Hi everyone!
I am a single mom studying for the LSAT and I currently cannot afford to pay for professional revisions or help with my personal statement.
Is anyone willing to take a look at it and provide some feedback?
Anything helps! Thanks!

Hi all. Hope y'all are well.
Like a spectacular idiot, I underreported my GPA on the resume I submitted to law schools.
Not by much, just 0.05
I know they will see my real GPA on my transcripts, and I assume they will consider that number over the one I misreported.
Any chance I need to do something like email them a corrected version of my resume with my real GPA or am I being neurotic?
Thanks buds!
What school(s) can one get in with a 149/150 score?
So basically I'm applying in Feb. and my GPA is currently a 3.54 but next semester I'm doing an internship program for credit and you get As in all 12 credits pretty much automatically and that would def boost my GPA to like a 3.6 and I'm sure that would be advantageous to my application. How should I go about using this to my advantage? Could I add an addendum and if I did..would they care? I'm hoping that the GPA I actually graduate with would be reported in the rankings (which I assume would be the only consideration for GPA in terms of a tiny difference such as this).
Thoughts?
Basically was planning on applying this cycle but pushed LSAT back a bunch of times and now am taking it in January. Asked my Professors to submit recs beginning of Jan. Should I just hold that off and ask them to submit them in November or would it be okay if they submitted recs to LSAC now?
Hey 7sagers,
I will be reapplying to law school this year. I like my previous personal statement, however, there are some changes I will be making.
Admissions counselors recommend not submitting the same exact personal statement twice and I will not be doing that, but i am wondering how much one is expected to change their personal statement when reapplying? Also, any recommendations of editing services?
Thank you!
is anyone else applying to american schools as an international student? when filling out my LSAC applications there's a section for international students that has questions about visas. i obviously dont have one yet, so do i leave that section blank or do i fill out the visa that i WILL be applying for if accepted (student visa)?
Hi everyone,
The ABA has published its 2020 509 reports. We've updated our resources to include (1) the most recent medians for every law school and (2) a bunch of other data. New and exciting this year: we can finally see some statistics on GRE scores.
See the new medians here (in the same Coda doc that has application requirements) or here (a Google spreadsheet—scroll right for GRE information).
We've highlighted the changes between this year's medians and last year's here.
We've pulled out some of the most interesting ABA data for each school here.
A few quick points of interest:
Happy exploring, and happy New Year's!
Out of curiosity, has anyone gotten into Northwestern without an interview? Is it bad to skip out on it ? I'm currently applying and haven't decided if I want to do an online interview. Any insight would be appreciated! Thank you
Hi everyone,
Wondering what happens after you send in your application? We just put together a timeline. Hope it's helpful.
Happy holidays!
The school I'm applying to gave a lot of full tuition offers last year– about 20% of matriculants got full tuition or more. I'm above the 75th lsat and above median gpa (but below 75th), but it's January, so idk if I'd be able to get one. Since it's January, is it too late?

Hey guys, this is really just a rant from me because I just finished my NU Kira interview and let's just say no amount of practice prepared me lmfao The questions weren't tough by any means, but as someone who has pretty bad anxiety, I just choked for like 3/6 of the questions. I did become more comfortable for the last 4 questions, but oof. I did 24 rounds of practice and still managed to slaughter myself in the 6 question interview LOL brb while I go cry in a corner since I may have just ruined my chances lmfao Good luck to everyone who is still applying and are interviewing soon!🥲🥲 If anyone has some interesting interview stories or rants they would like to tell, please comment below. I'm going to need some funny stories to get over this.
Edit: if anyone had a bad interview and still got admitted, please comment below. Need some sort of hope 😂😭
Hi guys. Hope all are well.
Certain schools have emailed me with offers of a merit-based fee waiver. They specified that I don't need to use any kind of code, and the application fee should be automatically waived when I go to checkout on LSAC.
However, when I tried submitting my apps last night my application fees weren't waived for some of the schools that had sent me such an email.
Has this happened to anyone else? Also, what do you think I should do...
I.E. Should I be submit ASAP because of rolling admissions, or submit a week from now to ensure I get these waivers? Does it even matter if I submit a week from now, since no one is in the admissions offices anyways?
Thanks so much y'all. (3(/p)
Hi, so my CAS GPA was about .06 lower than my GPA through my school. Which one do I put on my resume? I know they already have both
How do you negotiate scholarships with a school you are admitted to? My top school has offered me a pretty generous scholarship so I don't want to seem ungrateful but obviously every dollar helps. How do i approach this? If anyone has advice it would be greatly appreciated!!
Hello! I submitted my transcripts to LSAC earlier in the year and just reviewed them now and noticed that their tabulation for my GPA is below what it is on my transcript. I understand that they convert the scaling and that affects some transcripts, but my issue is a bit unique. I was a part of a 5 year MBA program that allowed you to get an undergraduate degree in 3.5 years and an MBA in 1.5---all in one go. You get awarded both degrees at the conclusion of accomplishing your MBA. When I went to my transcript summary report on LSACs website, they included everything 2018 forward to completion 2019 (started undergrad Fall 2014) as part of my undergraduate tabulation, which is incorrect since I finished off my undergraduate courses in the fall of 2017. In effect, they've included all my graduate work in my undergraduate GPA totals. I phoned up LSAC and the woman I spoke with understood that this was an issue and helped forward a message onto re-tabulating my GPA. I just got an email back from LSAC and now they're telling me that they do include graduate degree grades in the undergraduate tabulation if those courses are completed prior to earning your undergraduate degree. To my knowledge graduate course work was never included in the tabs. I'm so confused now since my resume has what both my university, and the woman I spoke with at LSAC said was correct, but now LSAC is telling me I'm wrong. According to LSAC they're telling me I've got a 3.77, but my transcript is a 3.82, and my graduate degree was a 3.8. Really concerned here that there's going to be a big problem with my apps now. Called up the admissions and records department at my university and they're confused as well and don't understand how they came to that number. Anyone have any suggestions?
Hello all,
I went to 2 schools for my undergraduate degree, from my first school I transferred about 30 credits towards my new school. My question is, will the LSAC look at my old transcript and count all the grades from my old transcript towards my overall GPA on LSAC? My grades were poor in my old school, but significantly improved in my new school. I ended up graduating Summa Cum Laude with a 3.86 GPA. but had a really bad start to college in my old school. Maybe I should write an addendum to explain the grade difference? Also I had a different major back in my old school and ended up graduating with a degree in a completely different major, I don't know if that makes any difference at all. Any help is appreciated, thanks in advance!
Hey guys, I need help with my addendum. I know it should be short, but this is the most concise I was able to make it. There were two situations I wanted to address in my addendum that explains my gpa. I also wanted to explain the discrepancy in my actual gpa vs my lsac gpa. What do you guys think?
Addendum:
During my four years of college, I went through two experiences that negatively affected my academic performance. However, I was able to bounce back from these events and demonstrate my true academic ability in my final semesters.
During my first year at CUNY Queens College, I was running a small online business, and my main focus was to grow my business. At that time I had no plans to continue my education after college and due to that, I put in minimum effort into my academics. After that year, I started to discover my passion for activism and a career in law. Since then, I have taken my studies seriously, which reflects in my improvement after my first year.
In the spring semester of my junior year, I went through a mental low. It was the first time I had an issue with my mental health. I was considering taking that semester off because of my mental state, but I pushed through and did my best. Unfortunately, I received a 2.5 GPA and a D in a class. I asked my professor to give me an F instead, so I can retake the class and I earned a B. My school dropped the F from my GPA, but LSAC counted it in. This is the reason for the discrepancy between my college GPA, 3.25, and my LSAC GPA, 3.17. The spring semester of my junior year is not indicative of the dedication and ability I have towards academics. Later, I got the professional help I needed to overcome this obstacle in my life. Since then, I have demonstrated with my grades and strong work record that I have addressed these issues. I am excited to demonstrate this growth further in law school.
I cancelled my first LSAT score. Do I need to write an addendum about this?
I am a URM and wanted to draft a diversity statement. However, my topic is not race related, but is based on a situation at work during my pregnancy where I was clearly discriminated against by my employer. Would this story count as a diversity statement? After I wrote it, I was worried it may come across more as a Personal Statement. Especially since, the type of law I want to go into is labor and employment and I tied the end of the statement into how the situation contributed to why I want to be a labor and employment lawyer. I know @"David.Busis" says this is a good thing to do in his admissions course, but I'm not sure if this would be right in this case.
Additional info: my Personal Statement also discusses why I want to be a labor and employment lawyer but the narrative is based on a situation I grew from while working as an HR practitioner.
The school that I’m interested in released their 509 aba.
I don’t understand what the below stats means. Does it mean that out of the ones that were offered admission, only 433 actually enrolled? Also if this is the case. why are they offering admissions to so many when their school can only handle a certain amount of first year students?
Completed Applications 3055
Offers of Admission 1330
Total in First-year class 433
In case you missed it, Spivey released the good parts on a spreadsheet.

Please hit me up if you were recently accepted too and considering it. Exciting news :)
So I was meeting with one of my LOR writers yesterday and they informed me that they will not be able to have my LOR completed until the first week of January (the 4th). Is waiting these extra 2.5 weeks something that will negatively impact my application? I was originally planning to request a hold until my January LSAT anyway so I don't think it would really affect when it would be read.
