    Getting to maybe
    1L of a ride
    Planet Law school

Also a typing course to increase your speed would be useful on those issue spotting exams

    I've heard good things about:

One L: The Turbulent True Story of a First Year at Harvard Law School

It's not about law school, but I enjoyed reading "24 Hours with 24 Lawyers"

I'm using typing club online for this. It feels basically like a typing course. I also made a keyboard cover from cardboard.

Getting to Maybe seems good, but hard to implement and really learn without knowing any substantive law.

The LEEWS book felt a little easier to understand since it gave more thorough examples. You can probably get either used.

I have not read 1L of a ride or Planet Law School yet but I too have heard good things.

I was given this as a gift last weekend. It seems like a fairly entertaining read so far if a little complainy, but I have only read twenty or thirty pages.

Don't get too stressed out about reading prior to 1L. You'll have enough opportunity for that once school starts. Try to enjoy your pre-law school summer. Try to spend more time with friends and family - things will get busy at the beginning of 1L as you adjust to all the newness (and then after a bit things will hopefully become less hectic as you develop your own rhythm and process for studying).
