! though, my GPA is somewhat mid i think, sittin pretty at 3.64 and i take the LSAT next weekend. i've been scoring in the low 160s, so i'm anticipating somewhere around there (if i end up with below a 160, i'm retaking- also yes i know i'm likely to do worse on the real deal but i'm being optimistic hehe). if anyone is super familiar with UNC or their admissions office, is it possible for me to get accepted? rather, is it likely? also important to note that i believe my personal statement will be quite strong, as i have quite a bit of writing experience (if that would make much of a difference). thanks!

Hi guys! I am signed up for the August exam. I remember when friends took it this time around last year there were a lot of issues with Proctor U for online administrations. I haven't heard much recently about any issues.

Would love to hear people's more recent experiences from the June exam. :)

Hi all,

Is anyone else having issues with getting kicked out of PrepTests with plenty of time remaining? I've now been kicked out of three PrepTests all with at least 15 minutes remaining in a given section. This has become increasingly frustrating as it's not allowing me to get a valid score or accurately track my progress. If anyone has experienced this, please let me know if you found a solution.

Thank you!

Hey guys! This is probably a pretty obvious question, but I'm just confirming something. I took the LSAT for the first time last September and completed a writing sample for it, as it shows on my LSAC account. I am taking the test again next week, and on the LSAC website listed above my previous writing sample it says that for this upcoming LSAT, I need to complete the writing sample "as soon as possible." To my knowledge, we only need to have one writing sample on file, so I don't need to complete this one as well, right? I'm just confirming so I don't have any issues next week. Thanks! :D

my permanent address will be changing next month but I am trying to request letters of recommendation sooner than that- once i update to my new address the address printed on the request form will be outdated- will that be a problem for my admission process?

Hi everyone! I just switched to 7sage. I am wondering what the difference is with V2. Should I switch to it?

I am also wondering how Practice Tests are scored now that Logical Games are not tested. Is that section still graded in the practice tests on here?

Does anyone know of any resources that resemble the skill builders from the core curriculum, but mix them all up together? Since the skill builders lump all the similar ones in order, I can feel my brain zoning out and not actually learning the drill but instead just copying and pasting the format of the answer.

I am going to make a quizlet that basically mixes all the skill builders from the foundations unit, but figured I'd see if it already exists before I do!

Hi all,

I recently finished the core curriculum’s lessons on logical reasoning and tried my first PT after my diagnostic. My diagnostic was a 150, and my second PT was a 144, after finishing the core curriculum’s lessons on logical reasoning. I tried another PT today and score a 146. Can I increase my score to a 170 by October? I plan to write the lsat in October and should have sufficient time to study, but am worried about the lack of progress. How do I improve my lsat score? Is it just about practicing questions and trying as many as possible?

Thanks in advance

I hope someone knows the answer to this question —

I am currently enrolled in a master's program (at a different school than that which I attended for undergrad), in which I have gotten straight A's. I know that graduate level courses do not count towards the LSAC's calculations of GPA. However, I have taken five undergraduate courses during the course of this program (4 were prerequisites and 1 is an elective language course). Will these undergraduate course grades count towards the calculation of my GPA when applying for law school?

I am currently studying for the November LSAT and I am looking for someone (or several people!) to study together in the NYC area, preferably Manhattan. If anyone is interested, let me know! We can work on the details together to make a schedule that our schedules and study needs!

I’ve been studying for the LSAT exam for a little over two years and I’ve made no progress on the logical reasoning. I always get half right and half wrong, consistently, and most of the time I always get down to two answer choices and most of the time I always choose the wrong answer choice. Before anyone says that I ought to approach this with a memory based effort, my mentality is that I would rather approach it with a critical thinking based effort, because that’s what this exam is measuring. I would rather not shoot myself in the foot all because I decided to memorize each grain of sand on the beach and their names and their elements and their relatives and their language style and their blah blah blah. I just want to learn how to do this exam based on the advice I was already given by some lawyer types, who seem well established, who all said some general advice and were adamant that I should approach it with a critical thinking based effort rather than a memory based effort. So is there at all a tip or method or trick or magic whatever that allows me to look at the question, look at the passage, then look to the answer choices and then somehow go a little bit further in helping me select the correct answer choice?

Hello! If anyone could clarify where I’m misunderstanding, I would be so grateful!

So the diagram for this is: (B - banker, A - athlete, L - lawyer)

B —> A

L—> /B (the contrapositive would be B —> /L)

—

So you can conclude A (—s—) /L (some athletes are not lawyers- which I believe is the right answer.)

Taking the contrapositive of the first statement is where I have some issues:

/A —> /B

L —> /B

—

/A (—s—) L

And since some is bidirectional, it seems wrongly to read like B (some non-athletes are lawyers or some lawyers are non- athletes)?
