If you have received your score for the your LSAT FLEX - can you please advise if it was close to your PTing average ?

I completed my diagnostic - got a 154 and 158 after blind review - but did it under "FLEX simulator". A bit concerned regarding the accuracy of my score since no one is sure how the LSAC will be scoring the FLEX. I plan on taking FLEX in Feb.

I know I can just do all 4 sections to get an accurate score but am curious on those who received their FLEX score , how close their official score was to their FLEX PTing avg.

Does it take a while after a recommender uploads a letter for it to show up as received on LSAC? I'm getting worried because my recommenders said they would upload them weeks ago but it still says "requested but not acknowledged by recommender" and 0 letters received

Greetings,

I'm taking the November LSAT FLEX on Wednesday. Originally my score was at 141but my score gradually increased over the passed couple of months. I've been stuck at 153 since the end of September, however, I have a strong feeling that I would be able to score higher if I learned to became more comfortable with the time constraints. I went from taking prep test every week to almost everyday along with other forms of timed and mastery practice. I am a person who in general has issues with anxiety. I am currently three days away from taking my LSAT test and I am experiencing a major reoccurring problem. For the past two weeks, I've been experiencing the inability to finish my test due to panic. I usually start to become frustrated and unfocused to the point where I'm unable to regain my focus enough to answer the remaining questions ( I was not experiencing this problem up until the last week of October).

I'm not sure if I'm burnt out to the point where it escalating my anxiety or if it's another underlying reason. I am hoping I can receive advice on what I should do from this point.#HELP

Hi! Of course, night before my test... my webcam crapped out (because why would I have a stress free experience anyways?) I bought a new one, and now it is saying that the webcam height and width can not be found. Does anyone have the fix for this?

EDIT- just went and got a different one that works. Not messing around haha

Also of note, the released form (of which there were several - IIRC 16 of them but don't quote me) of the May Flex ended up being a -9 curve, BUT there was at least some indication that the released scale might have been composed after the release... which kind of makes one wonder if a different method was used on the actual test.

2 years ago, I applied to a T14 school and was rejected. At the time, my GPA was at their median, and my LSAT was below their 25th percentile. Now, I have improved my LSAT score to exactly the median score. My personal statement, résumé, and letters of recommendation are very strong. Since my waitlist two years ago, I have made very solid advances in my career.

Do I have to re-work my entire application? Submit an entirely new personal statement? Write an addendum? Can I submit the same application with an updated résumé? Any advice is appreciated.

I take the LSAT Monday so I no longer need my 7Sage Ultimate plan. However, I would like to review what I’ve done until Monday. Does anyone know what happens when you cancel? Will all of my progress and information be wiped away?

My downstair apartment was always vacant, the university reserved it as a temporary quarantine housing for students. Unfortunately, right after my LSAT started this afternoon, I heard loud TV noise downstairs, cheering and laughing. (I guess it might be the media coverage for Biden victory.)

That was really distracting as I couldn't concentrate on the test. I can read but cannot understand stimuli. I flagged 10 questions on LR (usually 2-3 flagged questions during PTs), and had no clues for the RC section.

I have to say the timing was "perfect", no noise during my test check-in, and just right after my first session began, the TV was turned on. (I can no longer leave the room at that time) If I had known someone moved in and the insulation was that bad, I would have politely asked my neighbor to lower the volume.

My decision is to cancel the score (I have my August score on hand). In my situation, is this a reasonable reason for cancellation? Do I need to provide an addendum for this? As I once read on the forum, that admission officers would not flag a single cancellation, they would just assume something bad happened.

my test was LR-RC-LG, LG was quite normal, sorry I cannot assess the difficulties for LR and RC, as I was not at the test during these two sections. LOL

GOOD LUCK on your FLEX exam and remember to check with neighbors if necessary.

With students taking the November examas early as tomorrow, I encourage you to make time to "warm up" before you start your exam.

The purpose is to get you in the "mode," and get any "kinks" out before the actual exam. Ideally we want to trigger muscle memory so you're in the zone as soon as you start the first exam question (rather than finding your footing after a few questions).

Here's my prescription for warming up. The key idea is EASY - you don't want to run the marathon before the marathon - you want to do light stuff to get the blood flowing and get yourself in the zone:

2-5 EASY LR questions

Annotate an EASY RC passage (Don't worry about the questions if you don't have time - it's just a warm up).

Set Up for an Easy Game and make those Inferences! (Again - Don't worry about the questions if you don't have time - it's just a warm up).

It's fine if you want to use material you've done before, it's just about getting you in "LSAT Mode."

Also, feel free to do this on PTs - you may see a difference.

Its time. We are all freaking out but trust yourself. You've done the work and know what to do. LR: You've done every question type multiple times and know how to I.D and Breakdown the stimulus and find that damn answer! LG... dont you dare throw me something crazy LSAT CREATORS! RC Give me those engaging sexy topics please!

OH well, good luck everyone. BTW is January LSAT too late to apply? No! Dont think this way. You got THIS ONE!

I had LR - RC - LG.

LR was mixed for me, honestly felt like a blur, wouldn't be surprised if -3 or -6. RC felt pretty okay. LG though...I miswrote my diagram in game 3 and didn't have enough time to solve game 4 and ended up guessing on more than 7 questions for LG...

I took my first LSAT in august and got a 162. PT average has been around 164 (I usually get less than 3 wrong in LG...).

I'm aiming to hit 170 by January and apply to T14 next cycle. I feel like this November one might come back with a really low score, so I'm scared...should I cancel? What do 7Sagers recommend?

I'm taking the Flex tomorrow, but when I sat for the July Flex my Proctor said I could use the restroom in those 60 second breaks. Has anyone else had a Proctor say this?

Hey all! Hope everyone is doing well.

I took the LSAT-Flex in August and during my session my proctor took control of my laptop for a while and did some stuff. I didn't pay attention. Going into law because I can't technology.

Now, I can't take screenshots with my laptop or use video on Zoom.

Does anyone know how I fix these issues? I have an 11 year old MacBook Pro.

Thanks in advance!! (3(/p)

Hi Friends,

I'm taking the test tomorrow. I know we are allowed to have 5 sheets of lined/unlined paper...

Does anyone know if we are allowed to have paper where the lines are numbered, or if it has to be blank?

Thank you and good luck to everyone! :)

Taking the November test and was wondering if we can have our laptop chargers nearby? I don't want it plugged in because my laptop will get too hot but was just wondering if people had theirs nearby when they wrote.

If anyone needs help on LG let me know! I got a 167 on October and I’ve been helping people for about 2 months now!

Hey everyone,

Duke Law's personal statement prompt says to mention your "personal and career ambitions," but in my "Why Law, Why Duke" optional essay, I go into detail about my career ambitions. I don't want to repeat myself (Duke specifically says not to do this), but I also don't want it to seem like I'm not following their directions... Does anyone else who has applied to Duke/gotten accepted have any insight on this? Thanks in advance!!

Hi,

I bombed my October LSAT and I thought I did so well. I planned on submitting my applications as soon as I received that score and was so discouraged when I saw me score. I am going to take the January exam and hope for the best.

I've talked to admissions counselors and they said that it's okay to apply with the January score but I don't know if they're just saying that. Is it better to wait to submit during the next cycle or take a leap of faith and submit as soon as I get my January score?

(I have really great softs and a good GPA (also URM))
