hey all,

so i've heard ppl say really good things about recording yourself taking a PT.

quick question - do you video record yourself for every PT you do?

or do you only video record yourself once in a while?

it's kinda a hassle to video record oneself... so i would love any thoughts/advice/comments on this. thanks!

I do record every PT and make a timing sheet each time like J.Y. does. (cf. J.Y.'s timing sheet of PT80; click "See timing sheet here.") You can see that he never spends more than 40-60 seconds on 1 or 2 star questions.

What! That's a thing?? I've never recorded myself, I have no desire to watch myself frowning at a paper for 35 mins!

On a slightly more serious note though, I can understand the benefit but I'm doing just fine in terms of improvement and I've never recorded myself. I wouldn't be too concerned!

I’m a strong believer in recording during drilling sections and PTing. I’ve found it immensely helpful for refining my technique.

That being said, this morning I couldn’t find the cable for my phone while heading out the door to write a PT, and it didn’t bother me much to not be able to record. :)

I think the thing to avoid is feeling anxious or frustrated over not recording in some cases. You don’t need those kinds of energy going through your body when you sit down to write. :)
