Never haven taken the LSAT or the LSAT Flex, can I ask, is there a visible timer that is counting down or just a five minute warning? Thanks! Also, can I use whatever color writing utensils I want now that they okayed mechanical pencils and pens? Whatever work paper I want?

I don’t know if anyone else has this problem but I can’t highlight anything when I’m taking PTs on law hub. I can highlight when I go on a desktop but on my laptop which I will be taking the flex on I can’t. Is the flex on something similar to law hub? I’m worried I wont be able to highlight on the test
For those of you who have taken the FLEX, how difficult is it compared to previous exams? I know in recent years there have been more Misc LG that are hard, and it seems that the LR are becoming more tricky.
Is that trend the same for FLEX -- any advice on how it was structured/content?

Does anyone feel that they're woefully uninformed abt political happenings? I try to keep up with the news but I inevitably fall off for weeks at a time and I haven't watched the DNC or RNC this year. Do you guys spend time reading/watching the news? What are your favorite sources? Should I set aside 20 minutes a day or so to keep myself informed?
Hey guys,
So, I'm scoring around 164 range. I got down to -4 on LR and I constantly score -0 or sometimes -1 on LG sections. But, RC is literally a score killer. I just took a PT 37 today and scored -13. My average RC is -8. I'm glad that my LR is improving, but I don't know what to do with RC. It't not that I'm discouraged, but I just cannot find "techniques" to use for RC. I do low-res and high-res, but I just cannot understand the passages enough to solve the problems in time. Is there any RC experts who can share the methods they use during PTs?
I'm a suuuuuuuuper splitter (or will be come Sep 18th) and am feeling great heading into my first official writing.
My advice is keep going. No matter what, keep going. Life is not easy, neither is the test. When you are feeling down tap into your "why?"
As for knowledge find out what way of thinking about things works for you. Recalling my thoughts when selecting wrong (or right but uncertain) answers has been the biggest benefit for me. Also with LG, just trying to figure out "was there a better way I could have approached that game?" I don't necessarily look for the "most efficient" way directly, I more so seek flexibility in each game. Meaning, how many different ways could I have done this game? And more importantly, how do those thoughts apply to AR in general?
I'm pumped and no one else really understands the grind I've put myself through the last few weeks so I wanted to put the energy out there and claim it moving forward. I will master this test and you can too.
hi guys..just wanted to come on here and let some emotion out because i know nobody who is taking the LSAT or who wants to go to law school and its hard not to talk about it. ive been trying extremely hard to stay positive, and as my test gets closer its wavering. I am taking it this weekend, and my goal is the high 160s. in the middle of my studies, i was scoring mid 160s and high 160s BR. but the last two weeks with the exception of one exam i have scored 160-162 with mid to high BR. i am definitely going to take the exam a second time, but i just dont know what to do right now and i felt like giving up on law school so many times, mostly because i feel like i wont be able to get to where i need to be to get into a good school. i recently took my last PT before the exam and i thought i did good, but again ended up getting a 161..that ended in a 30 minute crying session lol.
LR is holding me back significantly and i just feel like i cant do anything to improve now, as i have spent 6 quarantine months studying for the test which consisted of 8 hour study days at least 5 days a week. i dont even know what i don't understand because it always varies depending on the question.
so basically i just wanted to let that all out.
i wish the best of luck to everyone taking the test this weekend and in the future. thank you for taking the time to read this.
Hi everyone ! I’m planning to take the LSAT in November , I only have 2 months & a few days to study which is nerve wrecking because I also started my semester to finish my BA by spring. My study plan is to take two PT’s a week , blind reviewing right after, the rest of the days I plan to time myself with specific sections & see where my strengths & weaknesses stand. However , I’m not sure if my study plan is good enough to hit my goal score by the time I take the test. If anyone has any tips or advice on what I should add to my study plan. I calculated that doing two PT’s a week until my test day is only about 20 PT’s & perhaps that’s not enough. Thank you!!
I am scoring in the range of 155-159 and my goal is low 160s (160,161,162,163,164) with a month and change left for the test, what is the best approach to take to get those extra points?
Hey All,
I'm taking the November 2020 exam, which puts me at 80 days before the exam. My cold diagnostic score was a 146, but I only managed to finish half the exam because of timing. I started LSAT Trainer by Mike Kim last week and have also been going through the 7Sage CC. I wanted to see if anyone has any studying advice in terms of approach. My goal is to hit a 170 by the exam date. If November does not go as planned, I can sit in for January. However, I'd like to get in my apps in as early as possible.
If anyone has any generic or specific advice that worked for them, I'd greatly appreciate it! Cheers!
This may have been answered before but I am confused as to whether or not I should still be PTing while doing the CC? or do I just do the curriculum up until they give me the PTs? I'm at roughly 20% into the CC
Hello Fellow 7Sagers,
If someone has taken the LSAT and can respond, that would be helpful.
Q: During the test, is it better to skip questions one is unsure of keeping time constraints in mind?
Not sure if anyone is concerned about this but, anyone else in the east Texas/Louisiana area worried about how the storm will effect testing this weekend? I'm wondering if there is any information on what the LSAC will do if the hurricane takes out the power/wifi in these areas and people are unable to test? If anyone has any clue if they would offer a free retake or offer a later day in August testing please let me know!
My question is all in the title. I am just wondering what ya'll do the day before taking the LSAT. I am taking mine on the 29th, and any advice would be greatly appreciated!
I've gotten through a little over 70% of the core-curriculum, but haven't begun full-proofing or doing timed tests. Should I expect a sudden increase having gone through just the lessons and problem sets?
I began with a 149-150 diagnostic and am gunning for a 160+ by either October or November.
Hi! I'm in a desperate state and need a tutor. I need all-around help. I'm working through 7Sage - I just need a little (or a lot more) help.
A couple of August test takers, including me, experienced difficulty logging into our Proctor U accounts despite having already registered for a time slot. Called LSAC earlier today and my issue has been resolved this evening. Since the test is coming so soon, please double check if you are able to log into Proctor U and that your time slot is secure to avoid any last minute hustles. Best of luck to everyone!
Hi everyone, I'm wondering if someone who wrote an LSAT flex could help me understand something. I'm wondering so a proctor will be someone who is basically looking at me while I do the exam, will they know not to speak/bother me during the exam? I also have some things in my room like a clock, do you guys think it's best I cover it/remove it from the wall? While waiting for a proctor, are we able to run to the bathroom or do we have to sit waiting? Thanks! #help
I was born in Guatemala, and have lived here in the US for the majority of my life as undocumented. I am a part of an indigenous community back home. I have seen that many people consider URM as Mexican/African American... so what am I?
Hi, everyone. For those who have taken the LSAT-Flex, does ProctorU display a timer during the test or can you only monitor time if you have a watch?
I tried a practice test shortly after starting 7sage to see how the interface looked and felt, with no intention of finishing the PT. My score of 120 is sticking around despite not having actually taken the test "for real." Not a big deal, but it's kinda messing with my analytics and the trends I see. Is there anyway to clear this out of the system?
Hey guys, my name is Kyle and I'm looking to form another study/accountability group. I currently have a group and they are fantastic. However, I'd like to get different points of view when it comes to LR to look and see which thought processes are effective.
I got a 157 diagnostic on my first PT and I am looking to score in the 168-175 range. Let me know if you'd like to form a group!
hey does anyone know what the format of the lsat flex is? just want to confirm that it is one LR, one RC, and one LG and one random section?
For the October flex, when do we pick times? Will we get an email from LSAC?
Hi,
I'm always confused about these questions. I don't understand if the question is asking you all the potential objects that can belong in the group, or the potential objects in the group in one instance.
For example (Prep Test 43, Question 18): "Which of the following could be a complete and accurate list of each of the office buildings that the falafel tuck serves?"
A. X
B. X, Z
C. X,Y,Z
D. Y,Z
E. Z
A, B, and E can be eliminated based on the fact that the stimulus provides that F must serve Y. The answer is D because the question meant "in one scenario". However, I read it as "all the potential trucks" the Falafel truck could serve. In one possibility, F serves Y,X and in another Y,Z. So potentially, F could serve all 3 leading me to answer choice C.
I'm definitely reading this question wrong. Can someone please explain to me the wording difference between when they ask for all potentials vs. in one possibility?
