Hi all, so I noticed that some PTs are labeled with letters (PTB, PTC, PTC2). Is there anything special about these practice tests, such as experimental sections, or questions that were tossed out on them? Just curious why these PTs were labeled with letters instead of being regularly numbered like the other PTs. Are they good tests to use to gauge my scores?

Hi everyone! After hitting 170-176 on a few PTs, I saw my scores drop back down to high-mid 160s. Last Saturday, I got 5 and 6 wrong on LR when I usually only get 1-3 wrong! A lot of the questions I missed were 1-2 star questions I usually never miss. I have a feeling I'm getting too much in my own head, and I was wondering if anyone has advice on how to deal with this. I am taking the October LSAT and I'm trying really hard not to freak out!

Hello everyone. Basically, I’m looking to see how to approach short RC passages as in passages that have around 5 or maybe 6 questions at most. In my experience, these passages are usually the first to come up in any given section, tend to be on the easier side, and seem like they can be completed in 6-7 minutes maybe 8 at most. However, as someone who struggles reading all 4 passages and often can’t finish the 4th, I need help with how to approach these passages with fewer questions.

Should I focus on completing these types of passages with less questions first in hopes of getting a likely 5-6 extra correct answers given the easier nature of these passages? Or should I skip it and move on to the passages that have more questions but are likely harder which can lead to more incorrect answers?

I hope this makes sense! My October LSAT is quickly approaching and I’m just looking for some last minute refinements to maybe score better on RC given that timing is my #1 enemy in RC. Thanks!

I'm in need of some advice. I initially took the LSAT in February 2020. I had no knowledge of the test and received some poor advice that I should take it blindly and see what I get. I scored a 142. I knew that I needed to retake it. I studied for some time, and in October 2021 I retook it. I cancelled the score because I didn't feel good about it. Then I took November 2021 and scored a 152. I was happy with the increase, but it was still not near my goal of 165+ so I decided to take another year to study. This time, I took the September 2022 test and only scored a 156. After what feels like forever studying for this test, I did not get as close to the score range I was PTing. I feel like I have screwed myself because of my previous takes. I know law schools frown upon taking the test over 3-4 times. I'm not sure what to do next.

To sum it up: (142 > Cancel > 152 > 156)

I have a good GPA, nothing that will compensate for a poor LSAT but it's still decent. I'm not interested in any T14 schools, most I have looked into are in the 25-50 range, which I know my score is still on the low end for. I cannot take another gap year to study. I plan on applying this month and November, so my options would be to apply to schools now to get my applications in, and take either January or February 2023, or totally roll the dice applying earlyish with a 156. I have ADHD, and I've struggled with this test both mentally and emotionally and I'm not sure if it would be worth it to take a 5th time. If you can offer me any sort of guidance I will be grateful! Thanks for taking the time to read this!

I'm working through some LR drills and going over my wrong answers, but can't seem to find video explanations for PT 3 Section 4, PT 15 Section 2, and PT A Section 4. Any ideas on where I can find them? I looked under the explanation videos tab and was able to find PT 3, but couldn't get videos for section 4 specifically. Same goes for the other PT videos I'm looking for :\

I noticed that some people use the wrong answer journal.

Do you find it useful?

I'd love to try it but do not know where to start.

It would be a huge help if you can share the document if there is any!

Hello!

My name is Kim and I'm looking for a study group/partner. I'm in my early stages of studying but was wondering if anyone would be interested in a study partner/group. I don't have much friends who are also pursuing law so I thought I'd reach out here! I'm aiming to take the February or March LSAT but am open to studying with anyone at any point in their journey. I'm mostly looking for someone to talk about our study progress with alongside actually studying with them. I like doing work at cafes or libraries around Toronto and am looking for someone to go and be productive with! I also think it's important to have people that I can regularly talk about the LSAT with (online and in-person) so I can hold myself more accountable. So... I guess what I'm trying to say is that if you're looking for an LSAT friend in Toronto, please reach out!

Hi, does anyone have any tips that really helped them improve logic games. I have been working on improving on it for it while and I can't seem to get majority of them right in a section. I am taking the LSAT in November and really want to improve since I have less than 5 weeks.

I'm scoring in the low 160s and I want to maximize my score as much possible in the next 5 weeks.o I will be studying full time,8 hours every single day, tapering down as the test gets closer.

Just wanted to know what other peoples plan of attack is? Also if anyone wants a study buddy/study group for this test please let me know. I'm planning on studying from 4am PST to 8amPST and then from 2pm PST to 6pm PST every day.

Good luck to everyone else taking the November LSAT!

Hi all,

This last week has been a bit sobering. Got the Sep LSAT score back only for it to stay the same from my Jan score. My PT avg was in the 168-170 range, and I know 166 is a great score, but not improving after months of studying was a blow. Anyways, my main reason for posting is, I have applications ready to go for certain schools; namely Fordham, Boston College, UNC, and George Washington. I have a couple great rec letters and a personal statement that may move the needle as well as T2-3ish softs. Can I go ahead and apply with my current stats? Or should I venture to take another (and fifth) LSAT as much as that gives me heartburn?

Thanks everyone, and wherever you are on this journey, I wish you the best of luck!

Anyone else having trouble studying out of pure anxiety? Every time I go to drill or even just sit down to rewatch the CC I feel so much anxiety knowing that I have to take the real thing in November, and I feel no where near ready and I feel like I won't be ready even though there's still plenty of time to hone in on the things I've been struggling with in all sections. If anyone has any tips on overcoming this I would really appreciate it!

Does anyone have any suggestions on how to work on Necessary Assumption questions. I have tried to use the Must Be True method but it is not working for me or I am not understanding the stimulus. I have tried Negation s test but I am very bad at them and do not know how to improve on how to use them. Does anyone know if there is another method that has worked for them or if there is a drill I missed that can help me hone in on these skills.

I submitted my transcript on August 30th and it has yet to be processed. It still says "transcript not processed" online. Should I resubmit my transcript or contact LSAC? Or are others experiencing similar delays?

I signed into ProctorU right on the dot at noon ET on Sept 29 to sign up (as soon as we got that email), but NONE of the slots were available.

I'm in the queue to chat with someone from ProctorU, but I was wondering if this is just a technical error on my side or if others were having the same problem...

LR Advice

I am having some major difficulty with LR. I started studying seriously in late July/August with a diagnostic of 158. RC I am pretty good with averaging a -2. LG and LR were my problems with basically -10 in both. I grinded LG for a month and got that down to consistently -0. I got my LR in the range of -4 and -8, but I'm just having consistent LR problems. I took the September exam, got a 168 and I am taking the November test. In the next month I am going to be focusing almost entirely on LR, and I am looking for any tips on improvement there since I have been very inconsistent and almost stagnant. I am hoping I can improve in LR at the same rate as LG. Is it unrealistic for me to break into the 175+ range for November?
