HELP hahahhaah I took the lsat writing a week ago. I have tendencies to be a bit dyslexic when I am nervous........ so the whole time I am calling the main person in the prompt CLARA and today when my writing got approved I looked at the prompt again and her name is CARLA!!!!!!!!

I am dying inside from OMG what do I do but also..... it is pretty funny. Like it's not the biggest deal in the world, I have strong writing and could take it again, but wouldn't this one stay on file? I could write an addendum on my application?? Any advice?

I’m a new 7Sage user. Been studying for the exam for a while and recently took a PT today where I scored a 161 but a 170 for BR.

How much should I read into this? I’ve been in low-160’s long time but this is personal high for a BR score.

I know it’s not the real score but wondering how one should read into it and what it represents?

Do any previous LSAT takers have any tips for things to do day before the exam? I was planning on taking one lat practice exam around the time my exam is scheduled fro the following day, casually BR and then calling it a day. Any tips?

Hey all,

I've been preparing for my second LSAT, taking a practice test each day. For a while now, my PTs have been around 167-169, with the occasional odd ball (164/165, 170/171, etc.). However, today, upon taking PT 70, I was gifted with a 176. Is this test unusually easy? I took part in a study session yesterday that taught me some helpful tricks for LG, as I normally get the first three sections all correct, but don't have enough time to finish section 4, but did not have this issue today. While I'd love to say this is me using the new strategies, I find it hard to believe I grew this much this quickly from the singular event. I'm just trying to figure out why I had the sudden jump in points.

Thanks,

Hunter

After a long horrendous journey of waiting for my writing sample to be approved to receiving a score 6 points lower than my PT average, I feel like sh*t lol In hindsight, I know this is my first score and it's not completely terrible... however, I am just super disappointed in myself. I came out of the August exam feeling pretty decent about it and thankful that I didn't have any proctoring issues. I was hoping that feeling of calm meant that I performed well and would get a score within my PT range.. so I guess I am just in shock. I really want to dive back in and start studying again, but I just don't think I have the mental strength to do so right now. I think I am mainly upset because this test has really taken so much out of me mentally and emotionally over the past year or so that I was really hoping this exam would be my ticket to freedom so to speak. I really wanted to close this chapter of my legal journey and move on, but I feel so stuck now. I am signed up for November so I know I have a second shot at it, but it also feels like my final shot at this coming application cycle. Any advice on how to move forward? I feel so defeated

Hey,

Just an observation I've had. My logic games prep has been really focused on 1-35 with some 40s and recently some low 50s mixed in.

I've been working very hard on these earlier games for about 2 months, and have made a lot of progress. I started out totally sucking at games (-14 diagnostic) and through foolproofing, or a version of it, have gotten to -4 average or so, and still improving.

A few recent problem sets have totally killed me with conditional sequencing though, and I realized that this game type is very uncommon in early games, increasing in frequency (though still relatively rare) in later games.

Are there other trends like this to be aware of, in games specifically (besides substitution questions)?

Hi everyone! I have been studying for the LSAT since late May. When I say studying I mean 1-2 hours 4 times a week up until mid July and I have been doing about 2-4 hours a day everyday but Saturdays. I would study more if I could but on top of work and being a full time student its difficult! I have improved my score a lot upon starting (diagnostic 137) which I am proud of, but REALLY am aiming for 158-160. I take the LSAT this Saturday for the first time, but I also am taking November. Obviously I know I won't be able to reach my goal by Saturday, but does anyone have any advice for how to boost my score 7-9 points or so in the next 5 weeks? I really don't want to have to retake after November.

My worst is RC, best is LG. My biggest issue is timing. I can't get to the last passage of RC EVER, I can never get past #19 on LR, and I can never finish last passage of LG.

I took the LSAT in August after MONTHS OF STUDYING (which apparently didnt help at all) I scored I 138. I am planning on retaking it in November. Should I purchase 7 SAGE for a month to study? I did the schedule generator and they said a month is not enough time that I need to study 700 something hours. Its discouraging... is there no plans for like a month? I HONESTLY think I can raise my score even to 145... but idk if I should purchase it because it is very expensive, as I am unemployed PLEASE LET ME KNOW YOUR OPINION!!!

Hi everyone,

Recently it seems like the old goal times for games have disappeared and seem to have been replaced by seemingly random times generated with strange goal times (ex. instead of 6 mins for PT 15, G3 it's now 7:52 for some reason). Can anyone comment on this and is it possible to bring back all the old goal times for games?

What LR question types is the Intro to Logic “LAWGIC” section most useful for/when to know when to use it? I understand that it is highly useful for LG’s.

As the exam day is approaching (which is one month away), I can't help but feel impatient, especially when I feel like my fundamentals are shaking, or when I feel like my intuition in approaching questions on LR isn't working well.

How do I keep myself from losing patience, without getting distracted from practicing, drilling and reviewing my mistakes?

I got 163 in my first take in August LSAT and continue to stuck in 163 in PTs. My LR is usually -4/5 but my LG and RC fluctuate between -3 and -8 depending on how the test goes. I'm really frustrated because each test there's always that one section that I would miss -8 or so (sometimes I could -2 in LG but -8 in RC and other times -3 in RC but -8 in LG). I really don't know how to improve except for keep taking more PTs because I fell like I know all the fundamentals in LG and generally if the game is not some curveball weird games I could perform well (-2 or so). Should I retake in the upcoming October LSAT or push back to November? I can't decided mainly because I want to apply in this cycle and not being able to get an ideal score until the end of November makes me nervous about the application timeline. In the meantime, I don't see how I could get a score significantly better than my average 163 in October which is less than 10 days.

I wanted to know if anyone had any tips for improving LR and RC scores? I am currently getting -9 to -11 for LR, and around the same for RC. I also am finding that I will sometimes miss easy ones on LR, but when I review, I don't understand why I missed it in the first place. And for RC, I feel like I understand the passage, but I get tripped up during the questions. #help

For logic game explanation vids they are now showing a computed "target time" instead of the old suggested time bench marks that used to be there. For example, for one game he says in a video that you should aim for under 10 minutes for a game, but my "target time" for that game is 8:38. Is this an update? Before today I had never seen such specific target times under the videos. Also, In the past the time always seemed to line up with what JY said. Is there any way to switch this back?. Also how are these target times calculated?

Looking for a study partner to practice for the November lsat. Would love for both of us to take 2 PT's a week and then BR them together and talk about what we missed and how to improve- honestly mostly to keep each other accountable and hold each other to a strict study routine as this is the last month. Im trying to take PT 69, 70, 76, 80, 84, 85, 86 88 before the November test. Please message me if interested.

I am taking the flex exam on the 8th and RC is currently my worst section, probably because I've spent 99% of my time working on LR and LG. I have trouble retaining the information so have to read again and then lose time. On my most recent PT I got -4 LR and -2 LG, should I focus on keeping improving those or should I spend some time doing RC drills?

Hello Sagers! I have a quick, possibly trivial question regarding the online UI for the LSAT Flex that maybe someone who took the August exam could help me with: Is there a way to mark or blank out answer choices as eliminated when taking the test online?

I find this feature super useful when going through 2 or.3 answers with the fine-tooth comb after I've eliminated other choices. Wondering if I should continue to use this feature on 7Sage or get used to taking practice exams without it. Thanks!

How close before your test day are you planning to take your final PT? For example, I'm taking the October flex on the 8th. I'm considering taking a PT on the 3rd, and then taking the 4th-7th completely off. I'm hoping to experience the effect where people hit a new personal best score after taking a few days off from studying. Does this seem like a good strategy? Should I take the PT closer to the test or further?

Thanks for your input. Good luck!
