The score conversion scales on newer PTs are much less forgiving than the old ones. I was scoring in the mid 170s on the old PTs and then dropped to the high 160s low 170s on the newer ones despite missing roughly the same amount of questions -

Also, a lot of the high lsat takers score so high because they know why each AC is wrong and why the 1 AC they chose is correct. Process of elimination is what will get us those high scores! -

You might want to look more into the schools you are applying to. Some places do not require a GMAT in certain cases, for example a high LSAT score. -
