I also started with the Starter account and upgraded to U+. The problem sets and question banks/explanations are irreplaceable. There is no better way of drilling questions, especially when you can sort bytype through every LSAT ever released.

I would do it bytype if you are new to it. but move onto the timed 4 games. When you do like 5 back to back in out games for example, you already know its an in out game.
Just like with LR, it's okay to drill bytype in the beginning, but, as you progress, I think it's better to drill games as they appear on the actual test.

I agree with Alex, I think you should continue fool proofing while adding in timed sections of both LR and RC. Doing the full timed sections helps to bridge the gap between regular by-type drilling and taking full PTs.
