Hello, I am 48. A career changer and considering using this forum to study....I am trying to review the logic games for free before I commit to a purchase. I can't seem to find any answer to this question: Does this review course require the purchase of a book to go along with the videos? Or, is the information such as a text, included? Any information would be greatly appreciated

I just needed to share with folks who would understand my pride without coming off as arrogant to friends -- I just PT'ed under full testing conditions and got a 174. May or may not have started crying in public.
I have been massively struggling these last few weeks after deciding to retake when the Feb scores came out (was averaging a 168 and got a 164). My average is still right around 168 but I randomly got a 163 the other week and lost it. I wasn't sure if this retake was worth it, felt like I had been wasting my time, and almost decided to let that 164 define me and give up.
I have hit the 170's before but something felt different about this test.
Keep pushing people! It's worth it! Thank you 7sage!
With a week left until the June exam, I’m wondering what consensus exists here in the wisdom of tapering off the study schedule? Like a marathoner, I believe that while it’s certainly unwise to abandon studying altogether this last week, there may be some benefit to tapering off slightly.
So my cold-diagnostic was a 151. Just finished the CC and took my first timed PT after completing it and I scored a 156. I know I messed up in RC by running out of time on the last passage, and one LG game threw me off which I can work on. I also am a bit rusty on LR since I haven't drilled LR for about 3 weeks while I finished LG and RC core curriculum stuff, so I missed a -9 on each LR section.
I got about 7 weeks to go before the July LSAT, if I just drill LR and LG while sprinkling in some RC, do y'all think I could realistically crack 160 by July/September? I plan on drilling LR 3 times a week and LG twice a week (which I can switch up depending on how well I'm doing in either).
Hey guys,
I'm taking the June test in 3 weeks, but I am still struggling with LG. :(
I've already foolproofed 1-35, and did 36-60 twice. But when I took timed tests this week, I'm still missing 5-6 questions. Granted, I've improved a lot from just couple months ago, when I missed like 8-9 questions. But I do want to prep my LG as much as I can for the upcoming June test.
Do you have any suggestions for last minute drilling in my case? I'm planning to take 2 PT's a week also.
Thank you and happy studying for June takers :)
Hey 7Sagers,
For a whole month, I'll be leading Reading Comp review sessions every other day. These sessions are open to all 7Sagers who have an account, free or paid.
In total, I'm going to cover 8 PTs of RC. That's 32 passages.
I'll do this over 16 sessions, covering two passages per session.
All sessions will start at 9pm and end at midnight, Eastern Time.
If you're on the west coast, that's 6pm - 9pm, Pacific Time.
[Schedule](https://i.imgur.com/YMFSCrd)
https://i.imgur.com/YMFSCrd.png
Should I join these sessions?
If you've finished or are almost finished with the RC section of the Core Curriculum, then this is meant for you. At minimum, I will assume that you've finished every lesson in the "Reading Comprehension - Science" lesson set. First lesson from that class is here.
How many of these sessions should I join?
Probably half or fewer. The reason is because you don't want to waste PTs. You'll learn something from these sessions but the returns diminish at some point. And there's value in keeping a subset of these PTs clean so you can use them as fully timed PTs.
What happens in these sessions?
We'll read the passage together, paragraph by paragraph. I'll ask you to make low resolution summaries of each paragraph. We'll use those low res summaries to build higher resolution summaries. Then, we'll answer the questions together.
How should I prepare?
Have a clean, unmarked copy of the PT ready in front of you so we can read and answer the questions together. Please wear headphones and try to be in a quiet place. It's okay if you've done the passage before. It's also okay if you've never seen the passage before.
Will these sessions be recorded?
No. If you're looking for video explanations of these passages, you can find them on your Progress page.
How do I join?
Please join my meeting from your computer, tablet or smartphone.

Hello my fellow 7sagers.
I need opinions/advice. so I have been completing the 7sage cirrculum as per usual - currently STILL in the must be true Logical resoning section. I want to the write the september or Nov. lsat and im feeling like I should have started logic games section by now.
DO you reccomend I continue following the cirriculum order - and slowly go through LR as I currently am, and start logic games when I get there? orrrrr what if I started that section of cirriculum too and alternated between LR and LG studying 2 hours LR and 2 hours LG. or LR one day and LG one day? or is that too much brain fuckery? I thought it would help prevent burnout from one section (LR)....and also get me ready for LG. i study 4 hours max daily.. :(
I just feel like im going through the cirriculum slower than most and panicking I wont have enough time to improve on LG. since it is already June & I totally suck at them. BLAH. I'm also struggling with Must be True section of LR - feeling quite discouraged to even move forward. :(
any suggestions with regards to studying both sections or staying on one .. i feel like im moving at the pace of a turtle...
or any advice for the discouragement I feel :( with MBT Q's & continuing the cirriculum regardless..
thank you all
you're the best :)
How do you differentiate between the context and the premise? Do you always have to have a premise indicator in order to have a premise?
I have hit the most literal plateau, and I take the test June 11 (also signed-up for July 23).
On my past FIVE tests I have scored a 167. No more, no less.
The good news is that this is my first time taking the test for real, so I think that a 167 is a fine score to have on record for my top choice schools (NYU, UofM, UC Berkeley). However, I'm so frustrated that I'm not pushing through to a 170+.
Each test I can feel the one section that does it to me - it is usually the second logical reasoning section... I go into it and feel fatigued looking at the questions/it is directly after break and I feel just out of it (-2 on first lr section, -6 on second).
Whenever I do logical reasoning outside of a PT, I get between -1 and -4, usually -1 to -3.
I feel like, at this point, I should be able to push above 170 for the real test in July (I hope). My blind reviews are consistently above 176. This plateau is just so frustrating. I also am hoping that the adrenaline rush on the day of the test might help keep me focused (usually adrenaline keeps me focused vs distracted).
I am trying to assess my readiness for the July exam, and want to know the range I should be scoring in if I want to get a 170 on the actual LSAT. I've heard people say +3 points from the score you are aiming for, but others say at least +5.
Hello! Last February I took the LSAT and scored a 163, which I am very happy about. I am currently planning to take the exam again in Sep and am hoping to bump my score up near the 170s for acceptance and scholarship purposes. For my first test, I self studied by using a Kaplan book, PTs 60-80, and 7Sage's free youtube videos of all the Logic Games. I am not entirely sure how to go about studying for the test in 3.5 months and am seeking advice from everyone here! All thoughts appreciated
So when the proctor says "Put your pencils down", can I pick up my watch and reset the time on it? Or do I have to wait until the next section begins before doing anything with my watch?
I've actually gotten better at managing my anxiety, however, any time I try meditation I can never focus hard or long enough. I always get too distracted, too bored, too side-tracked, etc. I know I'm making excuses, but I have really really tried to no avail. Can anyone help?
Hi All - I start my study schedule in a few weeks for the 11/17 exam and was looking through my schedule to week 16 and it states the following: "LSAT PrepTest 58, 59, 60, 61, - 3 lessons 3 hours".
Does this mean I am should be taking 4 full LSAT exams in one week? I have read folks taking one exam every week or maybe 2, but 4? Is my reading of the schedule correct?
Is there a shortcut to a locating a specific webinar or a webinar category via the 7Sage app?
What constitutes mature student? I’m referring to Canadian and American law schools. For some reason I thought it meant applying over the age of 25
Could someone explain Argument part and also tell me where JY talks about it in the content?
This is my first PT after I started going back through the 7Sage CC in January. I haven’t taken a PT since around September 2016. Never got over a 160 when I studied over the summer of 2016.
Tbh I did grade it before BRing it but I’m gonna BR I swear.
I threw in a random section so it’d be 5 sections, bubbled in my answers, used the timed proctor. Totally choked on the first simple sequencing game since I wrote down a rule wrong and just skipped it and tried to do the next one but still had some nerves so I f*cked that up too, by the third game I finally calmed down and got 100% on the rest of it. Ended up with -10 on LG smh. LRs I hit -0 and -1, RC I got -2. Didn’t grade the extra 5th section yet.
Haven’t used any prep material other than 7Sage. People on here emphasizing the importance of BR and writing out explanations to answers has helped me a lot.
Moving forward I’m gonna start drilling one LR or RC section and then immediately do an LG section after. I obviously struggle to switch my brain back into LG mode. I have no problem with LG until I’m taking it in the middle of an exam.
Hey everyone,
I'm not typically the person who turns to forums for help, but I am falling apart here and have no idea what else to do. After more than 30 PTs, my scores are not consistent. They have ranged anywhere from 161-175. I hit the high160s on my first few tests, and I was taken aback, and I thought there was only one place my scores could go, and that was up. But even now, after all of these tests, I still feel like I roll the dice every time I sit down to take one.
I always know when my score is going to be good. I feel good, my head is clear, and I have a killer instinct for most questions, especially in logical reasoning. But when I'm off, I know it, and things fall apart quickly. I'm unfocused, get frustrated, and second guess my answers. Sometimes I even struggle finishing a section. I have done everything to try and replicate the former state of mind (exercise, nutrition, rest, etc.), but nothing seems to keep me performing consistently.
My last 10 tests, taken about one day apart, were, respectively: 171, 164, 170, 164, 169, 163, 164, 171, 168, 175.
It's been quite discouraging and frustrating constantly going from a high score to a lower score. I have been studying since January, and I wanted to sit for the June exam, but I just couldn't because I am so inconsistent. I moved my test date to July in hopes of remedying this issue.
Should I allow a few more days in between my PTs? Has anyone experienced this type of issue?
All suggestions are welcome! Thank you so much.
Hi guys,
I haven't written in a while and some of you have seen my posts as I was prepping for the LSAT. I'd like to let you all know that I actually got into law school! I just graduated from undergrad with my BA in Biology and Spanish a week ago and I will be attending U New Hampshire in the Fall! I couldn't have asked for a better school for Intellectual property.
I'm writing this mainly to say thank you all so much for all the help and support so many of you gave me. To those studying, the struggle is so worth it. I actually cried at my own graduation because of the sheer relief and joy I felt. I'm sure many of us on the other side have similar experiences too. :)
Peace out! Study hard and prosper.
Hi all!
This is my first time posting in a Discussion Forum, and I could really use some words of encouragement. I currently work full time as a paralegal, and I have been studying since September of 2017. I'm not gonna lie to you, and I'm sure many of you know - it's so gosh darn hard to make yourself study after a full day of work!! Anyways, at first I wasn't studying very regularly, but then I got into the habit of studying on my lunch breaks, and after work as well. It's been SO exhausting, but I know that it's worth it when I see myself getting higher scores and having deeper understandings on a consistent basis. I was originally going to take the February 2018 test, but I then decided to take the June 2018 test instead, so that I would have more time to study. I THINK I'll be okay taking this June test, but I'm starting to panic again with it being right around the corner. I'm not sure if my doubts have any real basis, or if it's just me being my normal super paranoid anxious test-taking self. I know that if I'm not pleased with my score, I can retake the LSAT in September, but I just don't want to have to resort to that. Is that silly of me?
Thanks in advance for reading and for your help :)
This is probably a ridiculous question, but I'm going to ask it anyway. I started studying for the LSAT a few days ago and I've been postponing taking a diagnostic because I'm afraid I'll get discouraged if I get a really low score. Do you think I should take it regardless? I guess I'm just looking for reassurance that no matter what score I'll get on my diagnostic, I will still be able to get a good score through hard work. What improvement have you all made since your diagnostic?
I've been racking my brain as to the best method to go about studying for he November 2018 test, and I know I want to go over the CC again, even if just a month, I already have it outlined and it will help me a lot, I'm sure. And then after that, I think I just need to start taking PT's. If I take two per week, and BR them, do 4 days of LSAT stuff, I should be able to get a decent score. I'm just rambling, but yea, help would be great. IDK, suggestions?
How do you study for the LSAT? I just finished the CC and watched the post-CC webinar so now the real work begins. I have all summer to study and I want to make the best use of time.
Hi, everyone!
I need some help going through questions 16 and 18 of PT 77, Sec 2.

Def not - this is not about whether someone should or should not, it is about whether something is or is not harmful

So, I know this is the answer. But I am confused on how.... How do we know that an individual is interfering? Without having the information that "everyone either pursues folk remedies or conventional treatments" then couldn't someone who is promoting a folk remedy actually just be causing someone who would otherwise seek no remedy to at least be doing something about their health? I feel like there is a gap in this answer and I can't push myself to buy into the 'interfere' portion of this... Please help.

Honesty is not relevant to this case
D. deleted
responsibility is not relevant to this case
E. deleted
-again, responsibility is not important here
Perhaps this is one where I'm overly caught up on semantics and should just let it be and recognize that the other ACs clearly are not correct. However, under timed conditions, I kept feeling like a different AC must have been right given the assumption that came with the word 'interfere'.
Thoughts?
