When I look up the definition of "once", it works like "when" - a Group 1 Indiciator.

I wanted to start with some statements and let's assume them all true.

  • Call me once he arrives.
  • Once John finishes his homework, he can help Mary.
  • Once the bridge is build, it will take 1 hour of driving from A to B instead of 5 hours around the island. (There is no other way around from A to B. Either you take the original route for 5 hours, or you take the new route by the bridge for only 1 hour.)
  • I will give you some eggs once my farm chicken lays eggs.
  • Once I get home, I will first take a shower.
  • Somehow, I think "once" / "as long as" works the same way as "if and only if".

  • I understand [he arrives -> call me]. Meanwhile, if he ever calls me, I know he must have arrived (call me -> he arrived).
  • John finishes -> help Mary. I know if John ever helps Mary, he must have finished his homework (help Mary -> John finished).
  • Bridge is built -> an hour of driving. I know if it takes an hour from A to B, then it must be from the bridge ( an hour of driving -> bridge).
  • & 5. same
  • Any thoughts are appreciated.

I see that 7sage writes out the Lawgic for the majority of the logical reasoning questions and answer choices, which of course is very helpful in determining the correct answer. Can anyone that has taken the digital lsat before please advise if you are at a disadvantage because you can not write everything out? What was your solution to this?

    Hi everyone,

So, I've been studying for the past month and a half or so and I can't seem to get logical reasoning down. I always, and I mean always, get only 50% of the questions right. The best I have ever done is a -10. I always go back and review what I got wrong, why I got it wrong, and watch every video explanation to the questions I got wrong. Usually it's due to reading errors, rushing, or just overthinking the answer choices. The last time I got 12/26 correct and had a complete mental breakdown. Took a break for one day and did a section just now and got -13.

Anyone have any advice out there if you just can't seem to have any sort of breakthrough on logical reasoning? I feel so demotivated, sad, and almost like giving up. I've read half of Ellen Cassidy's Loophole book and it did help at the start but it feels like nothing sunk in. I'm taking the November test and I'm absolutely panicking.

    Hi,

Is anyone aware of when LSAC will release new PTs and when they will be uploaded on 7Sage subsequently?

Also, are the changes to LG section expected to be applied from 2023 cycle?

    Thank you!

I've been doing a test each week on Khan Academy. I study the PowerScore LSAT Bibles everyday then take a practice test sometime on the weekends.

    Week 1: 147

    Week 2: 151

Week 3: 158 (I hit a high point and I really thought I was getting it)

Week 4: 157 (It wasn't too much of a difference so I wasn't too worried)

    Week 5: 149

I don't understand how I'm getting worse. I don't think it can be fatigue since I'm only taking on test a week. My analytical reasoning got worse from 10 right to 7 right, my Logical Reasoning got worse from 19 right to 15 right, and my Reading comprehension pretty much stayed the same (around 20 right).

I've been really struggling with Logical Reasoning as I'd think I understand the answers then get fooled again every time. And while my reading comprehension has stayed the same, I would really like to get it better.

Has anyone else experienced this and can I get any better than 158 or is that probably the best score I'll get now?

Any advice would be great, thanks!****

I am taking the November test and need advice. I have been consistently studying and even got 2 lessons with a private tutor. I am finding myself making small improvements (finishing RC with better timing, making more confident answer choices, etc.) but am feeling stuck and distressed. LG is my best so I had my tutor help me with LR and RC... he definitely helped me and I am approaching them better but my scores remain the same.

Trying not to spiral (obviously failing at that) but I have a GPA of 3.89 and good softs - I just need this score. I really need to break into at least a 165+ and right now PT'ing between 160-163. I guess I just need advice on how to change my approach or some encouragement to just keep trying because I feel like I exhausted every single option.

How do I tell if I need to pick all the game pieces that could fulfill the given condition, or if I need to select the answer choice that is a valid scenario? For this question (Which one of the following could be all of the solos that are traditional pieces?), I thought I needed to list all the solos that could be traditional pieces, which would be "second, third, fourth, fifth." But that wasn't an answer choice and I got extremely confused. I ended up rereading the game and all the rules a bunch of times and ran out of time for this game. For this question, I believe I simply needed to select the answer that depicts a valid game board. What is the difference between this question and a question that requires listing all possible solos that could be traditional pieces? I often cannot tell apart the wording between these two question types.

    Thanks.

    Hello,

I'm applying to York University which has a Part B to discuss diversity and equity factors. I'm curious to understand how "optional" are these optional statements? Is this something encouraged or would it hurt my chances if I don't choose to write one?

    Thanks!

Was wondering if there is a breakdown of the average number of LR questions by question type? The LSAT Trainer book has a page that shows how many of each category is “normally” on each exam. however the categories dont match perfectly with the 7sage curriculum. I figured 7sage must have a breakdown so that we know which categories will have 5-10 questions, and which will have 0-2.

Hey everyone. I hope you all are doing well. I wanted to offer help for any students currently scoring under a 155 on their practice exams or are new and in need of assistance. I am pretty consistently scoring 165+ but I think it would help me to offer assistance in explaining questions and offering strategies to others. Pretty casual and of course no charge, so feel free to pm me. Thanks.

Hi two questions regarding my GPA for my applications, all help is greatly appreciated thank you!

First - should I put my GPA on my resume? and if so, should I put the LSAC CAS one or my academic GPA, or both with labels?

My LSAC CAS gpa is 0.03 higher than my academic one from my undergraduate school, so not much of a difference, but for some schools the LSAC one is above median and the academic one is below the median.

Secondly - in the the academic section of some schools application it asks for GPA, so for this, which one should I put or should I put both with labels?

I was admitted to UVA Law this morning and I am 100% certain I would not have accomplished that without the help of 7Sage for both the LSAT and admissions prep. I took my LSAT from a 163 diagnostic to a 174 in August and read everything I could about writing the PS, DS, and addenda. I'm so grateful for this resource and encourage everyone to take full advantage of it!!!

Heed my story as a brief word of caution that could save you some frustration in the future.

When you begin the LSAT writing section, do yourself a favor and flick over to the ProctorU Owl tab that manages your recording and ensure the microphone it's using is set to the correct device. You can do this before opening the reading prompt itself during the pre-check when you hold up an I.D. and take a photo of yourself. The writing sample is self-proctored and does not give you a prompt to check your audio settings. The most it does is flick over to that tab I mentioned to ask what window you want to share (in Chrome, not sure how it looks in Mozilla), but once you hit OK it goes back to the test. Unless you know what you're doing, you'll miss the chance to tweak audio settings.

    Storytime:

I have a handful of mics I use for different tasks (Zoom meetings vs. casual PC game nights with pals vs. speaking without a headset on) and sometimes software searching for a mic to record on my computer can become confused by the volume of options. I made the error during my LSAT writing sample of assuming because they were using my webcam to record video, then it would also be recording audio (JY if you read this, don't publicly shame my logical mistake). As you may well know, the writing section is self-proctored, there isn't another human there to say "I can't hear you." So, I went on my merry way, silently crafting a response to the prompt.

I just got an email today asking me to re-take the writing section because my submission did not have any audio due to their software choosing to record an incorrect audio input - in fact, what their software decided to record wasn't even a mic at all. It was a piece of software I use to filter my mic audio output.

If I had been shown the audio input screen more clearly, more deliberately, I would have caught this error immediately and prevented myself from having to take the section twice. When I retook the section today, I found the ProctorU device management screen and manually changed it to my webcam for both video and audio recording. I'm praying this works, otherwise I will be a unhappy camper.

I work full time and have been studying since spring of this year. Since I work, my pace is much slower than ideal (10-15 hours per week).

I need a pretty solid LSAT score since my GPA was like a 3.5 so I keep pushing my test date back. I may apply this year but keep thinking about pushing to next year to give myself better room to study. I am signed up for November but will see how I progress in the next few weeks of studying.

However, I get nervous thinking about waiting a year if large changes by LSAC are coming to logical games. Worried about the sunk cost of studying for something that may get taken off.

Are there any updates on when LSAC is planning on the change? What is the general consensus?

    Thank you

Please no sarcastic answers. I did it once and forgot what I did and have stuff in personal life so had to take a break just looking for help. when I "stimulate" modern with a test, it gives me 3 sections. How can I stimulate to get lsat flex score (3 sections graded) but still take 4 section test? does this make sense? I did it for my first pt on here so I know its possible but I forgot what I did? Step by step would be much appreciated.

    Thank you so much!

I have been studying on and off for 2 years. This the first time I been consistent with studying. I have basically finished the 7sage curriculum. I have started taking practice exams every Saturday. My actual score is low but my blind review’s are 10+ points higher. I been thinking about moving it up to 2 practice exams a week. But, I am not scoring consistently where I want and I don’t want to burn through my testing material. Some days I am getting questions right in the 170s and some days I kiss questions in the low 150s. I think I been studying too long my brain is full of material. I am scheduled to take the November and January LSAT. I plan to apply this application cycle and don’t want to push off applying another year. What should I do?

My performance depends HIGHLY on my focus level. When I'm in the zone, I do so much better than when I do not. Sometimes when I study constantly, everyday, I lose focus and even though I try to sit down and study, I simply cannot. I even take so much longer reading and understanding the stimulus. Then I start doubting that studying when I'm not 100% focused is just waste of time (and waste of PTs too). I'm so worried because I can't control how to bring myself to "get in the zone." And it gets worse when I start getting so many questions wrong– I lose motivation. Even when I'm taking a rest, I feel like I should be studying, so I force myself to solve questions, get everything wrong, depressed, then it's a cycle. Sometimes I decide to refresh, study tomorrow, but when tomorrow comes, I can't. I feel so dumb right now. What should I do ??
