I am in panic mode - which I know isn't going to help the situation. I have been scoring in the low-mid 160s for months. I take my second LSAT next week and my last practice test was a 148, lower than the first PT I ever took! I get test anxiety already, so this isn't helping. Has anyone else experienced regression like this?

I have seen on these forums and other sites a range of how long people have been studying for the LSAT. How long have you and when do you plan too take the test?
Whether or not my score improved this morning, I'm done with my journey here. Just wanted to say thanks to the community here and to JY - I ended up on 7sage after consistently bombing LG and after 4 months of diligent fool proofing I finished my flex this morning fairly confident in my LG score.
Good luck everyone - hope you all end up at your dream school :)
Is anyone taking the test from Asia [including India]? Was hoping to create a discussion thread for the April exam where we can perhaps share tips/strategies to help one another!
Hi everyone,
I know the announcement is probably going to be delayed because of COVID uncertainty, but does anyone know when the LSAC normally releases the dates for the summer (May/June and onwards)? If anyone had any insight into when they might do it this year that would be greatly appreciated. Additionally, if they announce June and July as flex dates, would it be possible that they might transition these sessions into in-person LSAT for these dates depending on the COVID process?
I recently took PT37 as a "flex-converted" prep test. After BRing, I viewed my results on desktop and everything seemed fine.
However, after trying to view my score on the 7sage phone app via the grader feature, I ended up grading the Flex converted test as a normal prep-test by mistake. This dropped my score by a lot, and is messing with my analytics. I've tried to reverse the test back to a flex grading, but no such luck.
Any advice on correcting this? Thanks!
Hi!
Strange question, I know. I was granted a 50% time accomodation and recently realized that, with 53 min per section, I'll have to be sitting about 3 hours when you include the pre-test rituals with the proctor. Now, I have tiny blatter and can barely manage more than two hours without peeing. Since I was not granted any break time, I need to figure out a way to pee. Any suggestions? Will I be allowed to have a bucket next to me duirng the test? Any suggestions would be much appreciated.
Can we use soft ear plugs for LSAT writing?
Hi Guys ! If anyone knows new LSAT dates POST April FLEX - can you please let me know ? I've been keeping up with the LSAC.org site but just got wind of a June 7th exam, however, I do not see it posted on LSAC.org ?
Any insight would be great ! Thank you !
I am planning on taking the LSAT this summer and want advice on if I'm approaching studying correctly. I am aiming for mid-170s. I've gone through all 3 Powerscore bibles, and I bought the 7Sage monthly package at the very beginning of this calendar year. My diagnostic score was a 154. I have been taking one PT a week on 7Sage and so far my scores have been 157, 159, 161, and I scored a 165 with Blind Review each time. Average scores: -8 on LR, -12 on LG, -3 on RC.
My Study Method:
After Blind Review I have been printing out all of the answers I got wrong on the test and going through them individually. I write down what I got wrong, my thinking in why I got it wrong, and why the correct answer is correct. I then give a one sentence high-level summary of what to remember for next time. I was inspired by the LSAT Binder on TikTok: (https://www.tiktok.com/@caitlin.org/video/6889045570518928646?lang=en)
I have also foolproofed most of the Logic Games I've gotten wrong.
I am really worried that I haven't seen better progress in my scores thus far, especially since foolproofing and individually reviewing questions takes so long. I have a full-time job and have only been able to study for an hour or two in the mornings, so it takes me until Wednesday or Thursday to finish reviewing a single practice PT from the weekend.
What do you all think -- am I approaching this right? Should I not review so much after BR and focus on just doing sections? Or something else? I want to be as thoughtful as possible in my studying, especially given my high score goal. But I am worried I won't reach it because I feel like I haven't improved at all.
Hello,
When does LSAC typically release new test dates? Do they tend to release them in batches or one by one?
Thanks,
PB
Below is a link to Gladwell's podcast (part 1) where he talks about his experience taking the LSAT. There's still another part to come but the pod ends up being more about him contemplating/questioning the timing constraints placed on the LSAT in particular and law school testing in general. Figured some of you would find it interesting, enjoy.
I heard there were problems with catalina. Does anyone know big sur is okay
i didnt bomb it but definitely not my best
idk maybe bc i was running on 6 hrs of sleep
but still not what i was looking forward to before my test on tuesday
Does anyone have advice for keeping your PT scores more consistent? Over the past two weeks I’ve fluctuated between 165 and 172, taking roughly 4-5 PTs a week. Today I took two PTs and scored a 166 on the first, 171 on the second, less than six hours apart from one another. I know this is probably a wack study method, but I’d appreciate any advice lol
So this is a bizarre question but I'm so serious - how many jackets are you allowed to have within your reach during the exam? I get really cold, and often will wear like two pairs of socks and three jackets inside, but I don't want to end up too hot (stress) or too cold (I have no heat). Is there a rule against...changing jackets?
Does anyone know when LSAC will release the June and July LSAT test dates?
I was just wondering what things I could use on test date. For example, how many pieces of paper, and what type, if I can consume food/drink, etc.
Also, when it comes to Proctor U, do I just go on the website and the test is available? Basically, is there anything special I need to do before tomorrow for the test?
Thank You
Does anyone have some last minute advice on what they think about during the test itself? I always feel like I understand what I missed, etc. when going through old PTs, but then when I take the next test I forget everything I thought I learned. In other words, is there anything you tell yourself such as "do XYZ on LR" or "remember ABC on RC"?
I've been scoring between 157-159 the past few tests, in the hopes of hitting the 160s before my flex on Tuesday.
Just took PT 89, which was probably a mistake lol. Although I could definitely feel that I wasn't into it (ie: tired, wasn't reading as clearly) I got a 151 which is what I scored last February... ouch.
I know this probably isn't indicative of my progress or how things will go next week, just looking for some reassurance I guess. Or thoughts from anyone else who may have experienced something similar.
I had heard 89 was difficult but I didn't think it would be difficult enough to bring me back to where I was a year ago when I joined 7 Sage lol. For the record it was mainly my RC score, but still...scary this close to my test.
I had planned on taking the May Flex as my last PT before my test on Tuesday? Do you guys think that I should? (ie: is it more or less likely that I will get a confidence boost from it lol) Otherwise I will just take the timed sections separately rather than a timed exam.
Side note: how on earth did I get ONE question right on the first arts passage, but FIVE right on the peptides passage???? What even is my life? ?@ 2be2ui
Taking M20 for a confidence boost
We got this!!
Anyone have confidence boosting strategies before the test? Like maybe a good test to take or games or psychological strategies or something?
No matter what problem set, I always miss the high priority questions. I can't figure out how to isolate those so I can practice them. Does anyone know how?
I'm taking the January test and looking to book a hotel.
What kind/type of hotels would be great for the test?
My scores in each section have been:
LG: -3
LR: -12 - (-8) (-10 average)
RC: -12 - (-8) (-10 average)
Consistently my performance in LG has been -3, By coincidence, I typically guess 3 questions on each of them. So I have horrible luck at guessing and my error is from lack of speed.
I did notice if I take longer time per question, it's typically at grouping questions, especially grouping w/ repeated items.
I also run out of time at LR and RC, where I guess 3-5 questions in each. I usually get -12 - (-8) (average of -10) in each section, where very rarely my guesses are correct.
I need a score in the 160s to be admitted to the law schools I applied to . This seems within reach if I just solve my lack of time issue, turning my scores in each section to roughly -1, -7, -7, respectively.
With only 5 days left until my LSAT write, what are the best ways to improve?
