Hi everyone,

I wanted to share a little context and also ask for advice from anyone who has navigated LSAT prep with ADHD.

I recently realized/was diagnosed with ADHD, and looking back, it explains a lot about my first LSAT experience. I took the LSAT in November 2024, before I fully understood how my brain works, and after that test I took a break. I’m now starting back with a clearer understanding of myself and a more intentional approach to studying.

One thing I’m already noticing is that familiarity and structure make a huge difference for me. When the test feels unfamiliar, my focus drops quickly, but when I understand the question types and patterns, my attention improves a lot. I’m planning to follow the 7Sage study guide closely and really focus on mastering fundamentals rather than rushing.

For those of you with ADHD (or who’ve found strategies that help with focus and consistency), I’d love to hear:

  • What study habits or routines helped you the most?

  • Did you find drilling vs. full sections more effective early on?

  • How did you manage timing, burnout, or mental fatigue?

  • Any mindset shifts that made prep feel more manageable?

I really appreciate any insights you’re willing to share. Thanks in advance — it helps a lot to learn from people who’ve been through this.

Best of luck to everyone studying!

LSAT Resume

Hi, just curious, I have a school asking for a Statement of Purpose, which is different from a Personal Statement, right? The wording is different, so I just wanted to be sure they are both two different types of statements. Thanks!

LSAT January

I think I am asking a dumb question. but anyways,

First time taking the LSAT, I have my exam scheduled for 1/10 at 3pm. My question is, do I login to Lawhub at 3pm sharp so should I login and start the check in process 10-15 min early? I dont know how it works. Because I am assuming it will take at least 15 min for the check in process, so my test will be delayed 15 min and I won't start at 3pm technically????

I went to sign into the proctored exam this morning and both of my pieces of technology were not allowing me to use the Prometric app. I went through Prometric and LSAC. I asked to retake the exam for the end of the month.

Has anyone else run into this? How did you handle it?

First Test!

About to do my first test. Trying to be positive but the last two days of review I feel like I suddenly just forgot everything.

🥹 Emotional

I'm actually going to miss studying

I'm taking my final attempt at the LSAT tomorrow and I'm oddly emotional about it. My last admin was in October, it didn't go well, so I was in a really bad slump where I genuinely thought I was dumb, a terrible student, etc.

Eventually I picked myself up and starting drilling here, attending the live classes, asking questions, etc. and things got a little better. I also remembered to rest every now and then, as I had a problem with really overworking myself to the point of burnout.

Believe it or not, resting actually helped a lot, and I enjoyed studying. I loved the classes on here, all the teachers here are amazing, and yeah.

Whatever happens tomorrow, happens, but I'm grateful for all the ppl on here and the wonderful teachers that helped out.

leisure reading before rc as a warm up

hey guys. just curious here--im wondering if anyone else like to read a chapter of a book etc before they do lsat practice, esp rc? when i was studying for the lsat i found that doing this beforehand helped me warm up when practicing rc. is this the same case for anyone else?

im retaking the lsat tomorrow and i haven't done any intense drilling today, just review of some concepts i struggle with. i read a bit of non fiction etc to help me prepare for dissecting tomorrow's rc passages. im mainly trying to relax today while also getting ready for tomorrow lol

I’m not sure if this has already been asked, but I was wondering how to gauge where I stand now that Logic Games are no longer required. Since all previous PTs include a Logic Games section, how should I take a PT and grade myself accurately?

😖 Frustrated

Bad test day experience-need advice

Basically laptop died because although it was plugged into the charger I didn’t realize the power outlet I was using was defective(it randomly stopped working).

I have 3 options if my complaint is approved

1)don’t cancel score+preview(I was in section 4 question 10 when it shut down so I would be missing a lot of points, however there is a good chance it was an experimental section. My performance on the other sections was mid, I don’t expect a score higher than 156-158 if it was experimental. Obviously much lower if it wasn’t)

2)Retest on Jan 21. This is probably the worst option because instead of getting my results late Jan I would probably get them mid Feb which would be very late for law schools apps.

3)Pick any available test date. I think this might be the best option. I can pick a later date, have lots of time to improve my score, and apply next cycle.

Thoughts?

Hi everyone! I just started studying in December and planning to take the June LSAT. I started utilizing the study plan 7Sage came up for me, but now I am worried that once I go through the theory of LR and RC that I won't have enough time for PTs and drills. What study plan does everyone use (ex: comprehensive, balanced, etc.) and how do you recommend splitting up your time?

Lsat day struggles?

Hey guys, I took my first LSAT yesterday and I feel like I genuinely flunked so bad. I've been scoring consistent 160s in PTs with my highest being 171, but my brain felt soo slow taking the real test and I know I didn't do so good. I worked really hard to manage my anxiety going into the test but I still just felt stressed and slow. I'm taking the LSAT again in Feb and I'm wondering what are some ways I can practice doing the test under stress? Maybe like try and convince myself each practice is the real thing? Have someone there yelling at me stressing me out? Idk but I need to be better otherwise I'm definitely flunking Feb too, let me know if you guys experienced this and if anything helped

I am not understanding JY’s (or any other online) explanation as to why the answer is A. I’m not understanding how he gets from “If important AND well written then published therefore If important then published.”

Is the idea that importance implies that it also well written?? Or is it that the “and” there is really functioning as an “or”? If it’s functioning as an “or”, why? Thanks in advance!

Hey everyone, I just got my first admissions response and I'm a bit confused. I applied to Wake Forest with a 4.0 and a 170. I think my softs are pretty alright as well. I did a teaching assistant position in a program managed by Fulbright Austria, I interned with the U.S. Congress and the Brookings Institution. And I currently work a full time job at a community college helping student navigate our higher ed system.

I got my first admissions decision - waitlisted a Wake Forst (LSAT Median 166, GPA 3.8). I'm a bit concerned about my application prospects now. I'm wondering 1) if this is because the high amount of applicants? 2) if perhaps my application is magically much weaker than I thought? Or 3) if this is yield protection.

Does anyone have any insight or thoughts. Thanks in advance.

TLDR - I got waitlisted at Wake Forest, a school that should have been a decent safety. What's going on?

Hey y'all, I finished sitting my LSAT today, I think I did well, but I found that time was taken away from me because the proctor was speaking loudly inside the testing room.

The official time to begin was 8am, but we were allowed a staggered start, so those who came in at 7.30am were allowed to start at 7.30am, and I believe someone people were allowed to come in later too after 8am. So there was people coming in during the time I was completing the first two sections. The proctor was bringing people into the room and talking to them in her normal speaking voice (not whispering) and providing instructions. I could hear her through my noise cancelling earmuffs provided by the centre.

I had to re-read a few stims 2 or 3 times because her speaking loudly interfered with my thinking process, so I lost time that way. I still managed to finish and complete all the questions, but I dont think she should have been talking loudly like that at all - also the staggered entry was weird too, is that how its normally done at testing centres? During the 10 min break, I went to the ladies at reception and asked them to advice the proctor to use her inside voice or whisper, and they said she will. But she was just as loud and interruptive for the last 3 sections as she was for the first two.

If all of the above is normal of testing centres I would have just taken the test at home.

Yearning for a better Dark Mode

I know I’m not the only one! This feels like a table stakes feature that’s missing. Competitor apps default to dark mode and it’s so much easier on the eyes. I know it’s currently an experimental feature, but I’d love to see this prioritized. There’s no reason for the diagram PNGs to be completely illegible on dark mode.

Hey- do y’all find the phone app kinda hard to use?

I really wanna use it bc I’m working full time and wanna get some practice here and there but every time I open it, the app lags until I exit the app and restart.

Has anyone else found a solution or is this just a problem with my phone?
