Hi everyone!

Was wondering about the extent to which essays forming part of one's application have to be re-done in respect of re-applications. I did engage a consultant last time around and submitted my applications with a full suite of school-specific/optional essays, and would prefer to minimize the amount of re-work I have to do, this cycle. I am given to understand that: (a) applications of re-applicants are attached with their prior applications while being reviewed by admissions committees; and (b) it is advisable to re-write at least one's personal statement. Would love to hear your thoughts on this.

I'm hoping to apply with an LSAT score in the early to mid 170s to the T-14. I'm taking the January LSAT. Depending on how it goes, I might consider deferring to the next admissions cycle (though I'm strongly averse to doing that for a variety of reasons). If I do score above the 75th percentile of the schools to which I apply, would it be worth applying this cycle, with rewritten essays (to the extent required)?

Many thanks in advance!

I took the October LSAT and scored about 5 points lower than my PT's. I know I can get into a law school with the score I received and my high GPA however, I've decided to take the test again in January. Any advice? I struggle the most with logic games and I become frustrated because I feel like it will never click for me. How should I go about studying this time around? Do I go through the curriculum all over again? I'm feeling super discouraged. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

thought I'd share some self-affirmations with those taking the Flex this weekend:

I've studied hard and worked diligently and persevered in spite of setbacks, and I will continue to push forward because I am capable and I have a strong grasp of the fundamentals.

I am in control of the LSAT. I am the pilot of this plane.

I am calm and I am collected.

I have tremendous potential to excel and I am confident in my own skills.

I have faith in me. I believe in myself.

I deserve kindness and gentleness and I will take care of myself no matter what happens.

I have a bright future ahead of me and I am excited for it.

I am ready for my future.

I had applied to a couple of schools and one of them changed my application status to “incomplete.” I have one LSAT score already and they made a note that it is incomplete because I am retaking the LSAT in November. I know my application will not be reviewed until the status is “complete” and I am

assuming that the fact that they would not review it yet means that I probably would not have gotten in with my current LSAT score? Is it worth reaching out to admissions? Does my incomplete application status essentially mean it was pointless to submit my application early?

I saw this on some LSAT prep book:

Question: for example in a mistake necessary as sufficient question,

Premise: If A then B.

Conclusion: B therefore A.

Given two answer choices

  • If A then B, and if B then C.
  • C, therefore A.

  • if A then B, not A, therefore not B.
  • Should we choose the one with additional premise or the one with contrapositive conclusion?

Flex or full time law school

I want to go to flex law school (part-time online) because I am in my 30s and already had an phd degree. But I heard law firms usually do not want hire a lawyer with a part-time law degree. They won't treat my flex JD seriously.

Hi, I was curious if anyone had any 7sage videos that they would suggest someone scoring mid 150's should re-watch in the couple of weeks leading to the November test. Any videos that you think explain something often forgotten or gave you a feeling of clarity would be appreciated!

    Thank!

I worked really hard to perfect LG and I thought that I had arrived when I had a few weeks when my LG performance dropped to -0 or, at worst, -1. When that happened, I kept practising and did not become complacent. I knew not to always expect -0.

But what I didn’t expect was to almost forget how to do the games. I started going -4, -5; and that week’s PT was -10.

I don’t know what to do. Is this kind of regression normal? Am I overthinking things?

Hi there, for those who have already gone through the process - I am going through the CC in the order it is presented. I am just going through the drills untimed for now so I can understand the material. Should I supplement the CC material for Logic Games with any other book? If so, please recommend the reading material.

Once I am done with the CC for logic games, then I should full proof games from PT1-35 - Any additional steps to take to ensure better learning? - Kindly guide.

    Hello everyone,

Because my CAS GPA (3.12) is so different from my GPA from my university (3.69), I will be needing to attach an addendum. The culprit behind this difference are my grades from community college. Putting it bluntly, I was still very much a child and I had not yet learned how to be a proper student, and although I had retaken the GPA sinking classes with my worst grades in community college, it still looks dreadful on my transcript. My grades from the university I later transferred to are very good and speak for themselves. and I never even got a C!

I'm wondering if anybody else has a similar dynamic going on, and what's the best approach this on the addendum. I don't want it to sound like a list of excuses, but neither of my parents went to college and I didn't even learn what a GPA was until I was placed on Academic Warning, I was forced to move out at 18 and worked, and as I mentioned before, it took me some time before I caught my rhythm.

No more fresh PTs - help

I've been studying for this test for the past 2 years and have taken it 3 times already (154 -> 156 -> 164). The score I got yesterday is 164 and I want to take the Jan test to increase my chances for some of the schools. Does anyone have advice on how to improve your score if you have no more fresh PTs left?

I've went through PT's until 80 twice, and 80-90 once. I definitely remembered some answers when I was studying for the Oct test tho, so I'm not sure what I can do to improve. I can definitely perfect my LG and maybe my LR by drilling Qs, but RC will be tough to improve on since I remember every single freaking passage lol.

ps. my best section is LG, worst is RC

    Hey Ya'll,

I had been PT'ing in at my goal score for the month of October (over an average on about 5 tests and numerous individual sections), and had been getting pretty solid section splits. I took one practice test last week, and dropped by 5 points, and now I'm getting a few bad section scores, especially on RC. My rational mind is wondering if this is nerves, burnout, or exhaustion. My inner critic, though, is telling me that maybe I don't have the skills after all, and that I've been getting lucky the past month. Does anyone have any advice or experience with why this might be happening, and how to make sure this doesn't happen on test day?

For context, I've been averaging about -2 or -3 on LR, and -4 or -5 on RC. Last few sections have of RC have been especially rough (-10, -8, -4, and -6).

    LSAT Admissions Question

Ok so I'm planning on applying to schools this cycle with the LSAT I have on file from October, however I am also retaking in January. If I get accepted to a law school, and then my January Lsat comes back, can I leverage the hopefully higher LSAT score for scholarship money even though I would already be admitted?

    Can I pause 7sage?

I just canceled my month by month subscription for next month, but if I wanted to start again later, will my data be saved or am I starting new?

    7sage advice

If the people who record the videos for 7sage can read this...omg please speak slower and not so close to the microphone lol! It's like you combine one word and make it into three because you want to get the questions over with. And saying "this is a really easy game...".........yes, it is easy for you because you are teaching it...we are learning it so it may not be easy for some yet.

Maybe it's just me who feels this way...but whew.

Was averaging 168 a month out before the October exam and got a 158, worse than any PT I had taken after September began. I quickly cancelled since I was lucky enough to buy score preview, but I am very humbled right now. Going to keep working hard for November and possibly January for my goal score of 170, but I'm fighting inner dialogue that I'm not capable of reaching my goal. For any of you who underperformed in this iteration: I genuinely empathize with you and am sorry that you're going through the motions of processing that right now. We just have to stay true to the grind, take care of ourselves, and live to see another LSAT :)

    LSAT Writing

Hi all, for those who have already taken the test, do you recommend taking the LSAT Writing Test before the regular test or after? I can see pros and cons to both options!

    0

Hello! I am in need of some advice. I have taken the LSAT twice and most recently got a 159 on the October LSAT. While this is not the score I wanted, it is the score that has been officially sent to schools which I applied to in early October. I have a 3.8 GPA so I am split for several schools.

Does it make sense to leave my applications as is with the 159 on file or do I retake the January 2022 LSAT and ask for admissions to wait and review my application then?

(Unfortunately I am unable to take the Nov. LSAT as the test dates interfere with a prior personal commitment so I either keep my 159 or wait until January 2022). Any thoughts and advice would be greatly appreciated.

I just couldn't anticipate the flaws with either of these questions and would like to know how people who got these correct went about doing them. My pre-phase going into the answer choices was that there wasn't a perfect correlation in the premises and so the author is incorrectly concluding that therefore there was no causal relationship. Is this the correct pre-phase? Is there a better one?

    How to improve RC?

I did pretty well on RC of old tests (usually -1 to -3), but on the newer PTs, I've been going -5 to -7. I'm taking the October LSAT and the RC of recent tests have me worried... does anyone have any advice on how to improve on the newer RC sections? #help
